MMR problem

Can anybody explain what's happening to the mmr lately? I have 1,4k hours and i ONLY get patrick stars in my team, also the killer is constantly tunnelling and camping (it's even worse than the f2p Epic Gamers back when it was free)

    can this be explained by "you just die a lot"?

    Since the ability to escape is considered the sole factor affecting skill rating, even the most inexperienced survivors can escape to some extent and increase their skill rating based on luck, provided they perform Gen's Fix.

    I've noticed this too. When I play killer, I get God-tier survs and SWF's with full meta builds (I'm just an average mid tier Killer player my self at best), and when I play survivor, I get full meta killers (Blight, Nurse, Wesker, Blight…)

    I can, and will admit that I'm not that good of a player. I have about 800h in the game and I've just now began to understand how to loop

    I know that BHVR has admitted that the MMR prioritizes on finding matches, not balanced matches. Meaning, first it tries to find lobbies with your MMR bracket, but when those are full, it doesn't just wait for a spot to open in your bracket, it begins to widen the search from other brackets. Just so that you don't have to wait in the queue too long. Which makes the whole idea of MMR redundant, tbh.

    Why even have a SBMM in the first place if it works like this?

    matchmaking seems to be off for quite a time now. I basically only get dumb mates and tunneling killers. Its basically impossible to play now.
