What about killer disconnects?
Survivors have many caveats that allow them to disconnect, with being able to leave after being slugged twice the most recent one.
What about killers? Why can't they leave when the exit gates are powered? Just remove the killer from the map and let the survivors free roam. Being obligated to watch survivors gloat in order to go next is outdated in the current game. It's even worse when you go push them out but there's still a mikeala crouching around somewhere in the map waiting out the entire EGC until the last second for whatever reason. There's no reason to not let the killer simply leave. It hurts nothing.

Forcing the Killer to push you out actually does have a gameplay purpose. It wastes the Killer's time to let your teammates across the map get the other gate open (or whatever else) safely.
Outside of that though, it is often used for taunting and I wouldn't mind the Abandon system covering these situations.

Sure. But you could also just let the killer leave and all that stuff is irrelevant. You want to stay at the exit gate to buy your teammate time. The killer leaves. Congratulations! You've bought them the entire EGC duration.
That point might be relevant if this post were about punitive measures for survivors staying in the gate. It's not.

I feel like being able to abandon when exit gates are open would be fine, but they would need to replace the killer with a bot killer since there's people that do tome challenges in the endgame collapse.

What's stopping them from doing challenges on an empty map? I'm not advocating for the game to end, merely for the killer to no longer be present.

I was literally in support of your idea but okay whatever

any option that removed the human player from enduring the tbag fest would result in a resounding NO! from survivors. i would like an abandon option for killer when gates are open, the killer can choose to try for 1 final kill if they think there is a chance or they choose to just abandon, as killer i would like that choice. as survivor it doesnt effect me because when the gates are open i leave asap anyway….even if my team are not at the gates lol.

@Ohyakno I don't think this is a good idea because if every killer has the opportunity to discount when the exit gates are powered, what about the killers that want to stay to use no ed or even blood warden. It would harm those perks also ruin the element of surprise. For Example, just think to yourself, " hummmm, the killers aren't disconnecting, they must have something up their sleeve."

This is a fair point.

I can see that and it's appreciated, but I'm extremely tired of seeing people justify survivors slamming Ctrl in the exit gates because I had the temerity to play a low tier killer with little regression and tried to spread hooks. I understand that there are reasons to linger and that is not what I am attempting to address.
