Why do survivors bring the killer to other survivors that are working on gens it’s so annoying?
This happens to me plenty of times where the survivors being chased by the killer they always bring the killer to my gen and guess what now the gen I was working on won’t get finished because they are so stupid and selfish because they want the killer to chase someone else. This happens a lot for solo q and teammates are so trash.

To take the heat off of themselves. Being the first one on hook is an instant game over often times. Even if it's to the detriment of the trial overall, at least you get to stick around for a bit longer.

95% of the time it's accidental. Not everyone runs Bond, so they may not be aware of where their teammates are.

when i do it its accidental or im forced to go that way by the killer cause the area im in is not the best.

Bond hardly ever leaves my survivor load out. That way it never happens. Or if it does and im on comms I can call it out to my friends.

I do this a fair bit but it's always accidental. It's not my fault the game puts gens inside the loops and gyms that I'm running to in chase. Where else is a Survivor meant to run to?

When I do it I'm just trying to get to a tile and i didn't know the person was there, but if I approach and hear a gen chugging hard I'll usually swerve. I'd rather take the hit and have the gen get done. Especially if it's an important gen.
The bigger issue to me is people bringing chase to a hooked survivor. They're well aware that the hook is there.

It happens by accident mostly they should be finishing your gen for you if that happens while you lead the killer somewhere else

accident for sure, unless they're actively griefing.
also the resources somewhere else might be cooked and a bunch of dead zones thats it, just another reason why soloq is the weakest role in the game sadly.

- It just happens sometimes, that's all. Especially on small maps like Haddonfield (for example), it's the absolute norm... the central road is always the same, and it's perfectly normal to interrupt survivors who are working on a gen. Obviously when you can you don't do it, but with killers like Artist who forces you to always change loops, it's perfectly normal to interrupt your teammates.

thats soloq for you lol. i tried everything to stop people doing that to me but nothing works. i tried telling people in pre match lobby "running better together, so if its yellow dont bring the killer to me" they always seem to lead the killer to me regardless. At that point i just move to a new gen or hide out of sight then people complain that the only one doing gens (me) was hiding lol.

How are your teammates supposed to know which gen you are working on unless you’re in SWF on comms?

better together, bond, any number of perks really. sound of the gen? they are not exactly quiet and can often see the pistons moving on it from a distance.

It's also your responsibility to know if the chase is getting too close to you and pre run and/or hide if necessary. Don't put all the responsibility on the chased survivor who probably doesn't even know you're there and has enough to worry about at the moment. Annoying? Sure. But let's all do our part to stay alive in the fog, ya?

idk why you’re getting downvoted, it’s a valid frustration and happens to everyone at some point.
That being said…whenever I sandbag it is entirely accidental. Most of the time I cannot hear a gen because of the chase music and I have no idea where other survivors are.
I have been flamed in chat because ppl would lead killer to me expecting me to take chase for them. Like bro I’m solo q…idk what you want.
It’s best to assume it’s accidental unless it happens several times in a match by the same person. Then it’s suspicious

Why?
First is they dont know because they are soloq and they dont see the gen is highly progressed or its indoor.
Second reason its only intentionaly because theres no logical meaning why would someone bring the killer to highly progressed gen to stop it, its either by clulesnes of the chased survivor or his intention to throw the killer off by brining him to gen with people bad its rat move which is one of key reasons your tem cant compleate gens.

If is indoor then they dont see it or hear it only when its too late but many players just run and dont care and this move is very bad for the outcome of the game for survivor team and gives upper hand to killer its like shooting your friend in race into a foot but you are both in the same team, same as scooring goal into your own gate, its just bad move to pull like killer missing 3 easy hits for no reason.

The amount of times there has been one dead and I'm on hook and lil meg will run over with the killer to just run around hook instead of even trading.

Mostly accidental. When i used to play survivor I liked using Empathic Connection, and there were definitely other survivors that would run the killer straight to me while I was on a gen. In general I didnt mind, as I'd take a hit for them or even try take chase if they were death hook. But the ones who'd run the killer to me when I was the one injured or on death hook would annoy me. Thankfully they were rare.

Maybe if we had more perk slots, but those are at a premium. We gotta run anti-tunnel perks, anti-slugging perks, gen perks, chase perks, healing buff perks. At some point, there just isn't room for Bond.
Also quite frankly, if you think I can hear a goddamn thing over the obnoxious Animatronic chase music, you are sorely mistaken.
Which is to say, overall usually it's an accident. I don't think I've ever brought a killer to someone's gen in chase intentionally. Most people aren't actively trying to sabotage you, the generator or brush the killer off onto their teammate. They're just in chase, and didn't realise where you were.

fair enough with animatronic sounds, but perks i have to disagree with. i dont run anti slug, anti tunnel or healing perks. i have mix of gen and chase perks but im not forced to run them by any means. true 4 perks inst enough to cover everything so you need to prioritize what perks are needed. For me i felt better together was needed most to stop people bringing the killer to me but it either made no difference or gave people a gen to head for when they are in chase. Pretty much on the players as a whole for ruining that idea lol. now i dont run it and stick to a gen/chase build. But if players pay attention when i say "yellow gen means stay away, im on it" and see a yellow gen and avoid it i would still be running better together with no issues.

As a console player, you can say it as much as you want, I cannot see it. Console players don't have access to chat. So again, I promise, probably not on purpose.

i dont have access to chat and on console i can see it just fine. big yellow gen. its like saying you cant see pallets because they are big yellow pallets

My apologies I misread it as you stating that in pregame chat, sorry!
But there are other perks that highlight gens yellow, both killer and survivor ones, so it's not exactly as simple as "avoid the yellow gen" because that could be several things.

true people that dont have lobby chat on console have a reasonable excuse and can justify accidents. But i think most players are PC players (epic, steam even xbox pc gamepass) and they all have chat options in lobby so there is no excuse for these people that can type and read the lobby chat telling them yellow means stay away from the gen but they continue to ignore it.

The reason it happens in solo queue, is because… *drum roll*… they have no way of knowing you're there till it's too late. A simple answer that doesn't require players to be selfish or stupid.
I'd say stick to playing SWF, but nobody with self-respect would tolerate being spoken to like that. Especially over something as trivial as making a mistake in a computer game.
