What is the point of playing off meta killers?

Why do I even bother playing killer? I play Sadako, get Garden of Joy, survivors play like complete sweats and style on me all game, i desperately attempt to get one kill, and then they say ez.
Yeah, I know it was Ez, I’m playing an M1 killer on Garden of Joy, tf was I supposed to do.
Why do survivors act like this. You KNOW you have it easy. Why rub it in? It’s so demeaning, I quit killer like twice a year because this games balance is complete garbage, survivors take complete advantage of it and then act like YOU’RE bad for not playing around it, as if they don’t have an inherent advantage.

What the hell was I supposed to do? The entire map is completely safe, it has a million pallets which I can’t play around, I don’t understand. Like what is the point of even playing killer is this is how I’m rewarded. I get the worst killer map in the game, get insulted for playing a barely C tier killer with literally her best add ons (which still aren’t good) and then what I’m supposed to keep playing? Like it’s fun? Maybe I’ll pick up ghoul and just play meta, so I never have to lose or get a bad map again. Would that be more fun?

Or maybe, better yet, I play Krasue, full meta, tunnel and then see how they like it? And if they DC? You wanted this no? Why punish killers for just playing the game, especially if they get a bad killer on a worse map and YOU KNOW IT! Next time a survivor says I’m trash for tunneling, I’ll tunnel harder the next game. If survivors are so intent on being indignant little children who treat others like they’re garbage, maybe I’ll reciprocate and show them how it feels to be treated poorly.

A bad trend I've seen in BHVR's recent balancing decisions is that they seem to balance Killer almost exclusively around top-tiers. When Killer is struggling, they don't usually buff Killer's basekit or perks- they buff the new Killer's power. Survivor's perks and basekit also seem to be largely designed to match the power of top-tiers, rather than Killers whose powers aren't insane.

The gap between low-tiers and top-tiers feels wider than it's been in years, and if BHVR's balancing decisions are any indication, it's only gonna get worse from here. And that's bad news not just for Killer players, but Survivor players as well, mind you- if low-tiers aren't viable, you're gonna be seeing a LOT of Krasue, Ghoul, and Blight in the months to come.

We really need to start reining in the power of top-tier Killers and bringing the low-tiers up to par. Stop with the power creep and bring things back to a reasonable place.

And think twice before you teabag a low-mid tier Killer at the exit gates- that's where Blight/Ghoul/Krasue mains come from.

Just play whoever you enjoy. I play alot of what people refer to as "weaker" killers, but i literally play them because i enjoy them. It's not any deeper than that for me. It sounds like it was just this particular bad game that has tilted you, but I can tell you that everyone of us has bad games now and then. Gotta get in the habit of mentally just moving on once theyre over.

I play a killer because they are fun, that‘s how I choose my mains. I don‘t care whether they are strong or weak when they are fun and personally I like harder matches more where I have a challenge. That‘s the reason why I don‘t play nurse, because she is just free win all the time. It makes her boring.

Isn't there like a streamer with like a 60 win streak on trapper.. the dude definitely has a higher MMR than you, which means he's getting even sweatier players and is still performing incredibly well with universally considered one of the weakest killers.

Now I mostly play survivor. I'll admit that. And I also will admit that I will never really play in high levels of this game. I don't wish to hone that skill. I don't wish to do the research the knowledge checks..

For me that means every 10 trials I enter I die in seven of them. For killers, once you reach your peak, it means you're killing two to three people each game and there's going to be games where you kill zero or even one.

Finally once you get into a good MMR spot this is what I do. I just stopped going for four kills. I'll multi-hook everybody kill two off. Get the other two on death hook, capture them and then let him go in my mind. I won and now my Mr. Will stay exactly where it is

The game has 40(?) killers now, why constrain yourself to playing only five of them? It's a game, not the Olympics.

Why would you play anything other than the best rated video games? Because playing something different is fun. That's why you play more than one Soulslike, more than one Metroidvania, more than one puzzle game. Not because you can't decide which of them is the best, but because you like variety.

Had a situation that made me not want to play hag anymore. I was in a hallway trying to get a couple people with flashlights off a generator that was almost done. In the asylum map. The 2 survivors were on either side of me at a distance, if i chase the one of the left, the one on the right comes and repairs the generator. If i chase the one on the right, then the one on the left comes and repairs the generator. If i place a trap down and then chase either one, the other will just wipe it and do the gen because they can both see me placing traps. So the only other option is just spam traps there etc. But after all this time the other 2 are doing all the gens elsewhere. So i cant even protect one generator as hag, if its a coordinated swf, and im forced to just go chase one of them (with windows of opportunity in the asylum and tons of windows). Didnt really feel like playing hag anymore. Not saying i main them or anything i just like m1 killers as they feel more basic and "fair". But nowadays most m1 killers i end up feeling miserable on. Switch to Rize and first 3 minutes ive got 3 people on hooks at once and half of em are dcing lol it really is too big of a gap.

I wish I could play ghost face for vibes or trickster for the outfits but I just cannot deal with the abuse in the round and in the end game chat it’s not fun at all getting t bagged and blinded constantly knowing you can just play an easier killer
