Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Nobody plays Krasue?

I played yesterday and only encountered the usual: Huntress, Ghoul, Animatronic, even a Dracula, but not a single Krasue. Why?

I played her and she is fun, he has a moderately complex but not difficult to understand mechanic, and is pretty in the upper tier.

Are people too put off by her visceral appearance, or am I completely misjudging how good or bad she is?

I’ve been playing her non stop I love her design and power and my kill rates have been fine based on survivor looping ability usually 2k-4k she feels balanced and healthy

Maybe people are just getting shards for her or smth.

Or you may just be lucky.

She is boring to play. What’s the point of learning infection projectile with auto aim when u have unknown where u actually can experiment with it? What’s the point of switching forms when Dracula’s or Lich’s power provide more interesting gameplay? What the point of her dashes when some Wesker or Chucky has more variable one?

She has so much from different killers and so little at the same time.

People playing her for her strength mainly, or they really obsessed with her design. She can be fun first few hours, at least I felt like this, after this returned to my main

The irony is that all those killers you mentioned are a rare sight too, even Wesker who was everywhere for months after he came out.

Because people play today for cheese and chill. Both sides. Anyway, I’m just playing my phead and that’s all. Can’t talk for others tho. When I played yesterday as survivor saw some Demo, Dredges, Dracula. That was more exciting

  • Yeah the thing is even if they do remove the auto-aim you're essentially just playing a killer whose gameplay loop is "I have to hit a projectile that bounces off of walls as a shotgun blast for some reason (even though directs infect too) to use my real power". And her real power isn't something that's truly unique or anything by any means, it's just incredibly oppressive right now. So if they do get rid of the auto-aim (forcing you to rely on shoddy map geometry or just go for directs for consistency) and reduce the effectiveness of her head form at the same time, I don't see anyone playing her given how frustrating it would inevitably be to deal with bouncing projectile geometry issues just so you can play what would probably end up being something that's analogous with other designs that don't have to do that.

Wish there was more interplay between head & body form (that fungus spawns are tied to switching between forms is…really silly) but it is what it is.

The primary reason id say is shes currently getting the kaneneki treatement where most of the community alredy hates the killer for its power level and balance problems. So people might be avoiding her thinking everyone is playing her since shes new and very strong etc.

Atleast that was my personal reason for not playing Rize often and now her, as i really enjoyed playing her even if i was losing and was looking forword to playing her as i had no idea she was alredy getting hate for her strength since ptb. Now that i know shes not that common i might give her another try.

Ive been playing her, but i think People are just waiting for the nerf thats 100% coming soon (deserved)

I played her for one match last night, and I ended up getting flamed so bad in the end-game chat for just playing her.
I ran a pretty meme-worthy build too, where I played around Undetectable and Oblivious. No tunnel, no camp, no excessive slugging. I don't want to abuse the "zero counterplay" build.

Hell, even two of the survivors got out (the map was RPD West), but that wasn't enough.

She is not fun for me enough, just got all her achivements in like 6 games and thats it. Another fact I dont play her is they will massively nerf her so I dont want to waste time learning this killer which will get nerfed hard and will be played compleatly different from current version we have now.

Hopefully people have realised from the DCs or decided themselves she's grossly overpowered and isn't fun for anyone. I did.

She's OP af I don't know why you're not encountering more

Thats exactly why people aren't encountering her anymore. She's strong to the point of games being boring because its too easy to win.

    Abbzy Member Posts: 2,276

Thats not whole truth, she isnt fun to play as for me. Nurse is stronger and more fun to play as and against, blight is on same power level if the blight is good with flicks and dashes and he is more fun to go against than her, ghoul is more fun to go against than her because he plays more as m1 on loops than she does whole game. All you do is infect, the more is better and then switch to head to get pretty fast downs or move around the map. All I like on her is her machate animation and sounds.

  • bingbongboi90
    bingbongboi90 Member Posts: 601

Yeah its just infect with an auto aim range attack to then switch the head mode to win immidiately the chase with practically no counter play.

And that is everything about krasue to get an disgusting win rate specially with bamboozle or dissolution. Just the same gameplay loop... every single chase. The lack of counterplay really shows that.

She is so broken you dont get any dopamine when you get hit unlike when you play for example huntress and wesker. Which means people find the killer boring.

  • Abbzy
    Abbzy Member Posts: 2,276

Huntress and wesker are well balanced and have rich counterplay with big depth in skill, they are on stronger side from killers but in my opinion thats where most killers should aim. Krauser is as you said bad counterplay with nothing very skillfull like hitting sick bound as wesker or shot with huntress.

Yeah yesterday I hoped on hoping to face some more so i could improve but it was blight, ghoul, billy and wesker the usual suspects lol

Did see a pinhead thought which is rare to see these days.

Is this a joke? i have gotten 90% krasue players. I'm already sick of her and her ugly head form.

  • runningguy
    runningguy Member Posts: 980

if people are finding less krasue players it might be due to the mass of players that go next or dc forcing players to play a different killer if they want a match. last night people were even saying in the lobby " if its new killer im going next". seems many krasue players are stuggling to find people to play a watch with.

no one wants to go against a broken killer thats primed for tunneling, 0 cooldown and killers abusing the auto aim. they literally run around spamming the attack so it hit a wall and bounces to home in on a survivor near by, no need to aim, no need to even find a survivor, just spam and wait for the attack to do it for you.

I haven't tried her yet, however due to the state she's in, i'll wait with playing as her until she's balanced out more.

I was playing M1 Krasue, it's all DCs, teabags, and ggez. So I stopped at the 5 games needed for the chapter quest.

I got her for the perks for now. She will be nerfed also so no reason learning her now when they will take away from her later. Better to wait for the "real" version of Krasue later on then I will try her out. Perhaps others feel the same and don't play her.

I was kind of avoiding her myself since I didn't want to add to the assumed long chain of frustrating Krasue matches my survivor opponents would have faced. Then I played some survivor over an evening and realized - not many people seem to be playing her. Over a night of matches I saw her maybe a couple of times. Given this, I played a string of matches on her to knock out the chapter quests + a little extra.

I'm honestly not sure where I stand on her. I've had interactions where she seems to intestinal whip her way around a corner to hit me. I've also played as her and have never once had something like that happen so I have no idea how they pulled it off.

I've had matches where the survivors seem to be coordinated and I only ended up with 1 sacrifice. Others, were pretty smooth 4Ks at ~2-3 gens. I do handicap myself a bit so that could also be why my experience with her isn't quite the steamroll others seem to describe - I don't kill survivors early, I don't camp or tunnel unless the exit gates are powered, and generally play in a way that I feel wouldn't frustrate me if I were on the receiving end. I could also just still be learning her I guess.

She probably has the biggest gap between what it feels like to go against her versus playing as her of any killer I've played in this game.

People are nicer to me when I play Nurse lol, the usual toxicity in this game reaches a fever pitch when I play her.

A Krasue really trying to win is near possible to beat unless the Survivor team is going full meta hard gen rush sweat... it's otherwise boring to play her cause its so easy.

In your average lobby. She has to play very very nicely for Survivors to have even a shred of a chance. She is very easy to play and yet is incredibly strong, all the strength of Blight, with none of the skill requirements.

    • Infection is really easy, big AoE, auto aim.
    • No slowdown or recovery on spit, non existent cooldown so even dodging it isn't rewarded.
    • Can m1 or transition immediately after infection so a Survivor can't even have a second to react base on if they get infected or not.
    • Is 4.8 in head form, just straight BL1 for free combined with a Scamper... which Chucky can't have at 4.4 apparently.
    • Long lunge that can hug tech with a huge hitbox that can't be juked.
    • Insane Map Mobility that is also hard to see her coming.
    • Eating fungus has a significant slow, even if you pull it off, infection lingers on you for do long Krasue is hitting you long before you can cleanse it.

She is incredibly turn your brain off easy, there was no care at all buffing her from the PTB. I don't like to rag on BHVR, but this looks a lot like blatant buff yo the moon to sell.

Maybe the reason is because Krasue is already in a higher mmr?

I rarely see Nurses and Blights while other encounter them a lot. I also don't met the new killer, yet

I got her adept first try, played her a handful more times and haven’t played her since launch. Just like i did with ghoul. Killers who are brain dead aren’t fun for me. I rather lose and have fun engaging chases with the possibility of getting outplayed than have free wins like you can get right now with krasue.

Instead of playing her, I’ve decided to learn xenomorph because alien earth was so good. I’ve been enjoying learning how the tail hitbox works.

I believe people just need to play against her differently from what they are used to. It was the same for Huntress when she came out, everyone was "a RANGED killer?" and whining all day about how unfair that is. Now she is considered one of the most fun and balanced killers and leader of any #played statistics.

I have no idea. If I had, I would make Youtube videos about my matches.

But people complained about Huntress, and now they are fine. People complained about Bubba, and now they are fine. They even complained about Pig. Players always complain when a new killer enters the stage that needs a new playstyle to go up against.

If it's true that you've seen very few Krasue's, it will be because:

    Untitled Image

Nah seriously though, winning with her proves nothing, takes about as much effort eating a jaffa cake while visiting your Gran. This killer is straight K/D padding for anyone trying to defend how strong she is. 😏

I've seen like 3 Krasue's who weren't going balls to the wall hard, and actually tried to make a game of it. One of them even let us all go after smashing us with 3 gens left, while being the nicest killer you possibly could be. The rest seem to have severe inadequacy issues. 😅

  • PetTheDoggo
    PetTheDoggo Member Posts: 1,998

It's not like those killers are exactly same as when they were released, they didn't get fixed simply by time. Especially Pig…

For some issues, there simply doesn't exist new playstyle.

Cant really run from her as her head form catches up too quickly. Just have to stay at loops i guess?

  • Milkymalk
    Milkymalk Member Posts: 264

Her head dash has a charge bar so it's not infinitely usable and after stopping she has a delay before she can act normally.

Survivors just don't even try. I was playing her the other day and used exclusively M1 on Pale Rose, got a 3k and was raged on from the survivors afterwards for playing her. Never transformed, never spewed.

(here's another post for you all to mass downvote)
