Linked Images Should Need To Be Approved Before a Post is Public
Idk if anyone else just saw what some first time user posted, but that is uncalled for, disgusting and shouldn't be allowed to even be publicly seen on forums. Fix it fast please.

Yes make the user experience worse because some one broke the rules. Terrible mentality.
-20 -
U realize if they could do that, anyone can just spam new accounts and spread these horrible images right? Whatever is being linked in your post should require approval from a forums manager.
13 -
Who cares? Why should a few bad apples ruin a whole system for people using it correctly
-14 -
Because if you haven't realized, THERE CAN BE ALOT OF BAD APPLES!!! Anyone can just come on here and unload a rage rant with horrible images to follow. The fact that DBD Forums lacks this security is insane for modern public communication standards. And it doesn't ruin posting at all, theres community managers hovering on forums all the time, they can easily just scim and scan your images and approve the post quickly. Its really not that deep if your release is slightly delayed.
The fact that you're even defending what that person just posted is insane bro. Thats disgusting, you and that person are sick in the head

True, and there should definitely be some checks in place when it comes to image sharing.
Those images were absolutely horrid and grotesque, and has no place on these forums, or anywhere to be fair.8 -
The fact that post has been up for so long, I think we would need this as well.
4 -
If anything, this shows the mods aren't around that much. This is two hours and counting on that post. They'd need more mods to have more restrictions.
5 -
I didnt see it but we had an issue here in the past where someone was posting gore. It went on for way too long. I'm sure they have some sort of setting where new members maybe need to await approval for posting images?
4 -
this was pretty much the same kind of images.
I definitely think that new accounts at least should not be able to post images without approval or at the very least, a setting preventing doing so during unmanned hours.
8 -
Yeah these potential burner accounts should be verified before being able to post.
11 -
You never know if someone is going to decide to be indecent one day they want to post
-3 -
No. They might as well just remove the ability to post images - keeping up with approvals would either require someone be dedicated to monitoring the forums 24/7 or just create a situation where posts with images simply don't exist for extended periods of time while the system waits for someone to get to it.
The fact that this behavior has been possible since the beginning of these forums and has only very rarely been an actual problem tells me it's not a big enough or widespread enough issue to dedicate resources to correcting. Sometimes people are going to behave grossly. It sucks but you don't break everyone else's experience just because one day someone decides to act like a jerk.
-5 -
Three hours in, and it is still there 🤨
0 -
Then they need one of us night weirdos as mods. I generally see the banhammer fall around 4am EST. That's four hours from now.
1 -
True, but there should be a mod from every time zone at least. At least 1 person should be monitoring forums
1 -
I seem to recall that accounts had to earn the right to post images. Was that a different forum then?
2 -
It's been up for six hours now...
2 -
Hey, everyone, thank you for reporting the issue and I feel sorry for anyone who had to see those pictures.
We have filters in place for this kind of issues and I'm sure they will be strengthen again in the next few hours due to this incident.
Once again, I apologize on the behalf of the entire team for what happened.15 -
Are we back to the gore posting days of the forum?
8 -
The best solution would be for the mods to require a waiting period or certain number of upvotes before people can create threads. I remember one of the mods saying specifically that they won’t do this, so if they’re not willing to do it then there’s nothing to prevent it. I will say though that the rage posts from brand new accounts seem to be a lot more rare than they used to be.
1 -
Someone wrote a post complaining about the update but also put disgusting pictures in the same post. You're better off not seeing them. The author of that post must have some illness for having such images
10 -
Average affair for the internet, but yeah, definitely not something I'd like to wake up to again. These are going to be grown adults someday, if they aren't already, gore posting over a game is one of the more pathetic things a person can do.
7 -
Should be a new system rule. Account is required to have X number of posts. Forum post or comments of a least 'triple digit' number before allowed to even post pics or links unless its a approved DBD reply or w/e.

i was lurking the forums yesterday and clicked on that post and those images are legit burned into my mind. i only stayed on it long enough to flag it but it was so disgusting. second time I've seen a post on the forums with repulsive imagery and gore. i don't understand what people get out of doing things like that. back to being incredibly cautious with what posts i click on i guess.
4 -
I didnt see these images but this is the 3rd time this has happened…
1 -
Fully agree, but mods in the past have said they are not willing to do this. It’s very frustrating that they won’t do what is needed to actually fix the problem.
1 -
I do hope that whoever of the mods had to deal with that is doing okay.
Can’t be easy on you guys either.
2 -
Whoever posted those images has some serious mental illness. Its not just the fact that he posted it to troll people, but if those are the images that he's looking when surfing the net, he need serious psychological evaluation.
Couldn't believe it at first, thought is this AI? but after seeing the rest of the pics, it was disgusting.
3 -
That wouldn't be a bad idea. It introduces the issue of spam, but that seems to be under control as is. The real question is if the forum code will allow for that.

Im not ginna describe it, but someone had some extremely vulgar, gory and disgusting words and pictures to share, all because the game is quote "killer sided"
0 -
its just the same one guy that's been at it for years, is it not?
typical salty dbd player got banned and had a tantrum but I've been seeing these "unknown" posts forever. like, it keeps getting caught by the mods but dude just won't get a life? that's some psycho stuff
must suck to have the mods and this forum live rent free in one's head.
2 -
Wait what did I miss? 😭
0 -
Let's just say that there was imagery of dismemberment involved, along with racial slurs, calling out names, and looking like the works of a psycho. The OP also inclined that his steam account had been banned, which is likely due to being caught cheating, in which he blamed the forum mods for.
Not gonna go into any detail here, other than what I mentioned.2 -
A disgusting post. Thankfully it's been taken down for awhile now, though it was up for hours this morning EST
1 -
A thread with a bait title and 3 shock images. Two were gore, one was icky. Nothing anyone hasn't seen if they've been online for a while, but still very unpleasant.
3 -
This is the third gore incident that I remember on the forums. Why people just can’t have an ounce of human decency is beyond me.
6 -
So many people in this thread willing to throw rights away for "artificial" safety is crazy. @MDRSAN literally had the highest quality post in this whole thread and gets down votes.
-7 -
On any other forum, I might be more angry. But I feel like between the chat filter and how focused conversations tend to be on here, I'm not torn up about the idea of limiting image posting behind a first 50 posts counter.
3 -
If that means people cant make bot accounts and post gore or other illegal materials to the forums, BHVR can take my "rights" away
8 -
I mean as pointless as your point is.. behavior can just delete the whole forums? What are you getting at.
If your point is to remove features for good people because bad people exist. Why do we do anything or even leave the house on a daily basis? You can get Tboned in a car anytime you drive or a mugger can take things to far while your involved. Should we mandate stay at home orders? Vet people walking into the store?
I get I'm being dramatic here but where does the line stop for you to be safe? When a truly dedicated person can just bypass them and you have given up something for nothing.
-3 -
Trust me, I get your argument entirely and I do agree. I post lots of places and see badmin behavior constantly. It's just equal parts not caring that much here and knowing that the DBD community can barely handle free speech (in my opinion), so these sorts of things happen inevitably.

The heck did they post?
1 -
Vulgar, disrespectful, racist, pop corn and gore. Images and Text alike. Truly disappointing that people like this exist.
2 -
Bro. I thought this was a game forum, not 4Chan.
2 -
am i the only one that just doesnt get offended by what random people say or post on the internet? people are not pleasant creatures, we all know this….or should know this.
-2 -
I mean, I don't get offended by crap, but sites have rules you need to follow. If you want to post images like what I've been told, go to 4Chan, Reddit or Twitter or something.
5 -
So did I man
1 -
break the rules and get banned. not sure what more can be done other than someone passing everything before its posted, images, text the lot which then we start getting into a police state where every little thing has to be approved. these forums are pretty ban happy as it is, you dont even need to do anything to get banned on here.
-1 -
Two gore images and a scat collection plus a bunch of slurs.
I'm pretty numb to the sort of thing that was posted. The internet isn't new and neither am I. But what rights? It's a forum, not a town hall or a public square. They can have whatever rules they want.
5 -
Oh no, I can't loudly proclaim my perceived superiority to some minority group without being politely told to leave the game forum.
This is literally 1984.
