Are Compromised Generators Supposed To Be Visible To Survivors? Is This A Bug?
For as long as Machine Learning and Help Wanted have been out, whenever a survivor witnesses a gen kick or a generator that was kicked comes into their line of sight, the swirling fog effect caused by these perks is revealed to them. Personally from my experience, people have completely avoided completing these gens and opted into doing seperate gens, because they know it'll benefit me by a lot if they pop the Compromised gen. Its a pretty stupid feature if it is intended anyway, so can we just remove/fix it?

I've stopped reading patch notes/killer perks since the Skull Merchant (so thats… 33 killer perks?), and I no longer care to evaluate the end game screen after each trial.
This is one of those design decisions that disproportionately effects casual players. I have no idea how popular these perks are, but I never knew "compromised gens" were a thing—not something I've encountered or has been adequately communicated in-game (beyond asking me to memorize the game's almost 300 perks).
If BHVR wants to make strong perks around "compromised gens" (akin to Hexes), they should improve how these gens/effects are communicated to players. If these perks are going to be average strength, then I don't see why Survivors should be made aware of their activation (beyond observable, deducible changes to the game-state).1 -
If asking on question - supposed to, because every visual effect in this game shared on screen of everyone around, since they related to environment and not UI of the characters.
Logically - their effect is so small I don't think survivors even need to know about these perks.
