Is BHVR trying to self-sabotage?
What is going on lately with their past and current updates? Where is the promised quality of life? You promised to do that this year but there is not a single QoL from my recollection.
The rift pass is absolutely awful too. Look how they massacred the Dredge ghost skin. The free pass barely has anything other than bloodpoints and maybe 3 skins. And why is it taking so long now to unlock all the rift items anyway? I couldn't finish the last rift pass on time which was never a problem with the other rift passes in the past so what gives? Are you trying to artificially inflate the player numbers by retaining them with FOMO stuff through reducing the amount of rift xp we get? Pretty silly if you ask me.
Why did they gut Michael Myers with this piss poor rework they made for him?
So many questions and no answers.
I'm not even going to do the new rift because I have deleted this game and now I'm wasting my time sharing my frustation knowing it won't be read by the devs anyway.

Also adding more pallets to every map isn't a QoL. It straight up killed every M1 killer in the game. This game is a joke!

I mean we did get quality of life to be fair. Abandon option, bulk bloodpoint spending, mouse and keyboard on console. But they haven't delivered on "bug fixes for long standing issues" and the game has got worse on this front.
And yeah, about the cosmetics, idk whats going on, they are the worst they've ever been. Choosing some of the most unpopular characters for the halloween event rewards and a plain awful rift.10 -
This is a serious issue that needs to be addressed. More and more loyal players are actually stepping away from the game as time goes by with every update.

I dont even think they can actually deliver that unless they fully recode the game which they dont seem to be able to do.
allegedly, they're slowly recoding it on C++ or something like that, but so far it doesnt seem to yield visible results.

People are uninstalling or/and complaining
Content creators make X posts and videos about all the bad things and decisions

We really need some good things, releases, changes to keep going. We are getting flooded by negativity in this community.
Don't get me wrong, I am not satisfied with the game either - after 7 years being positive and somewhat happy about the game

I mean with the weird changes they've made lately, players has a rights to be negative about it, especially since they said TWO times that they hear our feedback and they're making a healthy changes. Well that's the problem: They don't.
Don't get me wrong, I also don't like negativity, but sometimes it's necessary to express the feelings about some changes that people don't like.

This game needs more stuff for casual players, more frequent events and modes. 2v8 is really fun for casual players but having to wait every 3 months just for that mode is ridiculous, way too long

There is only 1 of my friends playing DbD right now and he mains Ghostface. Guess what happened to his mori again?
Yes, the camera has disappeared again. The bug that they 'supposedly' fixed has magically returned.

I don't think anything will change no matter what we do. They already use this year for health update but nothing came from it.

That's why I spend much less time playing and not spending money for months now. Until im satisfied with the game again.

The devs should rapidly increase the amount of bug fixes going through and consider delaying and slowing newer content until the player base and flow of gameplay return to normal.
At the current rate things are going, the amount of short term profits BHVR is getting with half baked chapter releases like Krasue are being dwarfed by the amount of players who will likely put the game down and cease spending money on it.
In reality, we'll probably get the 1-2 thirds of the bugs fixed and nothing will change except the player base dwindles or stays stable based off of new chapters flashing big ips. I hate to say it, but this could be the end of my 9 years with the game, so soon after they added my all time biggest want in Springtrap no less. I hope things improve soon.

Isn't it kinda funny with whole Health patch thing going on and I would say this year we have seen some worst states of DBD in a long time?

Release of Walking Dead was pretty close in my opinion, especially because it affected everyone. It's a big issue if chase won't start…
Current and Last rifts are definetly one of worst in my opinion.
Krasue/Ghoul are at least on par or in my opinion worse than Skull merchant ever was.

You must be tweaking. You can't tell me with a straight face that the last couple of updates, especially the walking dead chapter, wasn't "that broken"?

I want to laugh but the constant disappointment from these devs made me more depressed than happy.
It's more like they volunteered to destroy their own just to focus on something else. They're probably tired after 9 years of the same game I guess.

2025 has really felt like this, hasn't it. Can't wait for the 10th anniversary to be a complete trainwreck.

I think with Skull Merchant having an outfit in both this and the Overgrowth Rift they're trying to encourage people to play as her. They could just improve her but, hey, this is easier.
There's also going to be torsos for Dwight, Vee, and Zarina, as well as weapons for Trickster, Krasue, and Oni. We'll see how those all look 👀

They shouldn't do that, i don't think anyone will be pleased when they try a new outfit for her and realise how unusable she is. I don't try or buy her new outfits because i know this already. I think it's wasteful of BHVR and its their fault she's this bad to begin with. Idk, until they can make her gameplay tolerable they shouldn't give her any cosmetics to be honest.
I wish sable and orela got a shirt but hopefully next year.0 -
Yup, that's what concerns me is that they made a big song and dance about how they are going to dial back on content for a bit so they can work on quality of life and health of the game but what have they really brough in of significance? I don't think you can even argue it's a lot of "under the hood" type of improvements since the same old issues seem to plague the game. Pun not intended.
I'm not a doomer and I hope the game continues on for many years but I really think they need to pull a rabbit out of the hat at this stage.
