Disconnect time penalty
Hey team! If I get tunnelled, slugged, face-camped, and hit on hook after not doing anything toxic I shouldn’t get a time penalty for disconnecting. How is it fair that I should have to sit through like 10 minutes straight every match of just being tunnelled out because I’m not that good at looping and don’t get the chance to improve since this happens every match. I would appreciate if you could do your job and fix this game! Thanks.

you get 2 free dc and then get small pens before it gets to 10min. i get tunneled and i dont get any pen so you must be doing something wrong

you didn’t even read my post properly. either way though can you explain how it would be MY fault that I get tunneled out by toxic killers nearly every single match (not an exaggeration by the way)

its your fault for DCing instead of countering it. if your going to DC whenever a killer does something you dont like its absolutely your fault and should get a pen.

can you run me through how to counter being tunnelled instead of making empty suggestions??

my counter is based on soloq because thats what i play.
- dont play altruistic
- the biggest way to counter being tunneled is to prevent it before it happens, play stealth and make sure your not the one the killer is tunneling first. when they tunnel someone else just knock out gens as fast as you can.
- if your being tunneled and get hooked, when your unhooked, lose line of sight or use the unhookers scratch marks to confuse the killer.
- it might sound obvious but practice looping. if the killer is tunneling a very good looper and others are doing gens the killer will lose a lot of gens by trying to tunnel out the strong looper so they will often abandon the chase to pick an easier target.
- take hatch offering. if you cant do all gens by the time the killer has tunneled out 3 survivors then go for hatch.

I feel like, by pressing the ready button, you're at the very least signing up for the possibility of that stuff happening. Neither killers nor survivors have any meaningful obligation to make the game fun for the other side, necessarily. As it stands, tunneling is (and I'm not saying I like that fact) a strategy that is employed.
Even though I doubt it happens every match for you as you said, maybe use the fact you're being tunneled as an opportunity to get better in chase and, who knows, maybe even have some fun with whatever it is you have left of the match. The killer giving you endurance by hitting you after you get unhooked isn't by far a valid reason to leave the 3 other survivors hanging. We all know DC bots are kinda hit or miss.

before i posted my original post i got hard tunnelled or slugged and face camped EIGHT matches straight. I don’t dc when i get hit off hook with endurance. i disconnected when i got downed for the third time with two hook states and all my other teammates had none. most of the games i get tunnelled in it happens at five or four gens by the way, so no reason to be doing all that.

That's a fair question. It's one that should have an answer, but all that anyone can say is "don't play". We were going to have better counter play for those scenarios, but who knows when that'll actually happen now.

You decided to ruin the game for four other people because of your own entitlement and did it often enough to get penalized even under the current extremely loose system.

Playing as a killer in tunnels or camps is one of the player's choices and is not something that should be penalized.
Disconnecting for selfish reasons unrelated to bugs, like you did, violates the game's rules and will be penalized.

Not that it would have mattered, because the person would have been dead anyway.
