So many horrible and unasked for changes with this event
Just to name some things that are bad this go around with the halloween event:
- Survivor event items and event offering wrong rarity
- survivor p100 bloodweb bugged again
- event offering is still personal…
- Void is stupidly killer sided
- they removed 90% of what made the void fun last year
- powers for both roles in the event are just boring
- BP nerfed across the board for this event (treat pumpkins used to give 2,000 BP now they only give 500)
- survivors are constantly screaming and becoming hindered in the void
There’s probably more than this but from what i gathered from two matches so far is this is a failed event already. really unfortunate because i was really looking forward to stocking up on halloween flashlights and having a good time during the event😔

yeah and i’m afraid they won’t fix the bug because it’s not a widespread community outcry like how it was during the anniversary event.

The other stuff about the bugs is reasonable, but ever since the event dropped the bonus has been on killer in my region, which is usually how I gauge which mode is most fun for which role and after playing a few survivor ones minus a few tunneling killers and bad randoms it's actually quite fun. I do wish there were more abilities though and the void is a bit lame, but I don't really think this event favors killers lol at least from my pov as the killer ability thing is a bit boring and not really that good.

This event is disappointing and feels so lackluster compared to last year. Did something happen internally at BHVR since last year that has decreased manpower or resources they're able to dedicate to events like this? Because over the past few events and chapter releases, it's felt noticeable from a player perspective. It literally feels like nobody cares about this stuff internally and it's just shipped out because it's obligatory.

This seems to be the sentiment all across the community. The recent content releases have been really poor in terms of quality and apparent effort. It’s almost as if they’re testing the community to see what is the bare minimum amount of resources to put into content to get people to buy it.

Even the Anniversary event was a flop. The exclusive Baermar outfit still hasn't been fixed. Maybe next year.

As far as I can tell it's sort of a glorified BNP. Haven't seen any gens pop with one.

2026 has gotta be BHVR's redemption arc. They have to bounce back or else its over, these 4 months of no content must be used wisely to plan out the new year.

Things would have to get better first. It's felt like a downward spiral for the last several years. I'm sure they'll come up with some neat ideas and do nothing with them, let systems erode and decay further, and kick up the monetization another notch. If anything does pan out, they'll find some way to undo whatever progress that makes. Which sounds super negative, but if there's anything I'm sure of, it's BHVR's penchant for broken promises and false starts. In my opinion.

Complaining about a game that I've paid money for, spent money on chapters and other DLC, invested thousands of hours in, and bought quite a lot of auric cells for… Yeah, you're god damn right I'm going to complain.
If the devs put out a dog sh*t product or event or chapter, we need to let them know about it. It's VERY CLEAR that they don't QA even a fraction of this stuff internally, just based on how buggy content is when it's pushed to live servers. If we don't let them know… how can they possibly make the content better?
I understand if you relish in some self-ascribed superiority because you enjoy suffering in silence or something… but that's not everybody. These boards are for feedback and for players to discuss the game. You're upset that players are doing that?

I think it would be neat if the fog crystals would fully do a gen as if there's a person on it but maybe at reduced speed and cause a beacon to show for the killer indicating that there's a fog crystal working on whatever gen it's on (like with maps but the killer can see it).
That way it's actually useful for something and opens up some different situational plays that aren't just more of the same you get in normal modes.

This event is not worth it for me as killer because the rewards are unenticing and as usual with these events, normal MMR is ignored so I just get sent against toxic uber sweats constantly.

I just want to know why everyone seems to be playing the event so freaking sweaty. It's like, sheesh, goof off and have fun for once, stop playing this like it's Monday Night Football.

Blame BHVR for that stupid "Get 15 hooks in the Void" quest. If you want to complete the event, you have to do ALL the quests and normal gameplay you just won't get 15 void hooks in a reasonable time frame, so… camping the Void it is.
