Tunneling Reduction Update
Unhook Protections Update

ℹ️Killer instinct was the one thing that couldn‘t be blocked and it should stay that way.

3 secondsafter being healed for a full health state. - ✅These effects are lost when performing a Conspicuous Action.
- ✅These effects are disabled when all generators are completed, except for the
HasteandEndurancestatus effects ⛔️and only last 10 seconds in endgame. - ✅The Survivor is still susceptible to attacks and powers.
Hook Status Update✅
- When a Survivor is hooked, the hook's status is obscured for the Killer:
- The Killer cannot see the hook's status in the HUD
- The Killer can no longer see the hook's aura
- When a Survivor is unhooked:
- There is no loud noise notification
- The hook's status in the HUD is revealed 10
secondslater
- These effects are disabled when all generators are completed.
Unique Hook Bonuses✅
- When hooking a Survivor that is different than the last hooked Survivor, the Killer gains the following effects:
20%bonus to the next damage generator action ("kicking" the generator)10% Hastefor15 seconds- Breaking a pallet, ⛔️starting chase⛔️ or damaging a Survivor removes this bonus.
ℹ️It gives mobility killers too much of an advantage compared to non mobility killers that can‘t utilize the haste in the same way.
- Reveal all Survivors outside of
40 metersthat have less than or equal hook states for4 seconds(think: basekit Barbecue & Chili) - These effects can only be gained when the Killer performs the hook interaction themselves.
- The following Killers have a different set of bonuses:
- The Blight, The Dark Lord, The Ghoul, The Hillbilly, The Krasue, and The Nurse
- They get:
10%bonus to the next damage generator action5% Hastefor10 seconds- The same aura reveal bonus as above
- These effects are disabled when all generators are completed.
Tunneling Penalties
- ✅When a Survivor dies to a hook action or Mori before 6 total hook states, the remaining Survivors gain a ⛔️1️⃣5️⃣
25%repair speed bonus.
ℹ️25% is a lot and should be tuned down a bit. If needed you can increase it later again. This is a good change because it gives the survivors a chance at winning and makes tunneling less effective.
- ❌When a Survivor that was previously hooked is Killed or Sacrificed, the Killer loses the ability to block, damage, or regress generators by any means.
ℹ️This is a terrible penalty. The killer should never be punished for doing what they are supposed to do. Aside from that it is way too harsh. No longer being able to regress gens basically means you have lost.
Slugging Reduction Update
Self-Recovery✅⛔️ Deactivates in endgame
ℹ️Good changes but in endgame it is too much since it puts the killer in a lose lose situation.
- While in the Dying State, the Resolve bar appears below the Recovery bar.
- The Resolve bar takes
90 secondsto fill. Progress does not reset between downs. - Once the Resolve bar is full, the Survivor gains the ability to pick themselves up from the Dying State after fully recovering.
Quality of Life Improvements
- ❌Survivors can now crawl and recover at the same time.
ℹ️Survivors should have to chose between staying at one place or recovering. Doing both is too strong basekit and is very annoying to deal with.
- ✅Recovery is now automatic and no longer requires a button to be held.
- ✅When full self-recovery is available, tap the Interact button to pick yourself up.
- ✅Crawling speed increases over time when left in the Dying State, from

What do you think about the new versions of these features?
I think they removed too much, yet the aura reveal that survivors get and that really seems like Object, was kept.

I‘m not a fan of the changes. The hidden hook aura and hook notifications were such important things as it causes the most tunneling and they should have kept the higher gen speed when someone dies too fast. The update while appreciated will not do anything against tunneling. It will still stay the best strategy for killer and most people are going to do it like before.

They do seem to be like that.
For the killers, there is now too little of an incentive to spread hooks.
Everything that was encouraging spreading hooks was removed. Only a very faint haste and some pity BP.

I really hope they add some of these things at a later point in time. It‘s probably fine that they aren‘t added all at once, but I doubt the next patch will significantly improve the tunneling situation.
The bloodpoint reward is funny. I don‘t think you can buy people that easily. As for the haste I‘m glad it will no longer help mobility in chase, but 5% is a bit meh.
