Is BHVR going to reduce the "Esoteric Hooks" on Part 4 like they did on Part 1 of the Event?
They reduced the "Hook 20 survivors on esoteric hooks" to "4".
Now Part 4 wants us to "Hook 40 survivors on esoteric hooks".
Is BHVR going to reduce this to "8"?
40 is a lot of just hanging out in the void and trying to farm to make that happen.

I believe an Esoteric hook is basically every hook on the map. I can't login to confirm, but that's how it was in previous versions, so you just need to hook 40 survivors in general in the event game mode, not in the void specifically.

I can confirm, I've not hooked a single person in the Void and it IS giving me credit towards the 40 on the regular map in the Haunted by Daylight "mode".

Precisely. The first part specifically said to hook survivors in the void itself.
Esoteric hooks are basically any regular hook on the map. - Can confirm, since I played one match of killer, and got 9/40 completed.3 -
Esoteric hooks are just hooks during the Halloween event. Its pretty easy, 4-5 matches and its done

Note this only applies in the event queue. You don't have to hook in the void, but make sure you're playing the halloween event instead of normal, even though the generators also get the weird machines in normal mode.
Also as far as I can tell the basement hooks do NOT count as esoteric hooks.
