Can you please rework Spine Chill already?
The perk went from great to unusably bad in a matter of one patch, can you please just rework it already? If you want to improve the new player experience giving them general perks that are not complete trash would be a good start.

Ngl I forgot Spine Chill was even a perk, that's how bad it is.
I'd increase the action speed bonus and make it linger for a lot more than 0.5 seconds, so it'd be a lot better but without bringing back what made the old version a problem

What we were asking back then was to just make it not work if the killer is Undetectable so it doesn't gut stealth killers who are already weak to begin with.

It's definitely a perk that is in desperate need of a new niche. It obviously can't go back to what it was before, but there are definitely directions it can go- I've had two in mind before.
The first is to lean into its current effect. Shorten the list of things it affects to just healing, unhooking, totem cleansing, and maybe exit gate opening, then crank the % number up, and shorten the range for it to affect. That would make it a "finish this action in the killer's face" perk, with the main action it doesn't affect being repair, because that would be busted.
The second is to give it a new niche entirely. Nix everything it currently does, and have it light up if your aura is being read, alongside a small thematic effect mostly so it scales with perk tiers like suppressing grunts of pain for a few seconds or something. Basically the aura-tracking of Object without revealing your own aura, purely information.
Whatever avenue they take, though, it definitely needs some changes.

I like the second idea, it would kinda be a dead perk slot tho if the Killer doesn't take an aura reading perk, so I think it should do something on top of that effect.

I don't think that's necessarily a problem, myself- the same is also true of Distortion, and that perk has ranged over the years from just decent to absurdly strong in its niche.
Getting super precise information on exactly when the killer can see you is a pretty strong effect, I think it can weather the risk of just not doing anything if a killer doesn't bring any auras.

It could use a complete rewamp.
I was thinking something along the lines of: when the killer sees your aura, it lights up, and as a secondary effect it could delay the killers aura reading, so it shows them where you were 2 seconds ago.

But changing the effect in that way still makes it a useless perk, you can already tell if a non-undetectable killer is coming towards you via the terror radius

I dont think this will cut it, the second version with showing killers distance from you was also busted in loops where you could just look at it and see if the killer is doing some mindgame or not because the perks showed you how far killer was even throught walls so not only undetecteable killers got robed but killers trying to pull mindgames at loops like shack or jungle gyms, TL walls with hiding red light and trying to go around got countered too.
First version was working with resilience which was just 50% weaker than finnes which has 30% faster vault so you got 15% every time you were injured and killer was looking at your direction which is normal in chase.

It didn't ever show distance other than the max distance to trigger. It didn't work for anti loop, not talking about the action buff anyway. You could fenagil some high brain catching if he's walking backwards stuff but now we're talking plays that 99.9% of people were not using.

Whether he was on one side of the loop or the other the perk isn't telling you his location since he could be looking at you from either spot.

Not always. There are many times it will get louder and he's not actually heading towards you, just getting closer.

I dont mean the looking part when spinechill lights up when killer looks at you but the fact that second version had build in mechanic that told you how far from you killer was by the red spot running on spinechill (same effect if you use sprintburst or lythe the same thing that shows you how much time you have left on your perk or ds countdown but on spinechill it didnt showed something is running up but that the killer is closer or further which made mindgames on shack and other structures harder and almost impossible against skilled loopers), we are talking about mindgames where killer runs around the loop and they most of times dont work against 4k hours survivors but they can sometimes catch someone off guard and that this perks made almost impossible with showing killer distance indicator.
You can clearly see that spine chill reacts on the distance of the killer when he moves further or closer which makes these bigger mindgames almost impossible.

Wouldn't this still activate Spine Chill? Regardless of whether or not the killer is actually headed specifically in your direction, Spine Chill would just be giving the same information

Finesse is here and its better than old combo in terms of speed and game health but if you want busted combinations from past I get it its fun but only for one side.

spine chill should at least be an information perk. currently you're better off just using premonition which i think also needs to be reworked. both of these perks are really bad when compared to something like kindred.
