Discouraging teabagging at exit gates.
Ok I get competitive games like this is going to have toxic behavior. It's normal but teabagging at the exit gate wasting yours and the killers time is kind of obnoxious. I think like just in the vicinity of the exit gate if the killer hits you it should block the exit gates for 2 seconds. It might be a way to discourage the behavior. Thoughts? I personally think it could be a positive thing for the game.

The exit gate area should have, like, a mini "conveyor belt" effect. If you run towards the exit, nothing happens, but the minute you stop (e.g. in order to teabag) it pushes you back into the arena.

Doesn’t this just make it harder to escape?
If you’re healthy but the killer is in front of you, or the killer is faster than you with not enough distance, you now can never leave. The killer just follows you, or whoever blocks for you, and waits to hit until you’re in the gate. You can heal tech, but then the heal tech performer just dies instead.
Doesn’t seem like an effective solution. A more effective one is allowing the killer to abandon when EGC starts, granting all survivors any achievement/challenge they could have gotten that relies on EGC starting.

That makes no sense. They could just teabag, leave and not give a hit.
The abandon-suggestion sounds ok.

Honestly? I really don't care. Communication complaints should be the least of the concerns with where the game is at right now. No offense.

I doubt they will spend the time, resources, and bandwidth to address an issue that can simply be mitigated by chasing them out. I still have agency in that situation and I use it.

as annoying as i can be in my matches, thats 1 thing i never do. i never tbag at the gate, when the gate is open, im outta there. i just dont get any fun from wasting my time tbagging by the gate. i had my fun in the match, i escape, time to have fun in the next one, not wait like 2min hoping the killer come to chase me out so i can crouch before i leave…thats a strange thing to do

I agree with this. Killers should have an abandon feature when they know the games lost. I just dont go to the exit gates when i know the games lost.

Once the gates open I'm headed to the basement to tab out.

Have it be like the anti-face camping mechanic. For each survivor not in the dying state in the exit gate area, speed up EGC.

At this point it is just funny to me how often this complaint comes up and is simply dismissed.
Me among others have made this point for several years now and there won't ever be anything done to mitigate it. Just the usual "don't be a b*", "just push them out", "This not the same as XYZ".

I'm with Unicorn here, it's the least of this games issues rn. it's no different to being bmed when downed as survivor, it's just par for the course. Plus what about survivors who tea bag to say hello or dance with other survivors that they managed to succeed etc.
We don't have emotes, this is the best we have, lets not limit that expression even further.-1 -
I don't like this idea only due to the fact the killer can do similar things to the survivors when Killers are winning (eg humping after they have downed you) if you just run up and start slapping they will run out or go down and leave.
sometimes as well the survivors may be doing it statically to bait and let the last teammate get the other door.3 -
Of all the problems in the game, this isn't one that needs attention.

This problem has been around for years. The end game collapse has started and the killer goes everywhere on the map BUT the exit gates because he doesn't want to participate in the toxic ritual of some mentally sick survivors. Both parties twiddle their thumbs for 2 minutes, the killer refuses to go to the exit gates, the survivors refuse to leave the map but it's all fine, this is not something that needs to be fixed at all!
I had a proposal in 2024 to solve this dumb time wasting tug-of-war and the gist of it was that the killer should have the option to collapse the trial instantly once EGC has started but today I would say the killer should be able to simply abandon the match at that point without any penalty.

If a survivor is going to teabag the killer, no amount of changes will stop them.
If somebody felt agrieved by this, the best they could do is report it as unsportsmanlike with video evidence. However, that button is basically a joke for the most part anyway, and people would be reporting it in so many ways that legitimate complaints may get lost. BHVR do not have a sophisticated enough report system to deal with this. They delayed a chapter as requested by some to work on the health and completely fudged that also.
It's not these actions which are the most bothersome anyway. It's a bit like a protagonist yelling abuse at the slasher in a movie. Where bad sportsmanship ought to be picked up on is chat during, before or end of game.
However – as an aside – a meme perk which does make it so survivors crouching within the Exit Gates blocks them could be a fun idea. It wouldn't be that well-used, but may add some more hilarity for the "just leave" videos. I'd be for that; a bit like the end of those movies where it seems all has gone well, but the killer gets you at the end.

I'd personally like an end game perk that's similar to Alucard's Shield (Dracula Add-on), except instead of continuously spawning pillars of fire in the exit gates, it would spawn entity claws with a chance to injure any Survivors that want to stick around to teabag. I would honestly run that perk on every Killer I enjoy playing but I'm very bad with.

I don’t want to come off as rude or anything, but I honestly don’t understand why people get offended by pixels moving up and down. If you’re playing killer, just run around, break some leftover pallets or walls, practice your power or tab out and watch a video for a couple of minutes.

Because killers have put a lot of hours into this game to get good and for somebody to teabag is very insulting. I play both roles too btw.

This being the most common complaint killers have, will never not be funny.

So many things on this thread has made me laugh it’s unreal. I’ve been playing since 2018 and I can honestly say, from both sides is hilarious.
For starters, “t-bagging” is used to communicate through players in game, whether that be to another survivor or to a killer. This doesn’t necessarily mean “every t-bag emote” is being used as a haha moment.
Second, no matter what side you’re playing on, there has always been issues with the “t-bag” feature & humping feature (especially when Dracula came out). This is something BHVR has purposely ignored due to the fact that there’s literally no way to determine if you’re doing it to be toxic or just doing it to play around with each other.
End of the day, it’s a game. When the timer is started and you’re upset about getting t-bagged or vice versa, humped there’s nothing stopping you from turning away and not watching til the match ends. People get so lost in the game (understandably so) that it’s difficult to deal with it, but it’s not like it’s forever.
And I very much agree with the comments stating out of all the issues in the game, you really chose this to complain about. I mean truly, this is literally the LEAST of the problems with the game for both survivors & killers right now.-1 -
It's funny that the same people who religiously defend teabagging also cry endlessly about slugging.
-3 -
That's why I run the exit gate fire pillars on Drac, nobody is going to dare. Honestly though if I can see the survivors in the exit gate just waiting, I just ignore them because I know it's what they want. My first match as legion was against a bully squad. I was just watching the last two survivors waiting until one came out to find me just to try and flashlight spam me and the timer ran out on him. Some people would honestly rather be toxic than win, oh well it's a win win I suppose.

This can be prevented by not going to the gate. This can also end quickly by pushing them out the gate.
-1 -
Exactly lmao

I understand some people get hurt with teabbaging at exit gates but i feel this is more something you need to learn how to deal emotionally with it than an issue with the game. If people couldn't teabagg at exit gates, probably they will 99% the gates and then spam loud noise notifications near the exit, as they already do with the hatch. People BM for no reason in this game and there is probably no possible fix for this, just finding personal way to "cope" with this type of situations.

What if I'm not teabagging and I'm just running for the exit and you hit me? Why should I be punished for that? It would be like wanting to punish the killer for humping... besides, there are plenty of addons that block the exit if you stay, so I don't see the need for that. I think you just have to learn to overcome this, not be so sensitive, and run them off with hits or your power, which, by the way, give you points...
1 -
There are already so sensitive and fragile people in this game that many times you crouch as a survivor for a reason (I do it in some loops, to have better vision and sometimes the killer sees me) and they immediately think: HE'S TEABAGING ME!
As a killer, I don't usually look down to pick up a survivor; I'm looking straight ahead to see what's happening around me. I move based on the sound of the survivor, and sometimes that makes me move more than I should. Survivor immediately in post chat: "YOU WERE HUMPING ME!". It's hilarious 🤣
-1 -
I agree. I've said this for awhile but they should make it to where when you lose a health state in the exit gate the Entity blocks it for 3 - 4 seconds similar to Pinheads chain/Weskers grab but it works on every Killer. It'd be a start. People would start to mess around less as being hit by anything blocks the exit for that person and another hit would reset the gate block. That'll teach em. They'll have to start leaving before you even get close to them. No more point to knock them out and wasting the killers time.
-2 -
That's gonna be just as ineffective though, as people will just keep ever so slightly out of the exit gate area to not trigger it and still be completely safe.
IMO, killers should just have an abandon option once EGC starts.

This is one of the funniest discussions for me even with friends.
On Friday I had a funny discussion about slugging and tbagging with a friend of mine. He was very angry that the killer left him to bleed out on the ground for 4 Minutes. "Dude don´t waste my time" "He is toxic" and so on.
Next game I got sacrificed and my friend and a random stand at the exit gate and tbag with the Killer not near themwhile the Killer had a sable slugged in the basement (yeah i am not kidding).
So both games wasted 4 Minutes for my friend, since he could have left the game and go to the next with me.
Thats why I don´t take the time argument serious in many situations because both sides. Survivor and Killer love to waste them just to try to be toxic.
I think it was a good idea to make the exit area not as safe as it was before, since Killers like Wesker or Ghoul don´t let you escape when they hit you in the are.
So I was thinking what you can do to make it potential dangerous to stay there.
I had some Ideas. Maybe give the killer "THIS IS A THEORETICAL CLAIM SO PLEASE DONT EAT ME ALIVE FOR IT." the ability to block the exit for a random amount of time if he hits you with an M1. So that if you are running out in a chase the timer will be over when you reach it but if you stay at the border he can pick you up.

Agree with you 100%, wanting to implement something similar to the perks that are already in the game is insane to me. 🤣🤦🏻♀️
