Witchhunting Discord Communities
After a match as killer in 2v8, some survivor told me my steam profile was listed on a discord group for whitchhunting because of me being a "tunneler". They said something like "Tunnel4Funnel".
Have I ever tunneled? Yes, obviously. But only when the match turns impossible to win by any cleaner way. I personally don't enjoy doing it, but sometimes I have to because, surprise… survivors we play against are super boosted and we, killers, like to win sometimes too.
Many other times I have been called tunneler when I did nothing close to it, just because I won. Many survivors are very sensitive nowaday.
In any case, I am not here to talk about why killers tunnel or not, but to mention about the existence of discord communities targeting killer players that doesn't bend in front of their exquisite survivor main petitions. I don't know much about this stuff, just that I recently got threatened about it, and it's not fun to know I am being witchhunted just because I try to win my matches. Dbd community should take a deep breath and meditate about what they are in the way to become, if not became already.

You would laugh how many discords exist because people don´t like some things.
Personally I know that there is a discord server by some dude which is mad at me because he couldn´t get my girlfriend to cheat with him so he trash talks there about me and so on.

Imagine how low you have to stoop to create a full-on witchhunt, just because an opponent played in a way you disliked.
No one likes being tunneled but god, can't these people get over it?

Like, what are they going to do besides look at your profile after the game and say yep, he's on the list.
I mean, maybe they'll tunnel you if you play survivor, but….

Doesn't surprise me, someone apparently made a video [featuring or specifically about, don't know which] one of the users on this forum, ridiculing them for their "survivor sided" opinions, which led to them getting a harassing message recently. People have been getting extra unhinged lately, on all sides
My recent theory is that the seeming uptick in ridiculous attitudes is a product of the FNAF chapter bringing in younger, less mature players who are also less used to the type of multiplayer game where you're expected to stay through a whole match, but I also admit I have no evidence for that and it's just vibes, so take that with a healthy pinch of salt

I wouldn't worry about what they said. It's unlikely that you're being tracked unless you're a notable member of the community. The odds are they just said that to try and freak you out.

There were several groups on Xbox back pre-crossplay who would just DDoS me if they got me in a lobby when I was Killer.
Got to the point where I couldn't even boot up my Xbox without them knocking me offline for hours.

That's funny because what does it even do? You can't even see the name of the killer before the game starts.
"YOU'RE ON THE LIST!!!! that does nothing. we'll just call you a tunneller at the end of the game, which we were probably going to do anyway regardless"
It all seems like a huge waste of energy.

You know, I often wonder how many lurkers are here. This place doesn't seem big enough for all that, there are only so many really active members. Yet I see it referenced a lot in the few other social media places I wander into.

He doesnt need to care unless he is targeted by cheaters or he is on their list like the 7cmPwincess was, Hens has video about that, then you cant play because you get your games destroyed by cheaters.

Probably, it's a thing that happens. There was a pretty infamous community in TF2 a few years ago that had their own website that they would regularly update as a 'blacklist' of sorts. If you slighted them in some way they'd put your name down and the reason why they didn't like you so the next time you'd try to lobby up in Man vs Machine they'd just kick you instantly if a member was present. It's pretty silly stuff.

Okay and what is this supposed to threat you with? I assume they will play extra sweaty, but I really don't think the people there will target all listed killers at all times - also I don't believe that they are enough for you to care about xD

So, you think someone would use how many burner accounts to target each of those people on the list, most likely not popular, just to screw over their games.

Depends how much of ego they have and how did you get their nerve but mostly they go after some popular streamers or content creators than randoms but still they can get into your lobby and subbtle cheat and you will never know they just did gen 20 seconds faster or speed hacked while no one saw them especialy if they will play with friends that dont cheat than its super rare to spot this as killers if they are cautiuos. Cheaters dont need to fly and instapick themselfs or other survivors to mess your games.
I have seen some suspicious swf once they claimed they werent swf but two had each other in friends and one guy used speed hack around corner, not huge chunk of distance but still was sus and all defended him.
I mean all the info cheater gets before game even starts is huge and with swf that wants to win its gg and then some small boost in game like few % gen speed or heal speed and killer can sweat his cheeks to even get kill, I know its rare but it can happen if cheater is smart he can be with his account very long time in game before he gets ban. Just look at Hens video about cheaters and you would be surprised what all they can know and influence.

Tbh from my own experience the overall mood in the community definitely got worse with the FNAF release. So I would second this theory. Especially the throwing of games got way worse since then. Also some toxicity (i. e. insults and such) got worse since then. Same goes for the overall quality of survivor teammates in solo q and the matchmaking.
It is the big disadvantage with big commercial licenses. They draw all sorts of people including those you actually do not want to have because they just lack human decency.
@the topic itself: Insane. Just insane. It is a game after all. Like. I also dislike being ransacked by tunneling killers, but when someone really p*sses me off, I also forget about them after a minute. Not even starting with messaging in endgame chat, I just go next. They want a reaction and I won't give them this satisfaction.
Next game and I could not care less about someone in the trial before. It is not worth the time to deal with someone who annoys you. Why even spend energy on that.

dbd players have always been mentally unhinged. its because this game, when it doesn't provide serotonin, produces in the moment rage which is normally a "think it don't say it" sort of thing but in this game we seem to like dwelling on our last matches and make posts about it so we get all the unfiltered emotions. the mods are truly front line workers having to sift through all that.

Honestly always amazed at knee-jerk rage-out posts that are clearly made because of one or two bad matches. Like every thought someone has doesn't need to be a whole post in the official forum. Wait a few hours, process, and see if you really think the post is necessary.

You're free to have your opinion. I'm not much into conspiracy stuff. I know it happens, but not on a huge scale.
This much I know. If someone accuses me of cheating in the end game, I agree with them completely, and not in a sarcastic way either. I might even troll people and tell them that they're being put on "our list" for who knows what. ** It means nothing.

It can happen or exist and I meant its rare.
For accusing someone from cheating honestly its nothing bad because there are so many subbtle cheaters that you cant be sure, so many perks and cheaters having more than 4 perks viable plus the fact anticheat does nothing more people have problem with it on loading screen or had than cheaters so there is nothing unusual being suspicious especialy if that survivor has no steam profile and is using hyperfocus (I had some p100 cheaters with steam profile, they are rare but I have met two subbtle ones one was speeding behind cirners and other had wallhacks).
