Will Ghostface be forever in 💩 Tier?
I know Skull Merchant eventually get changes but what about Ghostface? Will he never receive any drastic and meaningful changes?
Since I watched the first movie as a teenager years ago (I was born in the 80s, Scream was released in 1996), Ghostface has and always will be my favorite slasher. Seeing Ghostface at the bottom of the barrel of the killer tierlists is just downright insulting to the entire franchise. Hearing and seeing peoples and popular streamers that Ghostface is trash is just sad and pathetic at the same time.
I don't care how you twist or turn it. Seeing my favorite movie character being treated like trash pisses me off, and I know how I feel to the Michael Myers fans out there asking for a rework for the longest time only to receive the dash slop service instead of trying to make the power close to the source as possible without making the power overbearing or weak.

If devs dont spare some resources on him probably yes, he is fun and doesnt need some huge rework like mayers but some buffs to his kit so he is rewarded for marking a survivor and using his power instead of punished hard like he is now.

This Ghostface isn't the Scream movies Ghostface. Danny doesn't come from that world. The way he's depicted in Dbd isn't even accurate to the Scream movies. Those Ghostfaces didn't sneak around crouched down stalking their victims. Scream Ghostfaces were all about calling them on the phone and mentally messing with them before killing them.
So Dbd Ghostface could be reworked any which way because its pretty much its own thing. Its not beholden to the Scream franchise.

Well, they probably will rework him into a dash killer if the devs go for big changes.
Don't know what else to say. Maybe some numeric changes could help.

Current BHVR devs have shown they don't like stealth killers. Best thing anyone can hope for who plays Ghostface is that BHVR doesn't touch him.

He needs some small number tweaks and that's probably it.

It may ease your frustrations to know that this Ghostface has very little to do with the Scream franchise, the mask and the movies are separate licenses + BHVR only have the mask.
That being said, I think Ghostface is always going to be a killer that's difficult to play just because of how his power is designed, but I don't think that means he's doomed to be low tier forever. There's a lot that could be done, and he has gotten noticeable buffs in the past; I would imagine it's only been a while because BHVR are prioritising other killers, rather than because they have decided Ghosty's a lost cause or anything.
Hopefully he'll get another pass fairly soon.

I mean he needs something like his knife sheat addon but like 5% haste would be fine instead of 10% and then something like 5-10% haste when he is in his power but with mechanics like is fearmonger class in 2v8 where you would have that haste when no one is looking at you and when you arent in the chase that would be great for him then shorter cooldown and stalk time would be nicer too things like this so he isnt so powerless against good teams.
