The Abandon button

I just finished a trial vs. a Springtrap. 2 of us remained, and whilst I distracted Springtrap long enough Jane got the door open.

I decided to abandon, only to find a) my stats screen took it as an escape, and b) my endscreen said I escaped!

Even now, I lost to a Huntress and abandoned when sacrificed, but once again I am seeing the escape on both pages!

So does that mean I am on BHVR's stats as a survivor escape, and were this true then does that mean any abandon is now an escape and would inflate their figures? Because this does not feel right.

I won't be abandoning in future until this is amended, because especially to the killers who earned the win (both Sprintrap and Huntress played well), it must be annoying to check the results screen afterwards and seeing a false result.

It deletes the loss for your personal stats but, supposedly, not the offical ones. It shows on the killer's stats as an escape too, but it counts as a kill in their actual KR. It artifiically inflates your ER while not affecting the killer.

I never use it. I can't stand the idea of my stats being wrong. If I have to get humped for four minutes instead then so be it.

Yes, that is weird, however no. If ANYONE DCs from a match (and an abandon is just a DC you are not punished for) the entire match is thrown out. So that escape? Escape, Kill, what it says doesn't matter because the entire match NEVER HAPPENED. IT might show on our end, but it's not taken into account for BHVRs data in any way nor does the match calculate into anyone's escape or kill rates.

It doesnt count in the official stats, much like a hatch or DC doesnt count in those. It shows as an escape in the personal stats page but I've seen people claim they've noticed it doesn't affect their overall rate. Maybe someone can test it. I would but I don't have a stats page.
