The narrative "I have seen it so it must be true" must end...
Hello everybody,
from time to time I read some posts on this forum and I could go absolute nuts about people screaming that they saw something and declare it the norm of this game.
What do I mean by this?
A good example of this is Springtrap.
The moment Springtrap dropped on the PTB my Youtube exploded with Videos like this: Springtrap strongest Killer in DBD. These Videos showed some gameplay from Springtrap that was "surely" recorded against real people. Showing how Springtrap could throw his axe over walls and most of the time hit while the Survivor stand completly still and grabs out of his portal like all the time. This forum and other plattforms got flodded with post how about it is neccassary to give Springtrap the Skull Merchant treatment.
Now after some time I think we can agree that the orbitals are a threat but not as universal allrounder like they got praised to be and that grabs out of his teleport are rare as hell.
Another good example for the Survivor side are Gen speeds and some Killers go nuts about it. Do I think gens are to fast? Yes I do belive it. Does that mean every gen pops under 40 seconds because some Contentcreators showed a "totally" normal game where the Killer waited close to the Survivors which slammed a gen? No it does´t.
Other examples are:
Chucky scamper needs to be nerfed, because if all pallets on Larrys are dropped he could charge across the whole map.
The Head On into flashbang, into DS, into flashbang combo. Does it exist? Yes. Is it the ultimate way to play? Not at all you burned through your complete build and are kinda screwed.
Running the Killer easily on Haddonfield for 5 gens without dropping a single pallet.
Slugging before a gen gets touched.
All these can exist but are far away from the norm.
What I want to say is just try to play this game on your own mind. Stop demanding nerfs because some "completly legit" gameplay dropped. Try to get your own opinion on things and stop using fake or unnormal content as prayer for "your" opinion.
