Adjusted Tiles Post 9.3.0
Half of these screenshots are not mine, for the record. I've just been collecting them.
As we can see, not only did they massively reduce the number of pallets, as seen in the Yamaoka screenshots, but they also destroyed a lot of loops on existing maps.
Thoughts?

What a shocker. No one saw this coming.

can’t wait for the “pallet density changes to the updated changes” in 9.4.0 lol
32 -
Lmao, stop playing survivors right now, it's a joke
30 -
This is a disaster. Tiny unsafe loops that any killer can outplay. No mindgames anymore.
I think this is the DEATH of the survivor role.31 -
Reminder there are people who legitimately think that the devs favor survivors.
34 -
- I was sure it would end up like this. Some loops are really ridiculous... but despite everything, I didn't see a single Trapper or Ghostface in my entire play session (killers who in theory should now be encouraged to be played).... always the same 5 Top Killers (Blight, Kaneki, Oni, etc etc) + Skull merchant.
16 -
Cause they never nerf those Killers Blight hasn't been nerfed in 4 years
8 -
I know doomposting happens when changes come but I genuinely think so many Survivors are gonna quit after this patch
23 -
swamp has these
34 -
Historically its true.

Impossible Geometry
19 -
Ngl, some of those are so absurd I just cannot help but laugh.
The swamp one killed me.😂
19 -
They overcorrected yeah. I too took a tour and a majority of these are basically just instant predrops and win as many 50s as you can.

I've mainly been on the Gas Heaven map showcase since the update dropped today and thought it was just the map or it was just the rng of the tiles I've gotten. So far the tiles I've experienced today have been pretty crap for survivor. They're basically all the last thing you loop in order to get just a few more seconds out of a chase, only now that's all there is.
If they've done something to all maps then that's a bit concerning if they still plan on taking a de-palletification pass on next patch. It's basically a way to sneak reducing pallets to even worse than before they touched them in the first place.
On the plus side, the worse they make the survivor experience the longer killer queues will get. The longer those get, the more likely they'll be to implement a play while you wait feature to 1v4. If they do that, maybe killer players will experience just how miserable they're making the game for their counterparts.
11 -
"Pretty good job so far!"
14 -
Still too survivor sided… they should remove the rock too!
28 -
Massive overcorrection for sure.
Last patch was bad, yeah, but this isn't good either.
12 -
I‘m glad I found better games to enjoy
19 -
Its an overreaction, it’s just one map plus there’s still plenty of safe loops in DBD.
-38 -
Thank you Brimp.
8 -
It is not just one map, it's like half of them
28 -
4 maps queue on Yamaoka and Macmillan it's a barren wasteland
7 -
Please keep sharing screenshots here in this thread; we really appreciate it.

I played a bunch of Mikey games today to get a feel for his strike attack with the sensitivity modifier removed (it feels very good btw). Yeah its pretty grim out there for survivors. Majority of the tiles are very unsafe and easily mind gamed.
Throw in killers with anti loop/chase powers and survivors are going to get stomped. When your team mates are having short chases out there guys, go easy on them. Odds are they just got awful loop rng.
16 -
Finally the maps killer players asked for. The culmination of the "year of health". Ironically might be the year my health improves from dropping this disaster of a game.
29 -
Like you said during the PTB, and yet we still somehow ended up with this result? I'm not blaming you personally, I'm just honestly baffled at how badly the devs handled it.
I guess it's the devs that keeps misinterpreting the community feedback you bring them. The overwhelming majority of players who gave feedback were saying the changes should mostly be reverted, not massively nerfed.
18 -
nows a good time to return the Borgo pallet. if you know you know..

Yeah, I played as Wraith against good survivors just now and won with half brain turned off. They couldn't do nothing, the tiles and fillers are too weak and you can mindgame them with eyes closed.
SHOCKING update and direction the game is heading.
Good luck survivors, this is gonna be tough.
27 -
if you go on YouTube most of the comment sections are saying that the killer role is almost dead💀🤣
16 -
I hope they keep theses changes. Makes it easier for me to just stay playing marvel rivals where my mains actually get some outfits unlike in dbd….
8 -
Well, this ain't what people had in mind when they said they were getting nerfed, that's for sure. Somehow the game went from survivor sided, to killer sided because of a single patch that doesn't even fix the problem they addressed in the stream. But yeah, if this doesn't get emergency reverted it is definitely over for survivor. I'm expecting queues and active players to plummet now cus of this change.

You've got me for a second but yeah, same story for me.

For @Balrog
Preliminary testing shows that yes, some maps are indeed reduced. Not as gloomy as my first comment on the matter, but some key maps that absolutely needs a re-visit.Crotus Prenn Asylum
- Filler tiles (burnt out remnants) outside of main building are horribly unsafe
- Main building seems a lot less safe, and the pallet count should be 2 inside (one per floor) instead of just one single pallet for the entire structure.
- Density seems fine, at least in the map seed I got.
Main building pallet spawn
Bad and unsafe short-walled tile
Yamaoka Estate - Family Residence
- Had an OK seed, with decent spacing around the middle, and lower part near shack. No deadzones to speak of
- However, it is very inconsistent, when comparing it to the other screenshot, where the middle part was essentialy free of pallets.
- Sanctum of Wrath is less affected by the changes, and spawned pallets with adequate spacing.
Workable tile placements
Other side of middle.
Ormond - Mt. Ormond Resort:
- The shack side of main building had decent tile spread, and an okay amount of pallets. It also had mindgame'able loops between rocks and trees.
- The opposite side, where the little hut spawns was another story. Wide open, no cover, and a few pallets on the edgemap.
Shack side, with a fine spread of pallets.
The front yard on the other hand has big gaps in between tiles.
Another part of the front yard, where there are big gaps between tiles
I tested some others as well, but in all my custom matches, it seemed like the pallet density was decent enough.
However, it is very inconsistent on certain maps, like on Azarov's Resting Place, where deadzones may occur, especially on the side of main building, where the bus loop spawns.
Crotus Prenn needs a better middleground between pre-9.3.0 and post 9.3.0.
As a side note, the changes to Myers really made his dash a tad on the stronger side, since freeing up the camera makes dodging it near impossible, especially against PC players.8 -
Last update of the year too. Happy holidays everyone lol enjoy the upcoming Bone Chill event 🥳
24 -
I like how this is the 2nd straight year something bad has happened right before the winter event lol, last year it was Thrill of the Hunt needing an emergency nerf
11 -
At least I can get some ugly Christmas Sweaters to get tunneled out in while navigating dead zones 🎄 🎁
12 -
I don't think the developers care about this feedback. But if Otz, Hens, and their crew release a video complaining that the changes don't favor the killers, then they'll care about that feedback and make the necessary changes to please their sacred cows.
21 -
This dev is a joke, thanks for the Quality of Bugs initiative.
18 -
GF and Krasue will be eating good too

Labor of Love.
13 -
any faith i had left is gone. Play your own damn game, do some real quality assurance.
17 -
This is going to be like the health update we had to correct the previous failed health update. Just so much wasted dev time. But, hey… at least they're focusing on anti-slugging and anti-tunnel changes since we don't have a new chapter this month. Oh, wait…
2 -
oni, and skull merchant are top 5 killers?
-9 -
This is tiring. First some maps get absolutely overloaded with pallets, now they've simply vanished?
I just want to play the game man
9 -
hahahahahahaha
8 -
BHVR can't help but go 150% percent in the wrong direction no matter which side it seems.
17 -
I think I was the only person when I heard a dev say they play survivor, I knew they were lying.
I have never seen a more biased dev team, essentially sabotaging one half of their player base.
6 -
It's so upsetting. I've been trying to play survivior with my friends and we literally could do much.
After switching to a killer for 3 hours I haven't lose a match. Always 4k or 3k with giving out hatch.
It's ridiculous, it's sad, it's miserable.
8 -
That's BHVR for ya!
One day, they throw in 20 new pallets, yeeting years of balance out of the window.
The very next month, they sledgehammer it and oops, now every loop is a trash pallet.
I would like to say I'm surprised... but I'm not.
