Line up for the m1, survivors
Oh you wanted improvements to solo queue, tunneling, and slugging?
Lol ######### you. Here’s all of the changes reverted because killer mains cried. Also destroying maps for survivors as a nice bonus.
Labor of love everyone.

don't bother considering the needs of solo queuers - they're just the silent majority.

I don’t understand how it went from a survivor sided patch to a fully killer sided patch lol, like where is their backbone?
31 -
We'll save survivors
Also Devs: Who's my precious Killer baby? Scraps everything and reduces all the pallets
15 -
Every match I've been in today as survivor has been a complete steamroll except for 1 where the killer was just bad and another where the killer was obviously taking mercy on us. I look forward to the smug pricks of YouTube taking their victory lap (provided they can take a break from finding new things to whine about when it comes to survivors).
18 -
"Silent" is the key word. They need to start raising their passive little voices to the shriek levels of some of these killer-players.
17 -
learn to spin, use to be common back in the early 20s and it works well against killers who are distracted (usually due to boredom)
-36 -
We cannot be really suggesting that this patch is balanced because you can spin the killer.

I know Im in the minority with this but I really don't get the narrative that this happened cause the killer side just cried enough.
If just crying and complaining in this forum was enough to stop changes to this game it would still be in the state it was in 2020.
You even have many killer players in this forum complaining that the changes are dumb and should be reverted, yet it's still their fault.
In the end noone knows if it's because people complained. Might as well just be that the numbers weren't right or the devs played the game themselves for once and had a bad killer game. But this narrative of every bad change for my side is the other sides fault is literary the bane of DBD
-18 -
I think (hope) the poster is joking as that is what the parenthesis at the end seems to make it.
-3 -
nah just giving a suggestion as you rarely see people do anything but wold W no matter the side anymore
-9 -
was meant to be light hearted but it is what it is
-9 -
In all fairness, the devs did say that they decided to scrap everything because they received a bunch of negative feedback.
9 -
I'm kinda shocked I've not seen a community manager or anyone from behaviour actually say "hey guy, we know we've done wrong... Yada yada yada".. haven't seen a thing? Does someone from Behaviour actually want to let us know you're listening? Cause if we were killer mains, there's already be a designated forum and a patch lined up..
7 -
I mean, not sure how much proof we need how much they really hate survivors lol.
Wish they would sale the game to a new dev team before it's too late. It has potential to be a fun game.
8 -
I think it's probably more to do with the fact the patch went live yesterday.
4 -
And they're also going to revert Wicked back to its original form. You don't give survivors built-in anti-tunnel, but you then take away a new anti-tunnel perk!? New Wicked would have at least alleviated some of this. If tunneling is here to stay, we'll need some more strong anti-tunnel perks.

Oh boy another Us VS Them post.
Didn't we say the devs hate killer a few weeks ago, now it's they hate survivor?
I think the real answer is obvious: BHVR has no idea how to utilize feedback and goes too far with changes. We've seen it with perks on either side, we've seen it with killers, and we've seen it with maps. The fact we had TOO many pallets and now too few shows this isn't a bias decision, it's misunderstanding their game.-3 -
It’s been non-stop us vs them for the past few days from the same usual suspects who don’t play killer side.
-16 -
Do you not understand that a lot of people that player survivor also play killer? When the devs make changes that affect the survivor experience, it’s not like “killer mains” are unaffected because, despite what you seem to believe, many of them also play survivor. The last people that BHVR should be taking input from are those who exclusively play one side, killer or survivor.
-1 -
days? it’s been years
-7 -
This↑
Many people claim they play both survivor and killer, but they’re lying — the real ratio is 9.5 to 0.5 lol, and they’re also really bad at killer lol.
-2 -
I haven't seen many people that don't display a bias towards one role or the other. Even if you play an exact 50/50, you probably have a leaning. Possibly a strong one.
And yeah, the forum is full of angry survivors right now because that side got the short end of the stick. After numerous promises of a better experience for them, fog vials were destroyed, styptics were rendered useless, and zero of the anti-cheese changes made it to live.
Before that, for the last two ptbs, it was filled with angry killers dooming and glooming and threatening to quit, even though none of the proposed changes even happened and the biggest issue was pallets. The us vs them comes from both sides, it just goes in waves.
But I agree on the last point: the feedback of people who don't seriously play both roles should, at the very least, be taken with a grain of salt.

Yeah, the past 2 and a half years really showed how much the devs favour killer.
Survivors have only gotten Basekit anti-camp, basekit longer hook stages, basekit faster mending, basekit longer unhook protection, stronger sabotage all around, Shoulder the Burden, Conviction, Finesse, buffed Resurgence, buffed Vigil, buffed Decisive Strike, most of the strongest and most common survivor perks (for example, Lithe, Sprint Burst, Resilience, Deja Vu, Hyprfocus, Unbreakable) untouched while Pain Res and Pop got constantly nerfed, Skull Merchant nerfed purely because of Survivor complaints, gen speeds + bnp untouched, broken potential energy not killswitched for weeks, broken streetwise not killswitched for one week, hell even stronger chests.

Any experienced player, whatever their "main" is, will agree that the 1st density update was rough on many Killers and was too much on most maps except for a couple who did need a few more pallets (Haddonfield being chief among them).
And any experienced player, whatever their "main" is, will agree that the current density update went too far in the other direction by not only reducing pallets on some maps (I'm not sure why but R.P.D. and Lerys seems to have been mostly spared while Yamakoa is sometimes a barren wasteland...) but also by weakening loops (and outright breaking some, there's literally a few places where pallets can be found just floating there with nothing next to them, basically unusable).
People can say that the decision was bad and blame BHVR for it and call for a revert to pre-first pallet density update (back to Springtrap time). But people should stop trying to put blame on "Killer mains", no one asked for such an overkill change in the other direction. Even the most vocal "Killer mains" merely wanted a revert and not for BHVR to just create another problem.

Gonna share the source for that?
11 -
I can’t provide an actual source for it, because it’s sarcasm directed at people who only play one side yet still post selfish opinions.
According to data released by the developers, the average survivor escape rate in the Asia region is 6–7% higher than the global average. Honestly, that’s abnormal.A well-known streamer looked into this using a VPN, and it seems the reason is that survivors in the Asia region are extremely focused on winning — they rush gens and they don’t “go next.”
So if you’re playing on EU or NA servers and claiming that the survivor side is disadvantaged, the first thing you should do is stop waiting around for pointless flashlight-save attempts or going next, and actually focus on winning and improving your skills.
You can give your opinions to the killer side after that.
-3 -
Well, in the Asia region, the killer players are playing in a much more gentleman like fashion, where they don't tunnel, camp or slug. That is probably why the average escape rates are closer to 50%, as compared to the rest of the world, where tunneling, slugging and camping is much more widespread.
They also play in a fashion that is more similar to comp play, minus the restriction on perks, and as I mentioned, the "gentleman's agreement" on the killer side.0 -
lmao survs literally wouldn't be satisfied unless they had infinite loops back and the killer was slowed to 80% when they're about to catch them
-3 -
And as I've observed, the Killers in Asia aren't exactly up to NA standards, they aren't very good on average.
See how that gets us nowhere? Comparing regions is pointless.
