Yeah, why being so stingy with the iri shards?
Pretty much every prior year, we've had at least 3k shards, and some levels worth of Pass XP.
This year's roadmap only has 1k shards and mostly BP. No pass XP either25 -

So incredibly stingy. Only 400 iri shards on Christmas day when we got 1K in previous years.
With all the rewards together, there's barely enough there for a single basic cosmetic piece. You couldn't even buy a perk from the shrine with that. Wow, thanks BHVR. I'll try not to spend them all in one place.

Are we really surprised at this point? They've been reducing rewards since the anniversary event. And we all know what they're going to do for the Bone Chill event: Just guarantee one (maybe) winter firecracker and one mystery box in every bloodweb for P100 characters.

I wonder to what extent FNAF meant a 'new start' from BHVR's perspective or how many of the new players are still around. 900 shards would still be a nice bonus to a player who started over the summer.
Or maybe they've just gotten incredibly stingy.

I understand them not wanting to give Iridescent Shards.
But c'mon man, what are those blood point rewards? 50K? That's one killer game worth of points.
Also no rift fragments?
Here's hoping the Bone Chill event has more rewards than the Halloween event, because the login rewards are definitely not gonna get people to login.

the base price of the game already feels more like a demo with all the new stuff added and they cant even give out 9000 shards honestly ought to be ashamed if anything they may as well give a small amount of auric cells considering that we didnt get this game for free anyways but no just drip feed a pathetic 50k bp

You know, despite all the issues over the years, I always felt like BHVR loved the game and its players. Some changes were big misses, sure, but I always felt like they meant well.
This year it feels like something fundamental has shifted in their attitude toward the player base. It's as though they have the view that these losers are going to play regardless of what we do and how we treat them. It's not even the gameplay issues that bother me that much, but how they treat their community, and how we keep getting content pushed out that's threadbare or broken. The Walking Dead "map". The problems with the Walking Dead Stream. A Rift many struggled to complete because they massively increased the requirements. A Rift with half the usual content and some of it still not released (Claudette's head for her outfit). I'm sure people could list others.
I mean, they explained the issue with the current Rift having far fewer cosmetics than normal on an issue with an outside contractor, with yet another promise to "do better" with their communication (how many of those promises have we had recently?). But what's the excuse for being so miserly with the login rewards? It's hard to be anything but cynical about it, especially after the year we've had.

It does feel like self-sabotaging lately.
I wish we could be more generous. Especially with 49 surviviors, 41 or 42 killers in the roster.
It's not like we will be maxing them up with those gifts easily.Also every character has dozens of skins, 3k shards would not make a difference for the company.
I think that's my first year that I am not buying cosmetics.
I already bought what I wanted (and more!) with the shards and chucky's sweater with left-over aurics.4 -
Maybe they’ll drop a code that’s only valid on the week of Christmas, maybe even just the day of.

Then don't log in. It's not like they're required to give away anything, so rather appreciate free points instead of complaining y'all.

you cant even buy Iri Shards, so them being stungy with them makes no sense. well it does, but thats due to DbD having no competitors
