Still have a massive hatred for flashlights

Not even as killer...survivor yes if I get a survivor who brings I flashlight I already know what to expect.

Will follow the injured survivor around the entire time instead of doing a gen or simply refusing to take a protection hit even though that would be better then just standing there waiting. Yes I know there are challenge that require flashlight saves but...you don't have to hug the flashlight to your chest just take a protection hit. What's funnier that flashlight survivor is same survivor who will refuse to do generators I get it can be a boring objective but if your wanting to distract the killer or just be in a case you gotta not be hiding the whole time because you want a flashlight save plus guess what your then screwed because turns out the killer has lightborn and your entire build is flashlight focused.

When I get people who are being more altruistic i tend to stick to grinding out gens.

It can be annoying if they are bad at it but what if they get the save. longer chase, no hook perks can go off. also they can never learn to do if they don't try.

Now when its two people doing it its annoying, but if its just one teammate and they do get the saves tends to be a net positive if other two are doing gens.

Once I made a survivor dc because I didn´t went down fast enough so he could save me.

Even stated in Aftergame Chat: "Dude I will not follow you for the whole game while you decide to loop the Killer. XD

    Learn when killer has lightborn.

Survivors who constantly try to blind you after it hasn't worked the first 3 times must be very annoying to other teammates as they persist with the useless flashlight instead of doing gens.

This is pretty player specific. A cracked flashlight user vs a killer without Lightborn can decide a match. I had one yesterday where a friend got two saves on me in a row then pallet stunned another save. Killer DCed. On the flipside, I have a couple friends who always bring flashlights yet never seem to get saves, and they are pretty much guaranteed to get slugged. Flashlights, to me, are better for party players on comms, where you can communicate your tactics, and you also know what to expect.

But soloqing also means you're signing up for a match where everyone might do whatever they please. If flashlights tilt you, dodge.

Maybe survivors would use other items if BHVR hadn’t nerfed them.

It's a niche that needs filling, flashlight is really the only way for survivors to "fight back" beyond static objects like pallets. As a rule when I play killer I find flashlights very easy to counter, and for killers who lack the skill to do so there's always lightborn.

You kind of need at least 1 surv to "fight back". Otherwise it's just all about fixing gens and running away

My rule as Killer is if I see more than 2 flashlights then I take my lightborn build. I feel you though, it is annoying when you are the only one getting gens and everyone else is running around the killer trying to save only to get downed and basically throw the game.

i never bring lightborn and never hesitate to pick, if i get blinded i get blinded. Atleast theres 2 survivors not cranking gens.

It's that specific area that shows a lot when I play soloQ. I think it's less survivor with the flashlight and more the idea of. You would rather follow me the entire time instead of body blocking if your on death hook and I'm not then yeah makes sense but it's more when I clearly see them hiding and know I'm screwed because they couldn't have just taken a hit. Against an Oni yeah rather not give him his power but still.
