No event is ever safe
Slugging...really
Here's the thing there are two kinds of slugging
The good kind aka you down something quick look around maybe hit a survivor to injure them as a warning and then pick up
Then the one that seriously it's an event why are you doing that. Slugging because you rely solely on your power and ended up not getting a 4k at 4 gens because you again rely on your power the whole time. I was facing a Huntress who did nothing but use her hatchets which is fine nice long range attack might get a nice snipe. All the gens were done with a death hook and one dead plus an extra hook then she started Slugging and again just used her hatchets none stop even when she was close enough for a hit. I was at a semi safe pallet not God pallet but you can loop it though the killer can use a short cut or break it to get you. She constantly kept using her hatchets and missing.
Bur it's an event why slug for a 4k when a 2k is a tie and fun fact 3k you win because you get more kills then escapes. I'm not saying no killer should use their power their power but I've had matches where a killer gets destroyed because they relyed to heavily on their power mostly Hillbilly's but still then they switch to slugging when no one is nearby so just...why it's an event your not here for a 4k and I sure as heck am not trying to get a 4k escape while blind folded me escaping or just a 3k escape is a win so just realize a 3k kill is a win for killer.
OH AND CAMPING LET'S ADD CAMPING TO THE MIX. Yeah got camped to second stage but since survivors were near by yeah never went up because that seems 100% fair and then add tunneling because we don't like people enjoying the winter event...this is my second match playing the event BTW...seriously just love people doing this just love it bring more please do bring more let's get a nice hacker in I'm thinking killer wise speed hacking and auto sacrifice on hook just to tie it around.

Ive been getting turbo tunnelers and 4 man slugs a 1 generator done, maybe 10 rounds out of 15. People try to have fun with the snowballs n stuff at the start and try to fill up event points but NO! HERE COMES META BLIGHT WITH LETHAL PERSUER! and the whole team is dieing before 2 gens done since he just goes right back to hook in seconds with nowhere to run since he also has sadakos scourge hook. Thats been most of the event for me lol

yeah i switched to killer during the event. after going against krasue, blight, kaneki, oni, singularity and dracula all in a row with 5/6 of them being 90+ ping just made me throw in the towel on survivor for the day. i was getting hit through everything, there was at least 1 tunnel out, hard slugging for the 4k or camping someone into second stage in every single match. idk what happened within the past 24 hours because the first few days of the event were really chill on both sides but now it seems everyone is over the gimmicky snowballs and are trying their hearts out.

Only slugger I played against was Onryo that was going for Condemned kills. Tunnelers seen more but even in those they rarely get much benefit out of it.

I had to slug and tunnel someone lot this event because I went against many sabbo squads that were deffinitely swf by their coordination and fast resets in short time or very timed bodyblocks and with many killers that arent meta like billy,ghoul,blight you cant do much so when I got them as trapper the goal was clear when I found out what they are up to (denying me hooks, keep saving each other and tbaging me constantly so bully squad detected), I sluged and when it was safe I focused on getting two particular survivors out as fast as I could so the last few are super vulnerable to sluging and cant bodyblock that much because m1 hits hurt.
I have seen to many sabbo squads this event its crazy but I won against everyone, you cant go easy on them because only strongest killers can but still get slowed super hard so best way is play dirty and still you will have hard times but you will slowly beat them but its annoying experience.

why are you complaining about a huntress slugging at the end of the game only when all the generators are done?
If she leaves you alone for 20 seconds a gate is open, it’s the end of the game. Of course she will try to get the best result. Do you expect a killer to just let you go because it’s an event queue? Would you intentionally get off gens to do chests and run around in a snowman to make sure your overall efficiency isn’t too high? If your 3 teammates are escaping anyway (“win”) would you let the killer kill you?
It’s an event gamemode but it’s still DBD. As long as both sides are interacting with the event mechanics (even if it’s only freezing pallets and gens) that’s more than enough.

The devs made the event even easier than base game for killers. The type of person that wants to totally decimate their opponent is going to be drawn more to the easier mode than the harder one. Add to that, sometimes the survivors are hoping to goof around in the event, which also means easier games.
OF COURSE the tryhards are going to the event queue. What they want to get from this game is to easily beat the competition. Why would they choose the harder mode? You should expect nothing less than the sweatiest matches in event queue.

If all the gens are done what else you expect the killer player to do? Slugging everyone only real choice they got left.
For the camping you only have your team mates to blame. There's a progress bar that shows the anti camp meter.

I totally agree. I have gotten so bored playing survivor…. wait 10 min for a match…. last 4 killers didnt even throw a snow ball. I think DBD should just end events. Its not like people play them. (im being sarcastic but you get the point) How is it i can farm 2 hooks each and get 60k points but I play survivor and killers are tunneling and slugging for 35k. So boring. Im not saying they are wrong to play the way they want to… i just wish there wasnt a DC penalty so I can move onto a more fun match. I think that would help the survivor experience tremendously

I honestly don't understand your point? Huntress and hillbilly are both killers where you want to use your power constantly. Only reason not to do this is to down already injured survivors if you can get the hit easily - with hillbilly it's probably an option to m1 the loop if possible, but with huntress even a rock can be enough for a few rounds waisting literally ages of your time.
Not to mention that you obviously have to learn to use their powers somehow, in both cases the awnser to that is using them as much as possible even if you lose for that.
Also I heavely doubt that they slugged because they lost because they used their power to much, that sounds like killers that simply do this to win, and I understand that completely. There might be people that just want to meme around, but there are also people that want to play the event for the bloodpoints (not that it gives much more, but still relevant I guess? I don't know) and really don't want to play around with snowballs.
I personally count to those people:
While I won't force tunnel outs, camps and sluggs I will take what you give me as a survivor. Means if you're freshly unhooked and death hook and I see you by chance, I will kill you under the circumstance that it's worth it (so I don't lose more gens than I'd gain preassure because of this).
That being said, just let the people play how they want. I've also seen swfs sweating in the event, so it's at least even xD
