2025 DBD was a success
so happy we got the anti tunnel update. This game has never been better. Oh wait….

I am taking a forced break. This was a huge let down but my arthritis (or seems to be mysterious hand pain). Is also very upset there isn’t any anti tunneling.

Obviously Killers need to tunnel. There is no other way than this conclusion when you look at the Screenshot. Imagine this "strategy" would have a disadvantage.
12 -
Well, since it’s Ghoul, I assume everybody gave up immediately
-12 -
no we tried. I just got tunneled and they tried taking hits but just didn’t work. Very fun game
15 -
didn’t help that this was my first game on in a while and ofc I get a ghoul that just hard tunnels….yawn
9 -
i love that they continue to design killers that aren't fun to play against
keep it up bhvr
20 -
you know you can replace adrenaline with unbreakable or conviction or exponental
-11 -
looks like an issue with ghoul not with tunneling.

2025 problem child - The ghoul

Not even slightes, for me its cheaters and the fact devs dont talk about them and are doging the changes that should stop most of them like upgrading the anticheat or making better report system, adding replay option so you can watch the match and spot who was sus if he was subtle or not things like these are needed or this game will die in few years because cheaters cant be beaten in this game sadly.
-1 -
Even if they pay for the anti-cheat it just gets them support for integrating it into the game and some additional features (I don't know exactly what features so may or may not be relevant to this game). The real work would still be actually updating all their code and moving a lot of things to the server (which also means additional server costs). It wouldn't surprise me if easy anti-cheat took one look at the code base and just said, we can't help you lol. Replay option has the same problem, would likely require a full rewrite of the DBD trial code to properly implement.
They can certainly do more than they are doing now but those two options specifically (and they are the best ones since they are actually proactive not reactive) would require a ton of work.

yeah cheaters still being in this game is inexcusable

it really does feel like this quality of life thing was a parody. a lot of PR about helping with slugging/tunneling/proxy camping cheese tactics and what do we get…buffed killers, a slightly extended face camp range that killers just stand right outside of, and smaller loops? the only real good and noticeable improvement is the extended base kit endurance and haste off hook, which won't fully stop a tunneler but is better than nothing. they really should have given the killers more time to adapt to the changes, because they reverted them within days based on social media outrage. make the killer players learn to adapt instead of holding their hands when they cry about a PTB. survivors have been adapting to buffed killers and new killers for ages now. the low skill killers abusing these cheese tactics should be forced to learn how to play without solely relying on them.

The most hilarious thing is no one is talking about them from dev team and it was long time when we saw something mentioned about them in road maps, they just have green and can pass and the amount of them being subttle thats even scarier because you cant notice it unless someone saw it directly or you dont record your games and dont replay them like in this video you can see there are situations that most of people would just missed when they are focused in match and only due to replay you can notice them like that dwight healing instantly after few seconds he was injured and chased away.

We would have gotten this but content creators had to doom post and say BHVR is killing dbd cause of survivors actually getting a fair chance
Thanks killer Content creators and big CC you just killed the survivor gameplay experience
Btw did the nerfed “buffed” syringe ever become meta like you guys said it would? It did not? Did you guys exaggerate again and grift again?
10 -
I was just going through some dbd vids recently and the comments are still the same “bhvr favors survivors killers get nothing they hates us killer exodus happening” stuff
7 -
It really sucked watching every effort to change or refresh this game get derailed by faux CC outrage over and over. Like we couldn't just keep the fog vials decent?
12 -
true, very killer sided devs, I hate it, dbd is so stale and boring rn that only veterans play, they could get more players if they released anti-tunnel/camp and slug and ofc killers getting benefits from free bbq, pop, could add basekit pain res but without screaming so it won't be abused with dms

the content creators went ballistic over the PTB and the first pallet density update but were very quiet when the reverted the pallet density and made the loops weaker…..
2 -
This is what happens if you listen to survivor and then dont listen to them and juggle.
Buff the low tiers, add anti-slug. And then experiment if that helps or not, then if not, you dont proceed because if you do tunneling, it wouldnt help.
If it does help, you also do with tunneling.
Instead they scared themselves because the people effected couldnt handle having a bigger challenge but survivors have "such a skull issue".
I heard battlefield 6 is on sale, maybe have fun with that.
3 -
I saw it being used once against me haha… and I am playing a lot of killer lately.
4 -
wow a whole one time
By the content creators logic it should have become meta and even more strong
I haven’t seen it once and I’ve played killer most of the time
6 -
Exactly. Content creators always make the changes look like they will make big impact on the gamaplay.
And mostly this doesn't happen. The thing is that new syringe is just boring.
There is no "adrenaline" while using it in chase. You just get the value if you played well.
One the other hand I loved old syringe both as survivor and killer.
We could make a little fun minigame - as a killer I tried to kill the survivior as fast as possible, so he doesn't use the syringe and I was mostly successful. As a survivior I would mostly lose the syringe too but it did feel well if I succeeded.4 -
I remember when they tried to hype up blood rush and the guitar perks as “swfs will abuse this we are terrified of these perks” overreacting as always
6 -
Exactly. How often do you see a guitar? I never do.
Bloodrush? Same thing5 -
they have done that with so many perks it’s funny
3 -
2025 was the flop of all flops for dbd. They better pull some epic stuff for next year.
4 -
This is why we have to deal with their constant doomposting:
They're not making the money they used to make while streaming this game because the viewers aren't there anymore. Clickbait and faux outrage is all they have left to get those click$ in. Unfortunately, the playerbase has to feel the impact.
8 -
True. Anytime I see a DBD content creator vid the opening is always "You won't believe what BHVR did now" with thousands of comments below talking about how awful the game is and how they all stopped playing since that's the only way to get engagement.
6 -
The best anti-tunnel feature will always be to get good. If you get tunneled out in less than 3 minutes, blame yourself for not being better. If your teammate does then blame them for not pulling their weight.
-5 -
This criticism feels kind of incomplete. There’s some truth in it, but very little nuance. “Get good” can be used to justify any imbalance in the game. Just because something is theoretically possible with enough time and skill doesn’t mean it’s reasonable or healthy expectation for the average player, which are the majority.
We don’t hold our standards with edge cases. A 400+ win streak on Clown doesn’t become the baseline just because it exists, we recognize those players as outliers. Expecting that level of performance isn’t realistic, and we accept that for killers. That logic shouldn’t disappear when the role in question is survivor. The way you phrased it gives the impression that surviving a hardcore tunnel isn’t a difficult thing to do, that it doesn’t require at least a thousand hours for an intense knowledge of looping, maps, resources, perks, and individual killer mechanics, that of which there are 40+ of.
