Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

The seasonal event is really boring.

Why do you keep running events that haven’t changed at all for four years? And on top of that, they last for about a month.

If you’re just going to repeat the same event every year, I’d rather you implement something like a ranked match mode, even if it’s only available for two weeks.

BHVR really needs to start challenging themselves with new ideas. If you keep doing the same thing year after year, players will continue to leave.

You can freeze the pallets that has not been in any earlier christmas season event. So they do update them and add new stuff and have to admit the freezing pallets might be one of the best additions they ever did to change normal gameplay as it can be used by survivor and killer to their own benefit when you use it correctly. You can even do it remotely by throwing fully charged snowball at the pallet.

Copy&Paste doesnt cost a thing. And even when they change something about (like freezing interactions) the animation are clearly low-cost.

I may be in the minority here but I actually like that the seasonal events (at least Bone Chill anyway) operate with the same basic template and minor changes, like this year's pallet freezing.

It's nice to know what you're going to get, and all I personally really want out of a winter end-of-year event is stuff like the snowball throwing and the snowmen mechanic. I do miss the snowmen that wandered around without anyone inside them though, I'd like those to be a staple.

The only thing I think is really worth criticising about this year's event is that the rewards are a bit lacklustre compared to previous years, the event itself is pretty good imo.

I also found the winter event boring this year. The snowmen just stand there and don't move (as they moved last year), there's no point in hiding in them. This is minus a whole layer of gameplay and funny situations where both survivors and killers could sneak up on snowmen. When empty snowmen are just standing there, there's no point in using them.

I also don't like that snow wasn't added to the maps. It would be possible to decorate all the maps with snow and add a snowy wind to them, as on Ormond.
