Is the new Vecna just a stronger Pyramid Head?
Well Hello everybody.
Since I saw the PTB yesterday I was kinda confused about this topic.
The only thing that Pyramid Head had are the following.
- Snipes
- unsafe Pallets and windows
- remote cages
- Quick mori if a certain condition is met.
Well the new Killer got
- Snipes
- unsafe Pallets and windows (but I think the hit is faster)
- map traversel on a long cd which can also be used to hit Survivors
- Quick mori if a cetrain condition is met. (even multible targets when lucky)
So… what do you think?
Is Vecna just a better Pyramid Head?

I mean yeah? Basically way less punishment for missing too

Objectively? Probably, he does what PH does but stronger in almost every way, the only thing PH has that's truly unique now are his cages. It basically doesn't matter if you miss as Vecna either, since his cooldown is so short you can just hold a survivor at an unsafe loop and spam until you get them.
But PH is more fun for me to play, from my limited time on the PTB, so he still gets his niche

that’s basically every new killer nowadays. they power creep already strong killers. soon probably later this year or next year we will have a killer similar to ST Vecna that just does what he does but better.

Yeah, but he has an activation mechanic. So he should have a stronger ability.
Doesnt mean that current Vecna is balanced, i dont have enough experience with him to argue about that.

Well if we compare them vecna has to hit you twice so he can damage survivors and clock starts (or survivor on 2 points from 4 can get damaged I believe to but it starts the clock), he can use his power more easily compare to pyramidhead who has narrow straight line that he has to hit and vecna gets hands on solid mobility which I would argue is in most games more usefull than cages that phead has (unless you go against very annoying bully squad but what are the chances and vecna can still deal with them because he isnt that limited especialy when clocks are up and he can just hit anyone with his m2 attack and injure them), not to mention the area attack he has when he exits from his mobility that will get nerfed but its very strong.
So vecna (the first) has I would say) easier power to hit with and has mobility plus some stronger mode (when grandfathers clocks are activated) that makes him better than phead for sure and having mobility that is probably like wraith speed that can go under droped pallets and has area attack when you exit is just cherry on top that totaly makes him more stronger that phead who has cages so vecna is possibly stronger and easier compare to phead who requires some solid skill level (bigger than huntress in general) and has more limitations compare to vecna.
The thing is how will the vecna (the first) look like when nerfs will hit because he will get 100% nerfed, even now I think his area attack form his mobility exit is sure or its exiting time getting way longer at worst.

maybe. I got thinking about PH myself, as I was thinking Vecna kinda feels like a limited range tank, where anything in his range is in danger. if either of these killers never miss the end result seems almost the same.
we will have to see if Circles are better than rectangles.

I think first krasue was stronger than current vecna but he will drop to b-tier after nerfs I believe.
Shame is no demogorgan buffs came with some addon changes because only thing that works on demo is shread and its two addons.

ST Vecna;
+faster cooldown
+better mobility
+less noise means less predictable when going for hits through walls/loops.
–needs ramp up until M2 damages, doesn't damage on 1st hit, potentially slowing early-game (arguably the most important part of any trial).
–teleport attack is very telegraphed and can't be canceled into a quick M1.
–the mori is arguably more complex to set up than PH Mori unless you specifically go for it, unlike PH mori that is often done without really planning for it.
–has no way to avoid saves unlike PH cages that can make him able to avoid any kind of saves and is fast enough to be done mid-chase.
–Far less effective at trading and tunnelling off-hook. (a positive from a design perspective).
Both have their advantages over the other, ST Vecna will likely get a bunch of changes between PTB and Live. Among those changes will likely be some sort of way to remove stacks since it's among the most common complaints.
