Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

I roughly know the reason why Vecna is so strong

If you recall, we were supposed to get the final form of anti tunnel, slug, and camp in November with the Vecna release, but since that idea was scrapped, Vecna remained unchanged because he was made strong so he could play against tunneling changes, just like Krasue initially. I hope for a changes or I'm not gonna play survivor because why would I? He is just like Nurse who deletes pallets, windows, It looks more like decoration there

I don't think new and strong content means the devs added it with a hidden motive to completely ruin survivor gameplay. It just seems like whoever is responsible for the decisions isn't doing a great job. I think Henry could use some cooldown adjustments because he feels too spammy, and maybe The Upside Down power range near hooks could be limited, since it can be annoying to rescue or get saved.

I noticed that his Undergate charged a lot slower near hooked survivors, which also lingered for a while after, so that he can't use that ability to camp hooks.
However, the vine attack had no such limitation.

Do you think it's necessary to change how it works near the hook, or is this change too punishing?

He shouldn't use his power under the hook since it will way too strong, because he is already good at slugging just watch Quietkills recent video

I'd rather not watch that guy, unless I want to make myself angry for some reason.

But the ability itself is definitely nerfed around hooks.
I watched Noob3 doing a video on the new killer.

that just puts me off. if a killer is mad op, then it doesn't get better than that and it's all downhill from there. what's to be excited about at that point?

meanwhile, Vecna 1 came out on ptb, people calling him trash and a joke and I'm just looking st the gameplay like...yeah, this guys gonna go places. I had something to look forward to.

thing is, you never know how a killer will be gutted. we had Nemesis and twins nerfs because their only good addons were overrepresented; that doesn't instill me with confidence. Will it be a number tone down, or a complete gutting of how a mechanic works, like Scamper? things like that Scamper needed to be adjusted, but then you lost a key part of the character that made you fall in love in the first place.

I think he could take a slightly longer cooldown on the vine attack and maybe like a 2% size reduction on the tp aoe attack (a very small amount). Maybe a bit of slowdown if you cancel the vine attack so he can't zone as easily?

He does feel like a bit much, but also like with just the right amount of small changes he'll be upper mid tier.

Overall, solid design provided he gets the tweaks he needs. Still salty that nothing else was changed, but it's hard to complain about the game finally getting its first W since FNAF.

that's a perfectly reasonable adjustment. I'm hoping that's the route they'll go down

So far I see two options for how to change it.

    1. The suggestion I had about increasing the cooldown on M2.
    2. Increasing the time it takes for the vines to come out of the ground, so that it gets easier to dodge - This alternative would be the worst outcome.

killers get nerfed when the prime sales are going down again, same with perks. if you check the patch history you sill see that bhvr always do bait and switch.

Yeah, you can't use the the actual power near a hook like, the circle won't go close enough to hit anyone, and then it takes legit like a solid 5-10 seconds to go off. And then the teleport power also takes a very long time to go off. It is super nerfed near hooks.

Right now if aimed perfectly dead center on the survivor model, it means it is going to hit. If you don't hit dead center, the survivor has a chance to juke depending on the direction they are going. I think that seems relatively balanced especially since he is a 110 killer. The reality is you have to hit twice with it before damage can even be done, and as soon as you land a hit, the speed boost gives the survivor enough distance where you can BARELY get a max range hit, and if the survivor jukes, good luck because they can be on the opposite end of the map before you ever catch up to them.

people always say killers are stronger than they are on the PTB because survivors don’t know counterplay.
Once it is learned, he’ll become easier to counter

Vine attack near a hooked survivor is slower though you'll see a white circle near the hooked survivor and it'll emerge very slow
