why are we still getting gen speed perks when the gens are flying WAY to fast?
Gen speed is already way to fast (i am mainly talking about perks, toolboxes and addons stacking) its just too much while killers gen slowdown perks are not that effective compared to this while they have work for it but the same thing cannot be said about survivors, so i hope that the whole genrush is gonna be adressed. (fixed)

5% extra repair speed when repairing a gen with other survivors really doesn't seem that crazy to me. I think those 2 perks will be fine.

the 5% extra speed stacks with prove and other team work also itself perks and gets better the more survivors are on a gen

Which is still worse than Survivors splitting up.
Honestly, people who complain about the "Gen Speed Perks" in this Chapter just show that they dont understand the game. They lack the information that there is a penalty for multiple Survivors working on a single Gen. (Aside from it being bad because the Killer can interrupt multiple people at once)

To be fair, while these are gen speed perks, they're not really gen rush perks because they require the survivors to group up + don't really give a crazy benefit for doing so.
Don't get me wrong, you can actually make grouping up a risky but viable option with these perks and Prove Thyself and probably Deja Vu or something, but both survivors have to have a full dedicated build for it and they'll be at risk of being interrupted by the killer.
I will grant it could be a problem, but fully dedicated genrush builds are already vanishingly rare because most people just don't like dedicating their whole build to that one thing.
The perks on their own though, not a problem. In fact, they're kinda bad.

Exactly.
To get some crazy speeds, you need both perks, Prove Thyself and Deja Vu/Resilience, on BOTH survivors.
Meanwhile with Hyperfocus, Stakeout, 1234 and say.. Specialist or Built To Last, you can get about as fast, solo.

Just to make a comparasion.
5% out of 90 is only 4.5 charges saved.
So if you do it with a buddy at 150%, making it 160.
You only complete the gen 9s faster.
On top of all the gen-regression stuff killers get this chapter with the old most likely still spammed on top of it.
This wont make a dent on "genrush"

Vecna is coming with 3 generator perks though?
2 -
it's better after the gens split and when there are 1-2 gens because thwy'll just rush the last 2
1 -
there are 2 of those 5% perks, and the seem to stack, now ad that to the already existing perks, i think a gen could go for 20-25 secs and then add 3-4 BNP to that.
The question is if they are strong enough to counter them? i dont play killer very much so i have not really tested them out.

I don't think they're going to be anywhere near optimal compared to what we already have.
Why would you run two perks to get +10% gen speed when working with another Survivor when you can run Prove Thyself? I don't see the Teamwork Perks getting any sort of use outside of adepts, just more perks for the trash pile.

We're getting gen speed perks so BHVR can enrage people into buying DLC. BHVR releases op Killers and op Surv perks to keep the game in an outrage cycle to fund their studio since all their other games have been flops. The old Killers are obsolete so people are enticed to buy the new Killers to gain an edge, but then there's the paid Surv perks to counteract how the new Killers play, which decimate old Killers.
The game is heavily geared towards Killers who circumvent all game mechanics to get downs in seconds and Survs to play in a SWF and not in SoloQ. What this has created is a game with the worst of both worlds for each side instead of focusing on fun and creating an engaging gameplay experience.

And until then you run a bunch of really bad Perks? Instead of Perks which actually help you to get to the point where you only have 1-2 Gens left?
2 -
I'm not sure if it was said yet, but grouping survivors with gen rush perks have penalty for doing single gen. Also, grouping up is risky. Furthermore, doing single gen isn't profitable for grouping survivors.
2 -
Those new teamwork gen speed perks aren't even good. Prove Thyself is better than both of them
4 -
Killer came with three anti gen perks, two of them being strong and perfect for the meta, but bro is worried about 5% gen speed 😭
4 -
or run the 2 + deja-vu + prove thy self and get an even bigger bonus
now imagine a swf with 4x the 2 new perks+deja-vu, and there is another perk i forgot the name of that gives +5% to anyone you finish a gen with (x3). then 1x prove they self

You could just as easily imagine a SWF with a stacked toolbox and supporting perks build, something in the Built to Last/Deja Vu/Resilience/Prove Thyself vein, and splitting up on generators.
Everyone dedicating all their perks solely to genrushing is already rare, and doing it just so you can group up and do generators in a way that's slower + riskier than the alternative doesn't sound like it'll be any more common.
Possible, yes, but not common and not even optimal for its niche.

This is true to some extent. However, when combined with other gen perks such as deja vu among others and when you think a lot of killers use corrupt to try slow things down (due to gens being too fast in the first place)…. corrupt often means survivors cant get spread out on gens that easy at the start and gen speed perks when added up and combined with toolbox, this can offset the pen thats applied when more than 1 survivor is on the gen. Which means that first gen is going to pop fast. Not exactly helping matters when the reason killers tunnel is due to gens popping fast anyway, just going to push the need to tunnel even further.
1 -
Gen speed isnt too fast. Thats a confirmed killer bias, being unverifiable and ignoring logical reasoning. As well as your "hot take" that regression wouldnt be viable.
-1 -
confirmed? where and when has this been confirmed? by who? im pretty much a survivor main at the moment and even i think gens can pop too fast when people actually do them. its and endless cycle, tunnel fast to beat gen rush….gen rush to beat tunneling….faster side wins, its that simple. Any increase to gen speed will just push the need to tunnel harder.

People are already using the new perks to do gens in 17seconds😭

You think it will stay that? look here :
-1 -
Kind of a waste of a perk slot when you can just run Resi, Deja Vu and still have another perk free.
It's really nothing groundbreaking.
1 -
They dumped like 4 Toolboxes on that, which probably did more of the work.
1 -
If you like being exposed then yes.

I like perks that encourage inefficient bhvr from survivors. let em group up. dbd is more fun with friends.
0 -
I would be completly fine if there is at least a gen speed cap and reworking hyperfocus + stake out
0 -
I was worried about this so I ran Prove thyself + Deja vu + both new Teamwork perks to test this and I legit felt no strong impact to gen speed i saved about 5-10 seconds on a gen with another person which is horribly inefficient.
Spreading out Gens is way better and running Hyperfocus and Stakeout is way better for gen rushing.
0 -
which is why hyperfocus and stakeout needs changes (reworks) and there needs to be a gen speed cap
