Vecna (2) is a big Victory for beHaviours Killer Design
Vecna has been out for a couple of days now, and all I wanna say is, it feels like beHaviour has released a killer as if it had already existed and been polished for over the years.
Especially for killers like Vecna (2), the precise details matter, like the radius of his damage circles, which change it from being a guaranteed hit for a good Vecna without much gameplay for survivors to a fair mindgame edging what is possible when it comes to human reaction time.
Both the basic ranged ability and the ground ability have a hitbox that seem to have been near perfectly polished to allow for dynamic gameplay. Where the ground ability perfectly placed underneath a survivor forces the dodging survivor to have a perfect straight line in case they want to be able to make an escape.
Not only that but Vecna (2) has been designed with the foresight of hook camping, with delayed attacks whenever placed closely around a hooked survivor.
We've seen both good Vecna's dominating with a quick to-down speed, as well as talented survivors being able to put up a strong fight through good participation of Vecna's attacks.
Being that Vecna is now, we as a community sure are still monitoring Vecna's power, and seeing how it plays out in 3 gen situations, or in maps like midwich where he can reach most gens from the middle, but so far Vecna seems to be an abolute Win in killer design by beHaviour and will likely go down as one of the most flawless releases along with other big wins like the Everything Wicked chapter

He is a lot of fun. Infact i really like kaneki, springtrap, vecna. But Krasue and Houndmaster have been awful to play. In general, i just wish original killers were more fun to play.

Yeah you clearly have not played against this killer as a survivor. It's extremely uninteractive and possibly the most broken killer ever released. It downs people faster than nurse AND has more mobility than nurse lmao.

Yep, this is a killer main on the BHVR hamster wheel. I am glad you like the new killer. Now go ahead, and when it comes live, buy it, so when sales are done, you can come back here and complain about how they nerfed him to the ground and feel scammed.
Now do yourself a favor and play survivor for atleast 10 matches in this ptb. The best killers play both roles. Tell me how much fun you're having then and rethink what you just wrote.

He has the ability to damage survivors in a huge radius, through walls, by just clicking on them (i.e. like Nurse, but easier and with smaller delay) and has the best map traversal in the game (something Nurse could never dream of). Yup, nothing wrong with this killer. I'm sure survivors won't give up en masse the moment they see his HUD elements, and it definitely won't be yet another p2w killer dominating every tier list for the next 2 years.

No, I have in fact exclusively played survivor against the killer

I am in fact a survivor main…

I am in fact a survivor main. I have not even played the killer.
It's sad to see this type of close minded mentality3 -
Dude I've just been playing survivor, dodging a constant minefield is so damn fun. I really like this killer.

I hope he's fun to play and to play against. Sadly still no PTB for consoles so what do we know? Just being left out again.

What in the blue hell you talking topic starter? Its one of weakest killers with current power, if he will be released without changes, 1-2 days and everybody stop play him, his perks weak, his power weak, he even can't camping survivor, when gates opened, he wont do anything, if not in mindbreaker world, he just be bullied at gates, his power needs faster recharge, his walking speed needs 4.6 m/s instead 4.4 anf then, maybe, he will be in middle of tier list killers. '
Need remind, how bad was Nightmare on release, when in real world you was totally powerless, its similar.

Unfortunately, it just isn't possible for us to be able to offer it outside of Steam. We really wish everyone could test the PTB, too.

he looks anxiety inducing as a solo as he seems to have noob stomping potential, but he looks fun if you want to get serious about outplaying him. I know for a fact my casual buddies would last literally one second vs him that's kinda scary but making Vecna miss looks like a good workout

He is in high A tier as is the general consensus of the Competitive DBD community, so that is objectively not true

Really? And you've come to the conclusion that he's healthy for the game and balanced?
How exactly is he balanced, if you've played against a half competent one you'd know that ass soon as your within 20 metres of him he will instantly vaporise you.

unstoppable force meets an immovable object, i guess

There have been suggestions to test it in a separate event-style queue. Is that not possible?

I swear the majority of you killers are just looking for easier and easier ways to power trip while actively making the game unfun for the survivors . Vecna is once again a chaseless overpowered killer with a horrible power. They ate catering to the low skilled killer players while we survivors are just slowly getting pushed under the water more and more. Soon there won't he Amy of us willing to play against the majority of you killers for the plain fact it's just unfun and insufferable to even log in sometimes knowing what's waiting for us.

It's hilarous how people are so blinded by their power hunger as killer that they cannot see when killers are too strong, only when they are too weak.

There are two types of players in this game: those who will buy this DLC as soon as it gets out, and those who won't. The first will intentionally advocate for OP stuff, because of course they want ez wins. Since purchased ez wins is the main revenue source for BHVR, devs mainly take their feedback into account, and they would rather push a new DLC killer towards the stronger side, even if the killer is already literally a better Nurse.

Yeah its absolutely crazy.
New killers used to be advertised on their unique powers, mechanics and high skill and interactive gameplay. Infact many killers used to take months before people worked out their true power potential.
Now the better and more noob friendlt the power, the better the sales.
