I am sadly collector, so I even bought the huntmaster even tho I refuse to ever play her.
His perks are quite good, so that's kinda good enough reason to buy him and I definetly want survivors too, so DLC it is.

I mean, it depends if he is boring to play, if he is fun to play that's all I need.
I'm not needing the strongest killer in the game to have fun, I just want something that matches the fantasy of the character.
That's why I hate the S-Tiers, because it attracts a specific kind of person, they want to win above all else.5 -
In fact it is exactly why I'm not buying him, cause I KNOW they will do something like that. Right now on PTB he is actually fun to play, but also a high skill ceiling. It requires both sides to make some good reads on each other. But since survivor voices always seem to be louder, I alrdy know, just like they did every other killer in the last 2-3 years, they will gutter nerf them.

I'll probably mooch off of my friend who buys all the Killers.
But the Killer being nerfed means little to me. If you buy a Killer because they are OP, like Krasue, then you set yourself up for disappointment.

Pretty much this. People bought Krasue because she was busted on release, not because she is fun. Now that she is nerfed you barely see her, because she is weaker (but still good, A-Tier Killer), but she is still not fun to play.

I hope w he wont get nerfed super hard like chucky did over time and that his perks wont get "adjusted" to point they arent that good to use just like sadako but best thing is to wait because first half of the month there will be huge Vecna mania so either wait 10+ minutes in queue times as killer for game or just play survivor because you will have game in 2 minutes with loading into match included.
He will eventualy get some nerfs but i hope he wont end up like another harmless.

Tbh its pretty clear pattern that still repeats like dracula,ghoul,krasue, chucky before just some killers are lately released super strong (stronger than in ptb) and than nerfed some time later. Personaly Im not so optimistic in this to expect some of these killers stay that strong too long or dont recieve adequat nerfs like blight (hug tech but even without it he still rules and addons that are broken beyond nurse, how long he was that busted like almost two years which I bet is record if we exclude nurse that got more bigger nerfs both to her power and addons unlike blight) I just wanted her in my collection unless its licence killer that I dont find fun or atleast have good perks or I already have them just like pig.
He will probably end up as springtrap I think but we cant realy know how will devs react and change him because even after so many years they still sometimes make very unpredictiable change that is bit overdone even with many years of experience like billys overheat,chucky,merchant, fog vials etc..

Depends if he'll deserve it like krasue did. Assuming they don't disgustingly overbuff what is already a strong killer on the ptb like they did with krasue this won't happen again anyways

Absolutely. My rule for any game (and I encourage you to do the same) is to play the character that first catches your eye, or has a playstyle that you enjoy. Never buy or play a character purely for their strength, you are setting yourself up for disappointment/frustration when the character is inevitably going to be changed. This isnt something unique to dbd, it happens in every live service game.
That being said I am someone who buys every killer on release day, but I genuinely enjoyed this killer compared to the last few releases. Great power, great aesthetics, and I cant wait for him to reach live

yeah, i like him a lot.
Problem with Krasue is that her infection and the potential to put the mushroom economy in your favour was the only interesting thing, but it also highly encouraged tunelling, so it was basically removed. Now there is nothing interesting about playing her… she is the least interactive killer in the game imo for both sides. She's good at downing isolated survivors but if you get body blocked you are probably just gonna lose it's that simple1 -
What do you mean? Krasue still has an insane chase ability plus truck sized hitboxed that hits after a vault

Krasue is still very strong. She just doesn't have anything mechanical that is particularly unique. She turned out to be a killer with pretty limited skill expression, which leads to players dropping the new shiny thing pretty fast. The exception seems to be if the killer is overtuned and ridiculously easy to play. Something like OG Chucky or OG/Current-ish Kaneki.

Why would they nerf Vecna though. He is not overpowered. Nobody's gonna buy henry for being overpowered because he isn't. Krasue was better and easier than nurse and blight during her release. Vecna is A-C tier depending on player's skill. They have no reason to nerf vecna except maybe the cooldown by a second. Whoever buys vecna on release because they think he's op should instead buy the ghoul. Ghoul is far easier to play than vecna, even though he's not that overpowered but still one of the best.

I got krasue cuz i thought she was fun lol didnt find out she was busted till after release. I still play her tho. Not many dcs or ppl giving up anymore since she is rare

Problem with vecna’s design here is that if he’s bad he’s probably gonna be boring too. There are bad or mediocre killers with fun gameplay like trapper, pig, legion. Imagine if they made blight bad by nerfing his tokens to 3 or his speed. He would be boring and bad. Vecna’s power is one of the most skillful, maybe the most skillful in the entire game so if devs make him bad then you will probably be frustrated not getting anything done rather than having fun with a weak killer like trapper.

Depends on the gravity of the nerfs, but so long as it isn't like the first iteration of the Myers rework he should be in an A-B tier state imo.
The perks are solid enough to warrant picking it up as well. While I'm not happy with the current state of the game, I'll take getting new content that is both polished and fun. I dunno if it's good luck on my part, but I have yet to see a bug with Vecna's power or animations, only the usual mori camera weirdness.

If they would just reduced blights tokens to 3 he would be still in top 10 killers because he would be just better chucky or wesker at this point, thats how good his power realy is so unless they nerf it in multiple ways he will be still very strong as killer.
Fun part highly depends on each individual like someone finds trapper or trap killers fun and other finds them super boring and just like zooming around the map with wraith or ghoul more because they just dont set traps but are pure action all the time. Another thing is even that trapper is fun (for me I used to main him back then) the fun part is totally shadowed by the fact how missareable he feels the majority of the match, the helplesness is realy huge thing here and even good plays with him can get you nothing compare to killer like huntress when she hit good shot its good feeling but good result to but trapper? He can get trap and survivor just escapes first try and loops him for another minute because thats what he only has traps.

Like all the survivors can do against her to totaly denny her is just to send someone to bodyblock her as head and force her to go into m1 and infect them and than again and she gets slowed super bad which isnt fun for anyone playing killer, being hellpless to injure survivors thats why most dont play her not to mention her mobility is bad now too and only thing she excels in is being good in 1v1 (not best but still she is good in 1v1 situations but when survviors pull bodyblocking and some good macro play she is just slow sompare to kaneki now).

Do you remember hillbilly when he had the overheat nerf for a bit? He was both bad and weaker at that time. This is what I mean. If they reduce blight or nurse's power then it'll probably result in them being more boring because they are skill expressive killers and nerfing them means nerfing the skill expressiveness.

As someone who has bought new killers day 1 they come out, I still do not own Krasue on principle.

I makes them bad I agree. The billy overheat was out of mind because what killer should get punished by using his power even when his power isnt that op and back than he was dependend highly on speed addons.
Im still thinking blight would be still second best even if he was 110 speed killer because if they dont nerf him hard he will still be solid but in my opinion he should be strong due to him being fun partly for both sides and because of his power being hard but some nerfs are still needed for him.

I would, sure.
Most of that is that I'm largely interested in his perks, he isn't the kind of killer I really enjoy playing, but also to be fair I could see him getting a few reasonable nerfs and still 100% being worth playing. He's not exactly weak on this PTB.

I mean, in the end, fun is subjective. There are obviously people who find her fun to play, but I think that the majority find her pretty boring to play and many of those only played her, because she was busted.
I got her on Release Day as well (even tho, for Shards), but I dont really play her, because I really dont like her. She might be the one Killer I will never bring to P9 and never do the Achievements for.
