What is a feature that you’d want in DBD?
i’d honestly appreciate it if there was a option to toggle projectile arcs like help wanted ad. But this is just because I have trouble remembering where my axe will end up but that’s just a me thing I guess. What about the features that you would want?

For an aiming projectiles ive tried this thing where i cut out a tiny square from a sticky note, throw the hatchet/knives at a wall, and where it hits, i stick the square to the screen. Which gives you an actual crosshair lol.
Aside from that i would love if theyd stop making cosplays without the legendary character alredy existing. Its quite the sucker punch to have only half of your favorite character in the game.

honestly, I agree with this. The only real downside is the Feng players are going to starve. It’s pretty much gonna be that one episode of SpongeBob where Patrick thought he stole his chocolate bar after he already ate it.

i want to know why i was put into each game. like why am i put into a game with a 10,000 hour p100 nurse who claims to be a comp player when i'm queuing with my friend who has less than 100 hours in the game. like i'd want commentary on what part of the matchmaking algorithm thought that made any sense.

Replay Hub. If you've tried Street Fighter 6, they have this cool feature where you can watch your own games, your friends' and random players' matches. It shows their movements as well. Watching replays is arguably the best way to improve, and I feel like DBD is missing a tool that could help players get better faster. I've noticed that watching other players, or rewatching my games, helps me understand what I'm missing and recognize mistakes I wouldn't notice otherwise.
For example, even after a thousand hours playing, I wasn't sure whether a narrow wall could actually help me gain distance. In practice, it's hard to learn when there's no clear explanation as to why something doesn't work. Even today, I still struggle with certain tiles, and I wish there was a feature that would let me memorize the correct way to run them, or just rewatch my matches to spot mistakes and know what to avoid next time.5 -

A basekit aiming reticle, since PC players can easily just add one with 3rd-party software but console players (who already have a general disadvantage on aim-reliant Killers) can’t.

I will get another load of downvotes for stating it, but still here it is: because you can find lobby in a few seconds for one role. In games like deadlock, with more rigid matchmaking, it can take up to 20 minutes to find a game of your rank. So it's pick your poison situation, and I'm sure you will be more mad if you have to wait longer for a "better" match, because there are only so many players of your skill level that are queuing at the same time with you in your region.
The main thing that should be changed is making it actually skill based, and not escape based, or reverting it back to rank-based, but the problem will stay the same (e.g. rainbow ranks from the past)

i mean i refuse to believe that the difference in preventing a 10,000 hour player from playing with a player with 100 hours takes us from insta-queue to 30 minute queue. now i know that's not what you're saying, but it is the argument you've made. lol

Cleaner survivor cosmetics like the new Nancy (forget about how accurate she looks its not about that) they removed the dirt off her hands and neck and it looks much better, do this for all my favourite characters, its much more enticing to get nice looking cosmetics, not ones covered in dirt. Leave that to in game effects.

No DC penalty. There are bots in the game, let the bots play. I play the PTB, where there is no DC penalty and it doesn't ruin matches. The game is overall a better play. No DC penalty would also police the game way better than BHVR ever could, so Killers and Survs who want to play as toxic as possible will be playing against bots, as they should.

I've got most of the features that I'd like to see in the game already.
The big one I would have liked to have seen is the anti-tunnel and anti-slug systems come into the game (along with the comeback mechanic for Survivors that suffer an early exit), but I've realise that's never going to happen now. Slugging and tunnelling just aren't viewed as terrible flaws to the game's design by much of the player base. The message I got from that sorry chapter of DBD history is if you don't like those things, you should play some other game (which is mostly what I've been doing since the last 2V8).
Besides that, I would like vault perks to interact with Legion's Frenzy power. This is also probably never gonna happen so I guess I'll just have to hope BHVR breaks Fire Up again. Not sure that counts as a feature but still, something I'd like to see.
I'd also like accessories for skins to be unequippable / optional. They can cause clipping issues and ruin an otherwise appealing cosmetic (love Haddie's t-shirt with the cute little ghost design but the oversized backpack that comes with it, not so much).

Anti Tunnel that helps the killer, as well as anti camp to help them.
(I.E. No survivors, you cannot rush 3 gens at once, also you will be blocked from unhooking for the first 15-25 seconds a survivor is on the hook so killers are encouraged to search for you and survivors within 28 metres of a hook are revealed to the killer and given blindness for 8 seconds)0 -
Honestly, I weirdly enough think the solution for anti-tunnel is to not give the survivors 15 different protections, but rather give killers an incentive to not do it to begin with.

I've already made several threads suggesting this over the years, but inventory management.
Sure, it is possible to play 200+ matches in a month to get rid of all my Haddonfield keys before they are retired, but that is so exhausting. I would much rather just throw that stuff away and be done with it.

I think it would be really cool for killers to be able to hide in lockers as well. Also more environmental interaction and ambiance. I think it would make the game feel scarier.

as a gameplay mechanic for all killers I really doubt that will happen because you tell me how the hell nemesis is gonna fit in there, but I would really like to see a stealth killer that can do that. maybe in an upcoming ghostface rework?

i want a hardcore mode, or settings that allow me to remove the whole in-game interface as well as turning off auras so that as killer i can have just plain gameplay with no nothing, even auras perk won't work for me. i even trying to do the play darker brightness then recommended which i gotta go back to…. meaning i just that type of extra stuff, lower brightness is so good, it hard as to why i highed it up more, imma lower it next time i turn on, lower brightness 1 under recommended and those settings to come would be nice…. take my scratch marks too. dark blood tracking is cool. what i want.

More unique map based interactions like the Steam Pipe Trap on the Nostromo Wreckage.
The resident evil map could have the Herbs like the one 2v8 event.
Silent hill could have the Nurses or something walking around.
The Saw map could have players interact with Jigsaw and play games

An option to toggle visible hit boxes.
So I can actually see how big or small things are without having to guesstimate.
Also if you're hit by a projectile, it would be nice if an outline of the intersecting hit boxes lingered in the environment for a second, that way you can see what happened & how with no ambiguity.

See the perks loadout of everyone in the lobby.
If they want to dodge, let them, let survivors be able to control who they play with, they already can do that with swfs, i dont see why they cant do it while as soloq
I would very much love for everyone to be able to adjust and talk (including console) about their builds and change their items or perks if they need to.
For example, if everyone has a healing build and everyone sees it, it would be ideal to switch off for more variety.
Or what if 2 people have deliverance?, you could have both of them have it, but its near impossible to achieve.
It would be such a huge Qol that would give survivors a more pleasurable experince instead of dcing or giving up because someone used no mither but they wanted to win.

Too many to list but a replay feature would have been great. Be it for detecting potential cheaters or simply analyzing your gameplay or the ones of your teammates/opponents. More realistically, a "salvaging" system where items, offerings etc can be recycled into BPs and maybe shards as well. I know that such system was considered by the devs before the game even released in 2016 so it's surprising that it still isn't a thing.

replay feature would be cool…. also seeing replay made me think of a rematch feature, where we can only play maximum of 3 rematches but that 3rd can only be a tie breaker, so if you lose that 2nd rematch means automatically no 3rd rematch, also all players have to take part in the rematch so like they have to all load in for the rematch, if even one bots out in second match then no 3rd match tie breaker would be if would be because all wouldn't be there.
"i know what i mean, i hope i typed it out to be understand good enough" sometimes i go against a squad or just 4 people, and like we have fun, almost sad that it ends until next match, would be cool to have an opportunity to have a rematch at times, with just straight dbd playing, a typical match them trying leave, i ain't trying to farm or anything but yeah. with a way for it like mention with maximum 3 rematches in said way, i think could work.

What i want the most in dbd?
1, balanced maps for both sides.
2, better servers (fix the dsync hits).
3, no aura perks(use perks similar to spies from the shadow instead).
4, bigger maps, (bring back stealth).
5, separate 3gens from each other due to bigger maps(then remove the gen kick limiations).
6, Balance killers to be on similar tier field(not overpowered like blights and not weak trappers.
7, improve the anticheat and matchmaking(and show us the mmr level+rseasonal rank rewards).
8, nerf broken perks every 2 week(and buff weak perks every 2 week).
9, make ping system for communication(u could also add voice coms with option to mute players in game).
10,make in game recording system where u can review ur last 3-10 games while seeing all of the players perspective.
11, sacrificial ward should have brown offering for 25% to cancel map offering, and Purple for 75% chance to cancel map offering.
12, map offerings have 50% chance to get u to ur desired map(make maps stack to 2 people only).
13, Increase FPS cap to the highest level possible, this is 2026, next year is 2027, people already have powerful computers, make them useful and not wasted on low 120fps game.
14, Make Custom match available without the need of a bot for both sides so people can experiment(will help finding game breaking bugs and such to be taken care of and also will be great for practice overall).
15, u can make separate rank mode and casual mode, in rank mode u will be limited to yellow items/addons and perk limited per season.
16, if players are using the same outfits their outfits should by default change colors in the game lobby in rank play only where u wont have to select different characters to play the game( this way people could choose to play their favorite characters ).
17, make all items gain on survivors to be shared with all of their survivors.
18, unlock all perks to be viable for store purchase with in game shards without the requirement to unlock a certain character/killer.
19, focus on keeping the game as free of bugs as much as possible before getting it from ptb to live.
20, make more fun emotes in the game beside pressing 1-2 to come and go.
21, make characters have unique voices where they can talk mid chase and in game overall(with option to mute the voicelines).
22, show the perks of the teammates in the lobby and in game when pressing tab, include their cooldown while in game.
23, remove the free unhook when the killer is too close, just make gens slightly faster if the killer camp.
24, if all the above came to live then u can rework shoulder the burden perk cause it wont be needed.
this is a lot to ask for but if everything i wrote were to be in the game, the game will be 100 times better.

i also believe Hillbilly should be base kit cracked primer forever, remove 1 hit down saw… 1 hit saw done is so boring, and i want feature so bad…. actually makes me want to get on and get one and one hit down in protest, till then get bored after one match of it. honestly too, idc if it make people mad if were to happen, Real Hillbillies out here no stress. i think the listed features i mentioned are about it. "i always think of stuff tho" Hardcore mode, no auras whatsoever and no hud whatsoever, or pop ups of any sort is my main wanted feature. Nerf billy, i miss the overheat feature nerf billy had… i didn't even have time to work in the overheat to getting use to it, baby wannabe billies whine about billy, real ones have fun and never mad.
