Hyperfocus Likely Overtuned
I have seen a YouTube video from a well known player that lost to Hyperfocus and guessed that the survivors were cheating. I also saw a Spirit player lose their win streak to Hyperfocus, then assume the survivors were cheating. So the Spirit player chose not to end their streak, because they assumed the survivors were cheating. It seems like this perk causes unstoppable generator repairs when great skills checks are obtained. In other words, Hyperfocus seems to cause unwinnable matches for killers. Is this supposed to be the intended purpose?

The reason they suspect cheats is because Hyperfocus is a cheater’s dream perk. Are they just cracked at hitting increasingly difficult skill checks, or are they just using a script that automatically hits great skill checks for them? It’s especially suspicious when it’s run outside of the typical gen jockey build with Stakeout etc.

Hyperfocus is just too good at and players who run it should be investigated cause every cheater uses the perk to cover there cheating at gen speeds

As a rebecca main i always just run her 3 perks + stakeout, with a skillcheck medkit. I feel it helps more with healing than gen rushing. Unless paired with the bard perk.

Honestly, HF is a decent perk if you're good at the game. But even hitting almost all of the skill checks (no, you do not have to cheat to do this) isn't giving a HUGE boost to gen progression.
I remember my doubts when the perk first released but honestly it's one of my favorites now. High skill, medium impact that feels good but not oppressive.

Nerfing HF because of cheaters, they'll just find a new way to cheat?
That's like saying they are using toolboxes infinitely so nerf toolboxes, how can you prove it?
The issue is EAC, they need better anti-cheat, not perk nerfs.4 -
Yes, 100%.
