I couldn't imagine being survivor in chaos shuffle and NOT expecting tunneling, slugging and camping
I main survivor. And even I load up into every chaos shuffle match fully expecting there to be slugs, running back to hook and tunneling. Because it's chaos shuffle. The killer doesn't have a full slow down build, aura build, a complimentary build to their killer. So they're entire strategy they built around their killer and their unique powers/abilities is gone. Not everybody has the skillset to beat survivors through sheer skill alone on a terrible perk load out. Not everybody has the time or dedication level for that. And I don't expect them to.
What I expect is for killers in shuffle mode to see gens flying (or know they're gonna start flying) and immediately go into catch up mode, running back to hook, tunneling and trying to slug out the match. I ain't even mad anymore. I'm just gonna come in, get my challenges done and get back to playing regular 1v4.
I use to play killer a lot more back in the day. And I cringe when I remember having some difficult matches with survivors bagging, nodding and staring at me over pallets after every missed swing. If I were a killer playing chaos shuffle, with a trash load out and terrible add ons, I'd probably be tempted to run back to hook, too.

indeed, i played a few survivor matches and it is way easier imo… no pain res, no corrupt. Pain res can be annoying when people go down in seconds one after another blowing the gen of the 1 person doing a gen which can be common in soloq. without that to worry about, i have been flying through the gens. i still bring a toolbox and even the worst add ons still mean i can crank gens pretty fast.

Honestly at this point I don’t think you should ever not expect tunneling or slugging as survivor, regardless of the game mode.

I'm not sure why they'd even play the mode if they're that dependent on perks.

I've only played survivor in CS so far and haven't had a single tunnelling killer. My games have actually been really chill, no one sweating. It's been nice.

Just played a few games on chaos shuffle getting tunnelled out at 5 gens. I'm guessing the killer got a 4K and tunnelled because they didn't have their catered builds and needed to do it?
The justification is always wild.

How unlucky that it's only and exclusively killers that get off-meta builds!

Really? I've played one game on a launch day.
We played a chill 3 man swf with not experienced player, who comes to play with us sometimes.
That match went terribly - our least experienced player got tunneled out immidiately and the game was lost at this point.
It wasn't enjoyable at all and we booted different game, didn't come back since.
I have no interest in playing 3v1 and waiting 4 minutes for that in lobby

Oh that sucks. Yeah mine have been fine. I just played 4 more games and in one game I got slugged for the 4k (but hatch spawned in front of me lol), and that was pretty much my only complaint. But even that game was fine up until then.

Why would the gens be flying in Chaos Shuffle?
The survivors don't have reliable access to any of the tools they'd use to crank out gens, they're reliant on pretty much just default repair speed if they don't get particularly lucky. In this variation you can't even compensate by bringing in a stacked toolbox, since the variant and addons are randomised.
If anything gens should be slower in Chaos Shuffle, surely?
