Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Is losers queue a real thing in dbd?

image.png

I got put with two megs, one that died opening a chest with deep wounds, and the other who sat on a generator and got pulled off by the killer. I never see survivors like this when im playing killer.

Does BHVR intentionally put you with bad team mates to make you lose more often?

Matchmaking does feel like EBMM at times. I am curious to know if your team stomped the killer in the last few games in a row before this match.

It used to be like this but now with mmr you will get people more around your mmr level (so better ones) but not always there are people viable close to your level so the game will queue you with someone little worse to dont hold you in lobby for tens of minutes.

This depends on modes like now chaos shuffle and simular modes has this lowered or turned away so you can play against team of megheads that togeather have under 1000 hours while you are nurse main with 4k hours.

Plaing in swf too matches you around the best member of your swf so if you have 6k hours and you play with your friend who has less than 40 you will play agaisnt killers that are around your level and not his.

i'd say 100% this is the case. whether it's intentional or just a design flaw in the matchmaking i'm not sure. but the game knows how to put you with teammates who are capable, and it knows how to put you with teammates who aren't. it's a lot different than just being in "low mmr" and "high mmr." escaping matches doesn't generally lead to you being matched with better players, rather it usually just leads to you being matched with worse teammates. and honestly when you feel like you're in this "losers queue" as you've defined it you should consider using an end-game build and simply plan on your team dying; take advantage of perks like clairvoyance and sole survivor.

The number definitely seems to be 5 if you're solo queueing. You're not going to escape more than 5 games in a row, in my experience. There's a very hard stop put at 5 games. People will be dead at 4 gens in the 6th game. I could be way off base, but trials often feel very contrived, like they're matchmaking for an outcome and not a good match.

All of those opinions are just assumptions. Until MMR is made visible, there’s nothing I can trust. Especially when it comes to this developer…
