Can we revert clown already
All the changes to him were entirely unneeded and he was one of the few perfectly balanced killers before you randomly ruined him in the walking dead chapter decreasing the skill required to play him massively and nerfing him overall

Spamming purple bottles at your target till you hit them with an M1 isn´t really perfectly balanced. Neither is the counterplay to predrop pallets. It gets kinda uninteractive…
I think "If" BHVR intended what happend to speed clown was showing the community that some things should never stack together even it is "fun" for some people.
I often read in this forum that Survivors never get good perks and this is true but it could be changed in my opinion if some perks couldn´t stack.
Becareful just an example: If healing perks wouldn´t stack with each other you could go crazy with single perks. Imagine a perk where you get 300% selfcare speed if you got unhooked or something like that. But this perk couldn´t become reality since you could sttack it with a medkit, botany and others to heal so fast, that the whipping cd of an M1 would be longer than the heal.

You can't use sub par gameplay as an example of standard play.
That's like saying Hillbilly is a terribly balanced killer because it takes too long to walk from point A to point B, & the chainsaw takes too long to break pallets.

The top clown main Arinad talked about t his alot. Basically the old version of clown the speed up bottles were hard to use and didn't give as big of an impact as the slow bottles so people would often ignore them leading to a bunch of problems with it, so they made them easier to use and buffed them. Then they buffed them too much to the point that the slow bottles were useless and you instead only used slow bottles.
Then they tweaked the numbers slightly so the speedup bottles are a little better than they were, and the slowdown bottles are a little worse than before. Resulting in exactly what BHVR wanted, to make clown a little bit easier to play and give him a slight buff.

The Antidotes unambiguously had a bigger impact than the Tonics, they were harder to use because they were the better bottle.
The average player failing to understand this is not a valid justification for nerfing an already measly character.

Honestly after the delayed antidote returning I've not had an issue playing against him anymore. Sure haste clown is scary af, but I've come to appreciate him more.
I don't think he needs nerfed, he'll be fine when they finally find a decent solution to tunneling, coz that's where it is oppressive if anything.-2 -
Clown's kind of a pubstompy Killer that becomes basically useless at max MMR if you aren't an insane Clown Scholar like Arinad. If you don't know how to play around his bottles he's very nasty in the 1v1 (especially for newer/weaker Survivors with bad pathing and map knowledge) but his absolute lack of macro/map pressure and the fact that you can in many cases outplay his bottles if the setup for them isn't pixel-perfect means he drops off hard at higher levels. Yes, you may sometimes get a quick injury or catch someone out of position, but it doesn't matter if you lose 3 generators for free in the process.
I'm a bad Survivor and don't have a great escape rate versus Clown– not that I even see him very often, which makes it even harder to learn/practise against him, in itself a contributing factor in his 'noobstompyness'– but being a more proficient Killer I realise that to make him work at my MMR requires a surprising deal of knowledge and mechanical skill, a lack of co-ordination among Survivors and/or the scummiest tactics you can call upon. Not being mechanically gifted nor particularly inclined to tunnelling from the get-go with 4 slowdown perks, on the occasions I play Clown, I mainly succeed when Survivors screw up. Not my idea of a good time and probably not hte Survivors' either.
The original speed-Clown changes would have been less egregious if BHVR had stuck to their guns over haste perks not stacking but whatever, that ship has sailed. Clown isn't over or under-performing statistically as far as I know so it's not like he's going to get any significant changes, even if he actually needs them.
