Does Abandon manipulate stats negatively?
With Abandon, stats are artificially skewed. It seems that, at least through the Stat tracker, the abandoned trials are completely discarded. Characters I'm certain that have abandoned hundreds of trials are listed as having played significantly less. It does not alter my pick rate, hours played, or even bloodpoints earned.
I am foreseeing millions if not billions of "ghost/unaccounted" bloodpoints during this year's Blood Moon. Will this be amended; is it even tracked in the backend? Or does this leave longterm accounts with questionable legitimacy of progression?
Steam and Xbox continue to track the bloodpoints earned stats, however PS 4+5, Switch, Windows, and Epic do not have public or personal leaderboards.

depends on what stats. For the stats tracker, abandons voids the match but you keep the rewards you earned such as BP. A void match is neither a win or loss or draw, it simply never even happened. So someone that abandons 9/10 matches but escapes 1/10 will have 100% escape rate based on escaping 1/1 matches due to the other 9 being void. Apparently abandons also dont count for MMR so technically abandoning a match when the option is available will not gain or lose MMR keeping it neutral….no different to the hatch except the hatch also counts as an escape on the stats tracker.
As for BHVR internal stats…. the only thing we have been told is the stats BHVR uses are different to the stats on the stats tracker. What this could mean is anyone's guess and after months of people asking for clarification on the matter, still no clarification.

Honestly, don’t expect anything from BHVR anymore lol.

What we know: the stats on the tracker are kinda useless if you abandon.
What we dont know: is there are real tracker in the background, will it ever get changed, how does it affect mmr

Yes. On your stat tracker it's marked as an escape

They have stated that they have internal trackers that track a lot of stuff the public one does not so yes there is one in the background. MMR is not effected by matches you abandon in.

The player facing stat tracker doesn't count abandons correctly. The stats the devs use contain basically all data from the matches in a database so whether it's counting the abandons "correctly" depends entirely on how the devs are choosing to interpret that data. If they're doing it the same as the player facing stat tracker then it has the same problem but if they're doing it differently then it doesn't

BHVR hasn’t told us anything despite people frequently asking this question, so nobody really knows.
