Chucky is power crept by Michael
I can't even believe thats a sentence i even had to type but this has been bothering me since the Shape's rework. Michael now does everything that chucky can do but better. Chucky can make himself undetectable but it only lasts for a certain duration, while Shape can just push a button and he gets all the undetectable he wants. Chucky can sprint forward to hit someone, well Shape can do the exact same thing but Shape's dash is a instadown and he can break pallets with it while chucky has to equip an addon to do that. The only advantage Chucky has on Shape is that his dash can make him jump over a window during his dash which is not that great considering Chuckys dash controls like a drunk rhino. So i ask you BHVR why? Why did you take michael myers and just make him chucky but better? It shouldnt have been this way, was it that hard to just gigabuff him to atleast mid to high c tier in his old state before you lost his license? Shapes identity is gone because you gave him Chucky's identity instead.

There is definitely some bad crossover between some killer powers. The only advantage Chucky as over Micheal is his size. He's pretty hard to see, especially when undetectable, and being third person is also a massive advantage.
Michael is better of course, but Chucky is still somewhat decent despite that and has his own unique advantages.

Chucky's main thing was Scamper.
It's not nice, nor satisfying, but it was. So logically taking it out was going to tank him.
As for Myers, well, I feel like the problem would be lesser if he actually had to commit more than 5 seconds to get to his Tier 3.

don't forget that Chucky has anti synergy with Undetectable, so his undetectable is worth less than Myers

"was it that hard to just gigabuff him to atleast mid to high c tier in his old state"
That would be new Myers with Tuft of hairs. No dash, but better usage of his modes, small number buffs for T3 and T3, etc.
People would complain that the rework wasnt good enough and he needs more.

The problem was the first version from the rework had very little added things and many things like faster vaulting were just things he already had before rework and only increased lunge and stun recovery in persuer mode were new plus for stalker mode the lunge that was full and evil incarnate mode had only new mori survivors dead on hook and strike plus new was 40 meters of terror radius and for persuer 24 meters tr instead of 16, slaughtering strike had very low and restricted turn rate which was worse than any other killer like even billy was easier to get hits with than with mayers strike (all survvior had to do was just running around some round object and you were cooked because you couldnt turn it around for hit which wasnt fun and super bad).
That was mayers after rework just worse tier 3 and some buffs and yeah stalker mode had full lunge but he was 105 speed not 110 so its worse for getting grabs and stalking range got reduced from 40 meters to 32.
He needed some help because that rework did somethign better but some things way worse like stealth gameplay of mayers and his tier 3.

As you say chuckys speciality was scamper and he had better speed while dashing which both of these things get reduced to what we have now.
For stalking i think its 5 seconds only if he is standing still while stalking you and 6,6666 seconds if he is moving plus some seconds more if survivor blocks los which is common thing used before his rework.

Well I loved the old Myers so my opinion might be bias but… it is scary how fast he can regain his T3 after losing it.

No, i meant:
Myers right now with Tuft of Hair as basekit. This version would be not good enough for most people.

Yeah dont ask me why chucky got this treatment but ghoul didnt.
"Hey we know you dont like free injuries, so we did it again AND added blights power with it!"
And everyone is somehow still confused why ppl dc against him....hmm...i wonder why.
Naw, must be a skill issue.

First thing we can do to make Chucky more unique his regular slice and dice and when he dashes over a vault or pallet while in slice and dice should have no turn rate restrictions. That way he can have more opportunities to get the survivor
1 -
Bring back manual scamper for Chucky if they won't get rid of it for Ghoul and Krasue then Chucky should regain his.
3 -
I think he had this till his second nerf where they gutted his turn rate after scampering (I think they gutted 180 flick too with this update) and now if survvior runs in straight line infront of pallet/window you scampered you can hit them but countering scamper is easy and not many loops have narrow spaces where it is hard to doge but still even in those small places where is super hard to doge like gideon basement god pallet you can still vault pallet into dashing chucky and he will still vault with scamper or you can stay on the endge of the droped pallet crouched and he will fly further and wont hit you due to turn limit and no time for turning which is what good survivors know and thats why scamper works rarely on them.

If his lunge was increased like +50% or more like 70% and he would break pallets with hitting them in evil incarnate mode with his m1 lunge like he does now with strike and all his buffs he has now would stay I wouldnt be mad (old mayers had 20 or 25% longer lunge in tier 3 which wasnt much because everyone predroped and this cooked him way more than bubba).

Or maybe having a fully controllable instadown gigalunge for 60 seconds with a 3 second recharge isn't fair after killers cried to get every pallet turned back into a death trap
-3 -
well, people wanted tombstone gone….they got their wish lol. Tomstone gone and now we have this abomination….
-1 -
Advantage maybe, massive? Nah. Shape outclasses in every way and let's not forget chucky is a 110 killer
0 -
Y'know shape in stealth moves at 105% right?
3 -
Every pallet isnt death trap just the ones that make you zoned like the edge ones, also as survivor xou can use some pallets that are zoning you like the edge ones if you throw it when killer is at the closer end of the map and you are on the side that leads to centre of the map. Smart killers wont let you but that doesnt mean you cant make the wait more by waiting at the pallet or greeding (you must guess right which aproach will the killer use if he goes head on into those pallets or he respects them) them.
Mayers strike still isnt that good when you have some distance between you and mikey and you hug loop well (his larger character model looses more distance when going around loop even if he hugs it which is harder when he is in his fast strike speed), distance is key against him plus awareness. He is strong in chase but weak at pushing more places at once or in short time because of him having no mobility which is why billy or oni beat him in.

He basicaly is slover by 5% and as compensation has full lunge in stalker mode (tier one) there is addon that makes him 110 speed I think.

Its not as if Chucky has nothing, and being third person with a small size is a massive advantage because no other killer has that advantage.
3 -
Third person is huge advantage especialy if you can moon walk like with base speed and he can do it to some degree with slice and dice charge which is something like draculas wolf cant do and its super easy to see the difference.
I think chucky even when he is 110 speed has like same character model thickness as survivor so he doesnt loose so much dostance as other 110 killers which is huge thing too if this is true (loosing distance on loops when he hugs them).

I think the worst crossover between killer powers is still Dracula X Demogorgon.
I mean, Chucky feels outclassed by Michael in a few aspects, but his combination of small size and third person is still pretty strong and unique. But Demo and Dracula? Everything Demo's power can do, Dracula can do better. The only thing that allows demo to do some stuff of its own are its add-ons, but most of Dracula's add-ons still outclass Demo's, lol.4 -
Even if you compare demo to springtrap you can clearly see how outdated demo realy is they both have some antiloop chase power (spring fire axe and demo his shread) I would argue that axe is stronger but harder to use than shread, they both have teleport ability only difference is demo has to set his tps compare to springtrap who has his doors already set which makes his early game much better compare to demo whose tps should be way stronger due to being limited by count and that he must waste time to set them up and the oblivious effect? Demo has 5 seconds and every survivors knows with global sound cue when he is using his portals and springtrap? Springtrap has stealthy tp through doors and 15 seconds of oblivious effect which is three times more so even if you look at these two you can clearly see how much big of difference is there between them not to mention compare c-tier demo against high a-tier (probably one in top 5 strongest killers which majority of DBD community would agree on I believe) there is huge difference but one thing I have to say about drac, comparing him to killer like ghoul he has to way more earn his hits with hellfire or wolfs dash because they are easier to doge especialy in open and his zoning potencial with them now is no longer so good as it used to be.

Fr Krasue is 10% faster than Chucky but they still gave her the Scamper mechanic after removing it from him for being too strong.
If increasing the time it takes to vault a pallet was the only change that Scamper needed, why wasn't this done for him?
3 -
Yeah, Springtrap's doors feel like a much better version of Demo's portals. Always placed, can't be removed, located near gens, way more quiet, the undetectable is longer, and there is no cooldown for going through them. Demo really could use a buff.
1 -
Yeah, and funny enough, while Krasue is still realy strong, her pallet vaulting kinda sucks because of how long it takes. Chucky, being even slower, could perhaps scamper a little slower when not dashing and it would have been fine. The only reason could see for the devs not to do that is because they base the balancing around kill rates, and Chucky is way easier to play than Krasue, which means he probably has a higher kill rate or at least had it much higher before his nerfs.

Yeah, and Demo's only really has THREE add-ons that allow it to do something Dracula can't. Both his Iris and Eleven's Soda, which turns generator auras yellow while teleporting if survivors are working on them. All the others are either completely outclassed by Dracula's add-ons (like, ONE of Dracula's blue add-ons outclasses ALL of Demo's chase add-ons, which are just two brown add-ons and two green for some reason, even though two of them are among Demo's BEST add-ons), or they just reduce some weakness Demo has and Dracula already doesn't (like… increase number of portals? Increase portal placing speed? Decrease the Dracula doesn't even need portals), or are just outright garbage (60 second of blindness if they run through portals? ONE extra second of undetectable? Come on…).
And indeed, I see no reason to play Demo anymore. Maybe I'll do it at some point if I miss hearing his sound design while playing, his screams after hitting survivors are really cool and all, but I still prefer playing the guy that does everything he does and also has a bunch of additional strong and fun abilities.
It also doesn't help that Daily Rituals have been replaced by Daily Quests. Daily Rituals often required you to play a specific killer in order to complete them and incentivized you to play specific characters, but that's not a thing anymore (to be fair… I would guess many people just dismissed Demo's power ritual because it was one of the worst ones. It required you to hit survivors with fully charged pounces, but you usually don't want to fully charge before pouncing).
