All maps I play is Toba, Badham, Midwich and Nostromo. It feels awfull. I really liked the variants that made maps more interesting - Yamaoka, MacMillan, Ormond etc. Now it feels like there is 8 maps total. I think we should think of it, it had to cost a lot of resourced too to be just a custom game tool.

I'm getting a bit sick of every killer game I play seeming to being on Badham right now!

    Nah

All they did was confuse new players by needing to memorize even more maps and a lot of em were just horrible.

I mean map variants are something they invested a lot of times into. No map spawns the same anyway so the argument to memorize multiple maps isn't it. I personaly prefered suffoccation pit v2 over og one so did I with coal tower.

No. Removing map variants was the best thing they did for me in 2025. The variants were low quality compared to the originals, it was quite obvious that they did not spend much time creating them. Also they were not really balanced.

E.g. MacMillan was always considered as one of the most balanced realms, yet the variants for each map were horrible to play on. You also did not need 5 versions of Badham Preschool (which you even name as an example, I guess you want to play more on it if you want Map Variants back).

But the worst offender has always been Ormond - Ormond Lake Mine is one of the best maps they ever created and yet you never saw it, because two horrible variants of the original Ormond Map were also in rotation.

I'd rather see those maps get fixed.
