I wish my honeymoon with Vecna would last a long time
- ...and instead old Blight and Nurse players with meta perks are coming back today😢Really, from a fun point of view, Vecna is a real S-tier to play against. I haven't had this much fun since Dracula came out... GG Behavior.
- EDIT: Small clarification: in MY tier list of "fun" it is S+... as for the tier list of power I would say a very solid A

That's because people are realizing he isn't as strong as he seems. Every killer release works this way: everyone cries that the newest killer is OP, survivors adapt, turns out everyone overestimated the killer's power. And sometimes BHVR nerfs anyway, because the squeaky wheel gets the grease.
He's a pub stomper. Coordinated teams will not have a problem with him unless they are awful at juking.

How is he S tier? Yes, I agree, he's a lot of fun to go against but S tier? Sorry, but no.
1 -
Exactly. Even in my SoloQ games we stomp him by just holding W or waiting out using sprint burst when he's in upside down.

Nah.
He's like a modern Nurse. Give them some time to get good with him. His chase is absurd, he has great map control, good mobility.
He's, at the VERY least, at the top of A-tier. I've seen people calling him C-tier.

If there were cool downs implemented, or if the token system could be reevaluated, then he may not be S-tier.

Seems he is bringing Sprint Burst into the meta, since its a reliable way to avoid his transition from mobility (sorry, dont know the ability names). I've seen quite a lot of people running SB + Vigil.
pre-Vigil nerf, that would have been a dream2 -
He is overly strong in three ways:
- His attacks' visual effects do not accurately represent their hit-boxes, meaning that they sometimes unfairly connect.
- His attacks' visual effects sometimes appear instantaneously, making them even more difficult to evade.
- He can hold his power indefinitely, zoning his opponents for a freer hit, which is also a problem on a number of other Killers.

Bro he once played against 4 solo q playes, 2 of who were afk and he managed to 4k before 3 gens were done!! : / this is kinda problematic, I thinkhe needs PH lock in animation , charge time, and a 25% range reduction the he would be perfect!~~

There definitely is a problem if there's bad ping the hits are gonna look atrocious with dysnced hits.
Also Devs feedback to zoning was make his 1.25 cancel cooldown to 1.5 seconds so basically vecna can just go holds power if you vault or drop pallet I get a guaranteed hit and if you don't I can just cancel and hit you still.
2 -
I'm not sure if bad ping is the problem, as I do not recall one being present each time this core issue appeared.
I agree with the sentiment of your second paragraph, but I do think that the cancel cool-down works fine, as a Survivor who positions themself well will find it beneficial.

With 99% of games being public, that is a problem. And Vecna has problems beyond that. Guaranteed hits. Inconsistent hitboxes on top of that. A clock mechanic that has no additional functionality (it doesnt matter if you get rid of it, he gets it back 5 seconds later).
As for fun? Guaranteed hits are never fun.2 -
His hits are not guaranteed if Survivors dodge in diverse directions in open areas.
The clocks matter since he would assuredly dominate without their existence. If Survivors in a Trial don't want it to come back so fast, then they should dodge in the above way away from where the generators need to be repaired.
There are problems with him, but these are not them.

I believe it depends on the player survivor side. Some can juke him with ease, some say he's OP. Until a month has passed, don't beat yourself up over him. It'll even out. Promise :)
Also, he's high B/low A imo.

I think that he's an A-tier Killer, as well. He's oppressive yet always feels like he can be countered, unlike, say, The Nurse.

He said he's S tier in his ranking of who's fun to play against, and that his strength is more like an A tier

It depends more on the killer. I've faced 3 vecna's that barely got 4 hooks. Ive also faced vecna's that were absolutely impossible to dodge. You dont see where Vecna places a vine untill its too late to be able to dodge, so you guesstimate. Then you have his extra ability that guarantees a hit when you're below a survivor, which you can easily do as you're 2x as fast. It's wooshing sound is basically non-existant for survivors, and there isnt a lullaby attached to it.
And he isnt neccesarily too OP in the 1v1 as you can mindgame to dodge his vines, but any aura reading makes that basically free hits too.
His literal only counterplay is relying on shift+W because he is a 110 killer.2 -
Either its a fun killer that everyone wants to play. Thus, survivors will post <new kill> every match complaints. Or its a meh killer and everyone switches back to their normal mains after getting the achievements.
