tired of power struggle being the most useless perk

I actively use No Mither in a Treacherous Crows build, so I think I can speak with confidence that power struggle is worthless.

I'm getting tired of it, man. if you didn't know, killers can swing when they pick you up to just....delete the perk. you will drop the pallet, but the killer won't be stunned because they aren't under the pallet. how is this cheeseball Strat still around after these years?

it doesn't even feel good to pull off because you know your killer just got knowledge checked. I know I'm throwing my struggle bros under the bus here, but I'm a bit tilted from the last killer who nodded at me like he's clever.

it's not counterplay, it's just dbd being dbd. I don't care if power struggle is op or toxic it shouldn't work like this.

Ngl i had no idea you could circumvent it. I encounter it so infrequently, and I almost never walk through pallets while carrying , so I don't even think about.

Had a bot use it against me the other day though, which was a bit of a ego gut punch.

only reason I see it is because I meme with big hat Ace using plot twist+flip flop+ power struggle to boldly heal in chase and make the killers go "huh? is this ace crazy?"

I forgot this was a thing, and I remembered why I shelved it. it's a shame, because it's actually strong when killers just don't know what to do. if you play your cards right, you can take killers on a pallet tour

I as a killer main, whenever I see a survivor die under a pallet, I'm immediately assume they're gonna have either DS, or Flip Flop/Power struggle, so I try to vacuum pick them as far from the pallet as possible so I can safely swing out of it. Unfortunately the strategy is only ever really effective against newer killers. I guess you could run it without Flip Flop and then see if the maybe walks through a pallet while carrying, but other than that it's always been a pretty useless perk other than for that one gimmick build.

it might be a super situational perk BUT its one of the few times in dbd when i got scared shitless idk why but it always gets me

flip flop power struggle is op since it has no counterplay if someone hangs around long enough for you to hit the 35 and with no mither your not going to get slugged long enough for it to matter most likely you'll be tunneled out tbh

unless you hit them before the pallet drops. i don't get the short swing every time since i try to mindgame the pallet

Nah, Power struggle is actually a very disgusting perk when combined with Flip Flop, it basically makes impossible for the killer to pick up a survivor if there is another survivor nearby distracting you. I'm very glad almost no one uses it. This thing of swinging doesn't always work if you spam the drop button.

A few days ago I had a game with an Ellen who was trying to make Power Struggle work, but I countered it by… not slugging her. I thought she might be new, or boosted or maybe even on bad long because she was standing next to pallets and going down when she could have dropped them to prolong chase. I was playing Wraith and if she’d just predropped or gone for the stun I’d have been destroyed. Instead she and her team were kinda cooked by 2 gens because she kept falling over.

The real risk with it is its synergy with other perks or even pretty basic teamwork that can make it super obnoxious, which is probably why the devs don’t want to or haven’t considered buffing it.

Last time someone tried to use it against me and the pallet dropped when I was already out of stun range

I've been trying to mash the drop button because this smug nodder got under my skin and I wanted to confirm I wasn't just being slow. I mashed that button like my life depended on it. it's been a while, but I am somewhat confident there's a ping factor with pallet drops too(what was the threshold again? 60 ms ping? 100?) that'll start to interfere but there was no ping issue in this game. it was 100% swing tech.

after a spirit refused to pick me up when i got downed on a pallet as the last survivor and i had to crawl to her not to bleed out i got salty and never ran the perk again. lol

wherever you are, default spirit that downed me downstairs on badham main about two years ago, know that i still resent you to this day. 😤
