I am not playing the same game as the streamers'.
I watch YouTube videos of popular streamers to see what decisions they make in which situations as playing Killer, so I can improve my gameplay. But their videos are literally ridiculous. Unless they specifically name the title "versus a sweaty swf", most teams they play against are incredibly bad. Not the perks, but their gameplay:
- They catch multiple people repairing the same generator, easily applying pressure to multiple survivors. While I can only catch one Survivor at a time, and others would be popping gens after gens, because they are perfectly spread out.
- Their Survivors will keep repairing the generator until streamer comes to land a successful first hit, while mines would be long gone the moment they hear my Terror Radius.
- They will somehow immediately start a new chase after abandoning one, it turns out another Survivor were standing near to them without a purpose.
- Their Survivors will stumble to something while looping, giving a free M1.
- Their Survivors make stupid mistakes such as unintentionally sandbagging, resulting in multiple downs because somehow streamer was playing an instadown killer such as Bubba.
I simply don't get it. They have a lot more hours on this game, their "MMR" is probably a lot higher than mine, yet the Survivors the game decides to matchmake them with is just mindblowing. Its like they are playing this game on a seperate game mode.
I have 1600 hours. You can at least say I have a decent gamesense about DBD.

people aren't gonna upload videos where they get destroyed.

This
Not saying its a bad thing tho

Yeah, exactly this. You’re not seeing all the matches where they struggle against good survivor teams.
9 -
Some do like once a year hens uploads some vid about him getting cooked and few more content creators do but its rare to see from them.
Most casual one is when they loose some challange or streak.
4 -
Struggle you will see, but losing? Large majority of the time you wont
3 -
Even when they leave out the parts when they lose these people play the game as their job, they get paid for it so they invest an ungodly amount of time in the game having experience and knowledge 99% just don't.

streamers are probably smurfing but if you watch tru3 you'll learn some things
-18 -
I'm kind of confused what your point is because you don't explain what YOU go against in comparison.
Because if you claim you go against survivors who never do any of the things you mentioned then I don't know what to say.
I'm not saying your experiences are invalid but all of what you listed is common behaviour in average solo q games. I've seen it and I'm not ashamed to admit it I've done it too when I'm not playing my best.
Without constant new accounts it's not really possible to smurf because your MMR cannot go below the soft cap once you reach it. The soft cap is where the majority of people are iirc.
7 -
if the dbd content creator is making money why not have a main and a smurf or multiple since your making money off of it
-8 -
Their smurf will hit the soft cap quickly though if they are winning a lot for the sake of content
It's also been proven outside of the soft cap if you win a lot, your MMR gets raised quicker to combat smurfing.

oof definitely not anything good
14 -
I will learn how to blame everyone but myself for losing
13 -
- As for YouTube videos, survivar gameplay videos always show defeats, of course they also show good matches and improbable escapes, but they are not afraid to show their defeats. Killer videos very rarely show defeats, only victories.
8 -
Wow someone learned that videos are sample from huge amount of matches and are usually cherry picked because they are making content and them losing is not usually good content.
7 -
Idk man, its because of Tru3 that I learned the most optimal way to use Main Event as Trickster is to wait when there are minimum 6 trees and a rock between you and the Survivor. That way you might get a stack of Laceration!
8 -
True is horrible for someone of his experience level. Go watch someone who is actually good like Hens if you genuinely want to get better at the game.
11 -
If they, say are making a build video, they will likely exclude matches where they didn't get to use it.
2 -
And then get mad at everyone but the person who decided to use pop Main Event from forty meters away
9 -
This has been debunked so many times.

Forty!? Ive been popping it 50 meters away!
Thanks for the tip you a real one 🔥🔥

Pretty sure there was some drama a year or two ago about a ton of popular streamers smurfing or something. I don't remember.

I don't recall any drama, just the same unfounded rumours. Which was always strange to me because once upon a time devotion levels were viewable in lobby, and you could clearly see they didn't change - or very little when they did - in-between streams for popular streamers accused of smurfing.
3 -
when ur truly good at killer u would stomp most pub matches, it is what it is, unless mmr is truly fixed and strict.
