Favorite survivor class in 2v8

I'm curious what everyone's preferred class is, and why.

In half my matches, I'm the only GuIde, and the class feels really under-appreciated. Not only can I summon players to key gens but I can stick my blastmine on a nearby gen to either summon more people to that one or to keep an eye on it to get a read on killer location when they kick it. Or I can wiretap a middle one with minimal progress that the killers are unlikely to bother kicking. I've had a number of matches where all the gens left are on one side except one and I can get the survivors to help me with that last, isolated gen. It's more macro to me than something like Medic or Escapist.

On-demand sprint burst is pretty amazing

According to the stats, I spend 90% of my time playing as Scout. It just suits my stealthy play style the most, I guess.

The aura reveal wall hacks help a little with looping, as does the faster crouch walking speed against a Huntress. I like revealing the Killer's auras for my teammates while they're in chase, although it's sometimes difficult to tell if I'm actually doing that (I've been asking for a small BP reward for this as feedback for several iterations now). It can also be fun to rebuild and reset pallets, especially if they later come in clutch for a teammate.

But I have a feeling a lot of my fellow Scouts have moved over to the beamer class. But I won't be joining them, since I'm useless with a beamer and pretty much only use one to blind Killers at pallets. I think having more stealth Killers in the mode and a stealth class has weakened the Scout in more recent iterations, too.

The only downside for me is that sometimes other Survivors won't heal you because with the Iron Will effect, they don't realise you're injured!

    • Pallets class😎... besides being fun (I love walking with Urban Evasion and acting the fool with my teammates), it helps me to make generators in "unsafe" places, since I can recreate pallets

Guide is my go to. I've been a Blastmine fan since the perk came to the game and I tend to be a gen jockey so Guide is perfect for me. I don't know what it was about the other day but I guess the killers liked being ontop of eachother even when it came to gen kicks because I had a few times where the Blastmine blinded both killers, one time both killers and a zombie. 😂

If Guide is taken I go for Medic. If I can't Blastmine the killers I'll go rescue and heal my teammates.

First few iterations I mostly ran Escapist, not because I'm good in chase (I'm terrible) but because it's cooldown was the shortest and the killers seemed to like slugging more often. Shorter cooldown meant I could pick myself up more often.

Scout and Guide. Scout because i can't rely on my team mates to rebuild important pallets, and Guide because if I'm not in chase I'm glued to a gen, so it's useful.

Normally escapist. But right now i play with friends and use medic. Taking a hit for an injured teammate and then instahealing with two medic charges is really strong.

I like to play Scout and opening all the chests around the map while I find and/or bait killers.

Honestly there should be a class for that. Letting you start equiped with a key.

Medic is my most frequent played, also probably my strongest. Having someone dedicated to getting survivors unhooked and healed up is very beneficial.

Scout is probably the most fun, in part because of how unique it is, trying to spot killers for the team and rebuilding pallets.

I've had a number of trials were we're all throwing ourselves at the gens on one side, trying to spread them out, the killers intensely defending, and then after many minutes of doing this, finally the Guide is like 'hey guys, over here!'.

I play medic a lot just to use Lisa Garland, but typically I'm the scout but for this 2v8 I'm studying the new class in the name of S C I E N C E!

having scouts and torchbearers make Nemesis not so bad. I love scout countering Huntress.

I stick with the Medic class because I like my fast heals. XD

    I still like scout.

Aura reading on killers for others and remaking god pallets will always be strong for the overall team.

Obviously Escapist is incredible, but when I'm not doing Escapist I love Scout

Being able to restore pallets every 60 seconds works 2 ways, 1 you can always know at least 1 pallet nearby. 2 it lets you fake vault with the any means necessary, 3 it counters Nemesis zombies since you can stun them and Nemesis is popular 4 it supports the team as a whole by restoring expended resources, even if you never use it yourself.

Add on free iron will and immunity to the 12 meter scream and it's really good!

Edit: I forgot about the aura reveal to other survivors too. It's so helpful!

any good Trapper should have scout induced trauma that they feel the need to play Shadow class. having one person trail and reveal the Trapper is pretty devastating. people do that in 1v4 anyways, but 1 person filming a Trapper livestream to the whole class keeps him down pretty good.

also, any killer team that dares to double team will get severely punished as you'll show the whole team that most of the map is currently safe.

Guide because it has Blast Mine. Any time a killer gets stunned by my Blast Mine, even if I'm caged on the opposite side of the map, it always brings out the inner child in me. I can't help it.

i just like scout, its useful in most situations.
    help your teammate?, reveal aura.
no idea what to do?, repair a pallet.
getting chased?, get aura reading for yourself!.

i love the rework scout got, genuinely the most unique class from 2v8 that cant be replicated for 1v4.

Scout no 1. Escapist 2nd but I have been trying a little Torchbearer for practice

Scout and Medic. I feel like most really underestimate how powerful it is to have resources all game. Guide feels like such a waste to me, since all you do is blastmine a gen. Most gens are easy to spot so there is no need to highlight it imo.

And medic is great if you can insta-heal someone mid-chase or just off hook.

I play guide the most because I derive an evil pleasure in blast mining killers 🤣 and doing my utmost to prevent the team from doing al of the gens on one side of the map

I usualy go with guide too. I cant even count the amount of times ive been the only person on the team that knows where the last generators are and end up finnishing the last one. And the blastmine i find is a quick way to gain bp besides being a beacon lol

Medic is my favorite, but I usually end up doing cleanup - as a Scout.

I can play all of the classes, but i kinda stay away from scout. The broken pallets annoy me so much, and honest i feel like that class is just kinda useless compared to others.

I usually go for medic or escapist.

While I entirely suck at 2v8, I do enjoy the Scout the most. The kit is comfy and if I actually put time into the mode, I might be alright lol.

I usually switch between Guide and Medic. Guide feels the most strategic to me, which makes it a little more fun; Medic is the most mobile. So, when I'm sick of doing gens, I play medic and run to the opposite side of the map from where the chase is, and then I feel really satisfied when the cage spawns right beside me.

For me i like to play Scout. On certain maps you can rebuild got pallets over and over, like the RPD stairs pallet. Maybe i'll play Medic or guide once and a while.
