The weird part of playing Killer as a Survivor main.
Hello everyone,
so… today was the big day I finally decided to come back to play dbd after a long break which I need from time to time and you won´t belive what my eyes saw. Two new survivors and a new Killer and more importantly new archivments which as the person I am like to archive.
So after a break from over 3 months I started playing the new Survivors and got the addept really fast because the Killers I versed werent that good at all. So I decided to did the thing I hate the most about DBD swapping to Killer.
My hands started shaking and my performance annixiety raised high but I thought to my self calm down it is nearly 4 months ago that I played my last Killer round so what could possible the worst that could happen?
Well… after 15 games I finally got my addept after a long series of ending matches with 1 to 2 hooks…
So my question is the following. How is it possible that after a long break of 4 months my Survivor games feel like the Killer never touched the game before? While my Killer games feel like the Survivors know every pixel perfect frame to archive dodges, flashlight saves and so on?
Is it just me?

The potential thing that happened is maybe, you just got bad luck.
But also, the new killer is supposedly quite challenging to pick up, as he depends heavily on predictions, similarly to Nurse.
Plus, there is a bug that spawns way more pallets than usual in the 1v4 mode.

Hey there,
thanks for the answer. Yeah I noticed that his ability especially the ground thing is really hard to hit. But I never had such problems with nurse. Maybe because i can slightly correct my blinks with her attack a little bit.
But as you know you can tell if Survivors touch the game for the first time or they know what they have to do.
So yeah maybe it was bad luck but I kinda have the feeling that it always happens when I try the addept on killer.

- When you consistently play as a killer, you'll encounter teams of survivors going completely in the opposite direction... survivors who literally took over the game maybe half an hour ago. We remember the difficulties more easily, but we rarely focus on the "easy" things.

Yeah but shouldn´t this the other way around?
If you play less Killer you should get easier Survivors?
And if you play more Killer and are better than casuals you get better Survivors?
And I give you the point ofcourse we remember the bad games more but since I played this year only these rounds as Killer and got my butt beaten as hard as possible this isn´t the case here.

If you were playing as Vecna (Henry) , another factor to count in is New released killer = very commonly played, to a point where every survivor at every skill level has seen vecna many times and had practice against him, whereas its your first time learning him.
^for this reason i always try to do the killer adept achievements on the first day they launch, as that is the time the survivors are still learning how to play against that new killer. Because after a while, almost everyone knows what to do either from video tutorials or experience.

Im assuming you mean vecna? Try running aura read spam on him. You'll be vining people through walls in no time.
But yeah a lot of good survivor teams around atm. And i feel you on adepts. Survivor adepts all you need is to get one single escape. But killer adepts you need basically a perfect game and you have to make sure you've got the last two survivors locked down. So many times someone will bring a hatch offering

It is hard to bring Aura read Spam if you are only playing with his perks :P

Oh i just meant that as general advice, since you said you already got the adept

I encountered this all the time. When I play survivor it's either a handy loss or a tight game. When I play killer I'm against 10k hour pc juicers who run circles around me.
It's a large reason as to why I quit.

I honestly think the issue may be from the lobby back filling from other killers leaving that lobby then you get stuck in it.
A lot of the time my pre game lobbies have the killer leave at least once, this leads to people backfilling into the lobby with little regard to MMR.0
