Trickster Rework Revealed!!!
On the Community live stream Trickster rework was revealed.
Trickster Update:
-Trickster’s blade count has been slightly reduced
- Style Ranks & Combo Timer
Rewards accuracy with blades, Tracks distinct actions in the trial, Improves Trickster's Blade throw and Locker reload speeds, Ties skill to reaching S-Rank to Main Event faster
Tbh it doesn't really seem like a rework nothing was changed much except blade count more like an Addition I'd say.

They did say only 3 add ons remained the same so also an add-on pass.
I guess some of the add ons will be all about gaining more style points for doing certain interactions.
Maybe like getting the bouncing knives and when you hit a survivor with the bounce then trickster gets like double or triple style points.
So maybe trickster will be like pyramid head. Basic at core value but the interesting parts come with the add ons.

- I'm in for a rough ride... I hate Trickster, and obviously everyone will want to try him. Along with Twins, he's the least fun killer for me to deal with.😓

I wonder if he's now 4.4 m/s killer or still 4.6

so basically no one's going to be playing him on controller still, got it.

Yeah same, he is my most disliked killer. I might just play killer for a month lol

Yeah… as a "rework" this really doesn't change much. The biggest change was bringing back the six knife injure and reducing his total knife count. I guess he's also getting an addon pass? But the style ranks literally are just… playing trickster as to how he was always played. Like cool he can reveal survivors with killer instinct but with a lower knife count making missing even more punishing like I get its 6 knife injure but nearly half his release knives?
Like we could have had recoil and added throw style with like a burst option with decently high recoil or a shotgun type blast that applies less stacks overall but reworked stacks to be more punishing then the lame "at x stacks you get injured"
In fact less knives overall just really incentivizes tunnel visioning one person rather than spreading knives which seemed to be what they wanted as hitting multiple people increases style faster.0 -
He doesn't seem any different power strength wise might still be 4.6

Yeah reducing the knives is a weird one unless upgrading your style meter gives massive reloading and knife throw speed it's really just gonna hinder him

if he has 6 knives to injure I'm cautiously optimistic about 4.4

That's what I was hoping for too he's terrible on controller and I hoped they did something about it

They lowered the amount of knives in order to injure a survivor from 8 to 6

Really? Okay that changes his lethality he might be stronger depending on how his style meter gives

What can they even do? They got rid of the recoil a long time ago so it really is just aiming. The current version requires I think 8 knives to injure which is why it feels so bad, and makes times shots feel worthless. With the knives being taken down, you'll feel more rewarded for aiming, rather than firing at full rate.

Well the thing they can do like most shooters is give Console Players Soft Aim assist.
Since trickster knives were reduced in count and there hitbox size is like a Slinger Harpoon it'll be a good help for controller players since fine aiming is miserable on controller.
