I’m so sick and tired of 2v8 and chaos shuffle
BHVR, please come out with brand new modes, we never get anything new to the current modes every time they return.

Yeah. I've never particularly liked 2v8 but it's getting exceedingly old after the 7th time. Especially given how little changes with each iteration. Chaos Shuffle is close behind in terms of getting repetitive.
Where is Lights Out? Where is My Little Oni? Or any of the other game mode ideas they came up with in those surveys ages ago?

I love 2v8. Lots of other people do too. BHVR can’t make everyone happy. Whatever new modes they come up with are going to be loved by some and hated by others.

Since BHVR aren't doing anything about slugging and tunnelling anymore, these modes are pretty much the only times that I'll play Survivor these days (Chaos Shuffle often has plenty of tunnelling and slugging, but at least Killers can't also bring 4 slowdown perks to compound the misery).
They are the closest thing we have to casual modes, so I'm usually happy to see them return because I know all my fellow casuals will be queuing up there too. These modes don't seem to appeal to the more competitive side of the player base, which helps to make the trials feel a little bit more chill.
That's not to say I don't want to see BHVR develop new modes or to continue to improve established ones, because I do. The ideal for me is a rotation of casual modes so that I don't really have to play regular 1V4 ever again if I don't want to.

My biggest grip with 2v8 is how it destroy queues in 1v4. If i want to play killer in 1v4 i need to wait 8m for a match; if i play survivor, probably will get a Blight, a Ghoul or a top tier killer desperate to win due to how long it waited in queue.
BHVR really should implement the play before you wait in the 1v4. It would help queue and would be a nice incentive to play both sides of DBD.

2v8 is great but can get boring with how survivor sided it is like I have now got 100 escape challange/quest done and playing as killer feels so terrible sometimes even if you preform well the catch up mechanic still kicks your butt so I get it can get boring after some time not to mention killer games are now 30+ minutes for me which isnt good thing either and playing easy survivor mode gets boring fast after getting 80+ escapes.
Chaos was great the last one was the best one i ever played because the maps werent 100% guarantee with offering (so no longer survviors or killers trying to abuse the random mode with guarantee map that boost them a lot) and the addons werent that bad, only issue I had was with few killers that have some addons enabled like the blight has that one that gives you 8 dashes but you cant turn or you can but very little and you cant dash if you dont have all 8 tokes so 5 basekit tokes is 10 seconds cooldown and 8 is 16 seconds and almost no turn rate so its huge nerf or on billy that addon that reduces your 1 second where you can turn without limit (the 1 second where billy can curve) by 70% so its not 1 second but 0,30 second which is straight up nerf or padded jaws on trapper.
Just some addons on some killers that made their power worse than in their basekit form and no one uses them this was my biggest turn off from last chaos shuffle but than other things were good, better than before I would say.
My little oni was on april like two years ago as meme mode for a week and I think they could add it back.
The lights out wasnt worst too just sometimes put it back for week so its not just same meta 1v4 gameplay that gets boring fast too.

- Yes, I'm tired of 2Vs8 too. The problem is that "Lights Out" and "My Little Oni", for my taste, are even worse. The only one that's still nice is Chaos Shuffle, but instead of making it a separate mode, I'd make a "Chaos Shuffle button"... whenever you want, press the button, random perks and double Boodpoints... I'd do it very often. I want something truly new and innovative. Or, if we really have to be repetitive, I'd like a mode (even just one map) in OG mode, for me that would be a dream.

I'm not sure what is left to say about Lights Out. It has been the same story twice now. It releases and everyone complains about how it's the worst thing ever. Then the devs say that no one played it. Then it goes away and people ask when it's going to come back. Then predictably people hate it again… Why would it be different the third time? It seems like a failed game mode to me. It was one of those ideas that sounded cooler than it actually was in practice.

At least you don't have to wait half an hour to play as killer when only the regular mode is available.

I don't mind that they exist and i get people like them but I do mind what they do to the 1v4 queue. The choices are play 2v8, which I don't love, or play 1v4 with the sweatiest people. I end up just playing 2v8 survivor for brainless BP accumulating but I'm always desperate for it to end. Asking for something new is a lot at this point. Reassessing Light Out would be nice, but it's unlikely.
We do get new stuff in 2v8 though.

They could just bring back Lights out and port over Prop Hunt, having a mix of just CS and 2v8 is overexposing the modes to everyone and just making people wish they never came back. I get CS and 2v8 are the more popular modes but IMO BHVR needs to give them a break and either bring back the older less popular modes with massive overhauls, or just make more gamemodes. I know easier said then done but just 2v8 and CS over and over is causing burnout.

Yeah I agree some new modes and some of the other modes that others suggested would be neat.

I'm bored with 2v8, too. Why can't we get the Lunar New Year lanterns event? Lights Out? My Little Oni? We should have mini weekend events for existing older events, rather than 2v8 every few weeks, which is always getting extended.

I wouldnt say destroys 1v4 Queues. At least not for me in my region. My EST for queue is less than 4 minutes on killer and 17 seconds on Survivor.

Aye, unfortunately they cannot please everyone and for now, this reason alone is probably why it's a good thing the events are currently a set duration. A lot of people like 2v8 as it's more casual and enables larger friend groups to play together not forgetting the novelty of no longer being alone in the killer role.

My interest in chaos shuffle went long ago, i never play that mode when its on. 2 v 8 started to get old the previous 1 or 2 versions…Now 2 v 8 is a complete miss for me just like chaos shuffle.
These modes are good as a novelty but that wears off very fast especially when its pretty much the same thing as last time. If they brought a new mode or one we rarely see such as lights out then i would probably play them.

2v8 can destroy the game's queue times for 7 iterations back to back and the community will still insist that its a workable modifier that they should make permanent.
Lights Out gets tried twice and is apparently a write off for all eternity. This community is so fickle.
