2v8 RPD is still too small.
Almost every one of the killers has a movement-based ability. It takes them no time to go from one side to the other.
You put 8 survivors in that small RPD building and specifically start us on one side and the killers on the other.. it's almost an easy wash.
It's also super obvious that killers with higher collision have them tuned down for 2v8, making it harder for survivors because we only have narrow hallways.
Most maps aren't that bad, but I've not had a good experience on RPD unless it's a killer that sucks on RPD, such as the Huntress or Wraith.

I wonder if bringing back the upstairs library maybe putting a gen up there would make it feel bigger.
It think it would be hard to change RPD size.5 -
haven’t even got rpd on 2v8 it feels like they removed it.

The other problem with 2v8 is its like a 3 square area, with a choke point in the middle. If a killer is in any of those 3 squares, the gens can barely get done in that area, if survivors get hooked from one side to the other, the remaining ones have to fight through a killer at the choke point to go and save anyone in the other square often leading to the most people dieing or going into second stage on hooks. So not only is it easier to defend most of the generators in that map with 2 ppl, its easier to hook multiple people and prevent them from saving eachother. In other words very very killer sided

RPD just requires from survivor to actualy use brain and dont slap gens that are closest to them but more tactical aproach like doing the middle and leaving the edges or some gens there for later but hard to expect something like this from some meagheads.
Personaly i dont think this map needs any change considering its in so survivor sided mode and compare to other maps where some loops are busted beyond 2017 DBD double pallet jungle gyms.

I don't have an issue with its size personally, but I certainly have an issue with its gen spread, gen spawns are all far too clustered around the main hall

I think it's big enough. The reason why is that people can and will go to second stage because they have been caged on the opposite side of the map.

I guess for 2v8, they could have opened up the outside areas in the front and the back of the building, giving players alternate routes from the east wing to the west wing. That way, they aren't forced to pass through the middle, especially if one of the killers is hanging around there a lot.

we kinda need at least one killer favoured map in this mode. dividing killers by East and West makes it easy to coordinate. so many open levels to dodge killer powers it's refreshing to have straight narrow and cramped hallways. we've only got Lerys and RPD for that.

My issue with it isn't the size but how it's segmented between the wings and the main hall. It's far too easy for the Killers to patrol one of them and shut it down entirely.

RPD is a lot different than the other 2v8 maps. Survivors must spread out to the other wing early, which requires navigating the central lobby. Killers have the potential to comeback if they end up trapping all the survivors on one side of the map and then cages start spawning with no one to release them.
On the other hand, the upstairs/downstairs sections give a lot more ground to cover and survivors have clear directions to shift W to that are still pretty strong.
I think the idea of connecting the back sections would probably help out the map a bit, but it has its pros and cons for both sides.
