Are we getting closer to disabling voice lines?

Another chapter, another yapper. Why would I want to play a character who's going to constantly monologue in the lobby or worse? It kills the immersion of playing said character. This game was not designed with voice lines in mind and each additional character further detracts from the quality.

Is Yun-Jin going to silently glare back when spoken to? Will Jake acknowledge another Korean speaker? It doesn't matter. There's infinite possibilities with older and future content but those bases will never be covered. It's going to be the same handful of repetitive one-liners.

Does it add short term novelty for someone? Sure. But this will be another hard pass for me. By all means continue with adding voice acting but there is no downside to adding a mute Toggle for players who want the classic experience or just a break. I just have no desire to third wheel as characters unrelated to me gab off.

this!! I like Lara but I hate hearing constant talking in the trials. ‘no no no’ like just shush. I want to play eleven and I want to play others, but I don’t care to hear them talking. Renato is my favorite, and I love that Thalita and him talk in lobby. THAT is fun and interesting. Please for the love of god BVHR let us disable in game voicelines

I was hoping we'd actually get more characters interacting with each other in the lobby like the Lyra siblings do. But so far we got nothing...

I do wish if there was an option to turn it off.

Its pretty distracting and ruining the dbd atmosphere when im getting chased/chasing.

Nah, we never get options that are literally basic in every other game. Or at least not within 5 years unless they can praise themselfs for them (like with aura changes now).

So what led to the decision to have the lore awareness to have Tae-Young recognize Yun-Jin but not have her react at all? This is exactly the textbook reason why this game should have never implemented voice lines.

All they do is lead to these bizzare one sided interactions that serve no purpose but to detract value.

I think there are one or two other interactions. In the lobby Vee will ask Survivors that play an instrument if they need a drummer, for example. Maybe the Walk Dead characters talk to each other too but I'm not sure about that.

I like the talkative Survivors but they could probably stand to talk a little less than they currently do in trials. I wouldn't be opposed to a toggle for players that hate all the yapping. Chucky can yap all he wants though, because it's funny to hear him curse at Survivors and a big part of his character.

I hope so. I'd main Vee for the background music if she wasn't a yapper.

I hope they do add the option to disable. I live in fear that all my survivors are going to get voice lines (and new pain sounds/screams) and they're gonna be awful.

I hope they have option to disable. They get old quick. It's one thing for it to be in the lobby but in the actual trial it's pretty annoying. Also not a fan of licensed characters having voice lines that aren't performed by the actual actors - if it costs real money I want the actual actor not someone doing an impersonation.
