Get rid of that “entity displeased” screen…

One of the reasons people sweat so much playing killer is cause they know, if they can’t secure at least one single kill before the gates open they’re gonna get hit with that AWFUL noise followed by that insulting results screen.

It’s like a middle finger for even attempting to play killer. If killer (and dbd as a whole) is meant to be fun and people shouldn’t care so much then why does this rage bait screen exist. It’s not bad enough I gotta get flashlight and teabagged at the gates but the game has to step in and insult me as well?

It’s the same thing in fighting games. It’s literally proven players get more upset seeing a “You lose” screen rather than just a “Player X wins” screen.

Just tell me my score and move on. I know it’s a minuscule complaint in the grand scheme of things, but its removal would make killer losses 3X more palatable..

    • Well, if we really want to make a comparison, it's better to leave someone displeased than a "you're dead!!!!" screen from the survivor.🤣 But come on, it's just a game, don't feel offended.

I can't relate to this at all, honestly. It seems like a fun little thing the devs added. The purpose of the game isn't exactly to kill the survivors, but to "feed" the entity. It sustains itself off of the emotions of the survivors and killers in its realm, so if you don't get any kills, of course the entity is going to remain hungry at the end of the match. I don't see any reason to get rid of it. It's just letting you know how the entity is feeling :/

I get that it feels like a Dark Souls 'YOU DIED' screen, but in reality I agree with the others here. It wouldn't balm enough burns to be worth the change, and it does simply represent the state of the end-game. It's a competitive game and there will be winners, there will be losers. I see no harm in demonstrating that condition in lore-friendly fashions rather than something direct.

If it were changed to 'YOU LOST' or 'YOU FAILED' I think we'd just be talking about removing that, which is borderline nonsensical to me. Sorry OP.

I don't think the removal of that quote is going to make the sensation of ball sweat on a killers head, feel any less unpleasant. I think the tea bag is what's doing most of the psychological damage.

Should also give them a pat on the back and a there there.

Also an achievement that says they did their best.

I don't think this is a common enough complaint that it would make sense to change it to be honest. Now I wouldn't mind if there was an option to skip seeing the entity displeased/merciless killer//you died/whatever match result screen since it'd make it slightly faster to move on to the next match, but I don't think it's worth the dev time to implement. Consider, is it really the screen you're upset about, how the match went as a whole, or how the players you're playing against acted?
