Who are the most iconic forum members on here?

Would agree on some, but some others on the list probably not in a good way.

I still see the odd c3tooth post on reddit, so she's confirmed alive at least. probably the one person that can give @GannTM a run for their money

Aww thanks, tbh i expected to be completely forgotten on here by now…
These forums used to be so fun but there are so many glaring issues with them and BHVR/DbD itself that i kinda drifted away from trying to help out or giving constructive feedback 😅
one forum member i haven’t seen mentioned and definitley deserves a spot is @KateMain86 , iykyk9 -
Yes, you pretty much summed it all up.
I too miss when the forums used to be fun, instead of the state they are in today.8 -
Yes, that was the name, thank youu ^-^
Lowkey curious as to what happened 👀 I took a long break way from DBD and here.
Nope, one of my favourite persons on here. Hope you're doing well gamer!

i have been away for some time as well so don’t have any details on Forum stuff and discussing bans is gonna get me banned anyway but there have been some debates about forum moderation, some mods left for various reasons, there have been some questionable bans (with the ban system being super weird but thats not new…).
As for the game itself, also nothing new i think just that balance, QoL and Quality Assurance seems always to be too slow/not up to the Standard you would expect with the game being arguably very successful and that not since yesterday.. (though the general direction is great.. but why are customizable colors just now implemented? Cross hair locked behind an addon? Just two current examples)5 -
On the topic of the game itself, the new Trickster rework and map looks really well done. So at least they got that.
I guess the crosshair behind an add-on would be like a test. It really should be an accessibility feature though.1 -
Thats one thing i love about the dbd forrums the community managers and devs dont care about favorites.
-10 -
Yeah, they don't care about anyone equally. 😎
10 -
If you're talking about bans, then it's sad for most of us because the "favourites" move on at that point. Unlike certain others who get banned and just come back with alt accounts..
8 -
that couldnt be any further from the truth though🙃🤷♂️

No not bans, I just like how they dont care about biased popular opinions. If it doesn't make sense, it doesn't make sense. Alot of forrums fall victim to biased views because its a popular opinion. I feel like this is one of the reasons DBD has lasted for so long.
-5 -
Ain't that irony lol. All the people who actually put the years of work and commitment in get banned because they make mistakes sometimes and degrading doesnt exist currently. So they eventually get full banned or a long enough one and just kinda realize they werent making change anyway or if they were it was very rare. So just move on. The people who come in to make trouble can make infinite accounts and command space and get more attention that way. I have a lot of respect for people sticking through though so a post like this is good for getting those people their recognition. You all are awesome.

they literally listen to the loud and crying crowd all the time especially when it comes to actually needed bigger balance chances that may affect certain playstyles that are popular (regardless of survivor or killer side)…
4 -
@NotJared is a pretty steady workhorse who you can count on to gather PTB feedback; I never see this guy post anything but PTB feedback, but when you see him he's working hard
5 -
If they did i can think of so many things that are in the game right now that wouldnt exist. I like how they at least TRY to balance off feedback thats not biased in nature and makes sense. Theres alot of poplular opinions here that gets backed hard that are flawed and they get ignored. Excellent dev team.
-2 -
and you can tell what is biased feedback and what is not? As well as which opinioms are flawed and should rightfully be ignored?
Or could it be that it just so happens that your personal biased opinion just aligns well with this ‘excellent’ dev team? (Which would be fair enough though should be phrased as such…)
3 -
Its pretty easy to tell especially when your a person who plays both killer and survivor and pretty good at the game.
I dont have one biased opinion that me and the devs share 😂, i just appreciate the fact they can tell when people are just wrong no matter if its a popular take in a thread or not. Alot of dev teams fall victim to this and it ruins games.

Everyone has a biased opinon, even if you play both roles. And this company has repeatedly listened to loud outcries from streamers who make money off the game (read: biased) and randoms screeching anonymously on the internet. Even the forum is filled with people making daily posts about how it's the game or their opponenets fault that they did badly, never themeslves. The opinions of people incapable of personal responsibility are of little value, and using them is not impressive—it's spineless.
9 -
That just isnt true, not everyones opinions are prejudiced in nature. This is what dev teams try to actively avoid to make the game better. If the developers based balance around the loud crowd, again, i can think of alot of things that wouldnt exist in the game right now.

i was about to mention this guy too. i love their feedback and how detailed it gets. it's very underappreciated

i love debby daylight:)
(when you don't see me here, i'm busy reporting dozens of bugs on the BetaHub!)
4 -
Yup. We lose genuine long-time contributing members because they dare call out these agitators with multiple accounts

Everyone has biases. It’s simply unavoidable if you have an opinion. Even Descartes was biased in his famous thought experiment and his final conclusion from it. He, like all of us, was influenced by the beliefs of his time.
The power lies in knowing where your bias lies.

The devs dont balance in a way that is prejudice. They have methods, the same way scientist do. It has to make sense.
This is what i appreciate from the dev team here, because it shows. Its easy to see when you play both sides and have gotten pretty good at the game. Theirs alot of popular opinions here that get flat out ignored, ignored for a long time. And the devs never cave in because if it doesnt makes sense it doesnt make sense.
They dont care about "favorites" in a forrum. If your wrong your wrong. thats a W imo.

Prejudice is something different from bias, though. We can discuss things without prejudice, ie., not immediately assume anyone who disagrees is arguing in bad faith.
Being biased is inherent to having an opinion, though. The devs themselves claim they have a slight bias towards killer being stronger, ‘cause it’s a horror game, and the killer needs to feel threatening. If that bias wasn’t there, we would have a very different game on our hands.
Alternatively, are you more likely to listen to someone with 10.000 hours, or someone with 10? Who’s more likely to know the ins and outs of the game? And the other way round, who’s more likely to spend more money on chapters, new and old?
Besides, if you can somehow manage to get through life without having any biases, you’d have outdone history’s most important philosophers.

I've yet to meet an unbiased player, even top tier ones with 10-15k hours in this game. We've had many "I play 50-50" people in this forum. Watch them long enough and you'll see their pattern of always defending one side over the other. How you view the two different roles and how they should be approached is going to be different because they are different, even if you don't have a preference. The devs tried to put anti-cheese through and instead of having a backbone, they caved to outcry. That is listening to loud people.
The only way it's possible to be as close to unbiased in this game as possible is to not play it or listen to the whining, but to look at it as a series of data.

I am one but most likely you will claim I am not but that is your choice.
