Hackers out of control
Ive had many matches lately, specifically in the past 2-3 days where there are hackers running rampant its so blatant that in one of my matches at the end a survivor said yeah they were hacking. Anyone else running into this? Should I not play on the steam client or is console pretty rough too?

Cheaters have been running rampant not in the past 2-3 days, but rather in the past 9-10 years. They are part of the game now, as the devs refuse to add server-side validation of client actions, since they don't have a reason to do so: the DLC sales are through the roof, in every other game there is a Stranger Things character in the lobby, so BHVR has no reason to fix something that is not broken.

Just based on my personal experience I wouldn’t say it’s “out of control”. I rarely see blatant cheaters, and my overall results on both survivor and killer side don’t seem to indicate that there are a large number or subtle cheaters (if there are, they aren’t doing a very good job of winning games that they would otherwise lose).
I’m not saying that the problem doesn’t exist at all, because I have definitely seen it happen at least once a week, but it’s definitely in a small percentage of my matches.
One thing that makes it hard to believe that this is a “rampant” problem is that nobody who creates these threads ever provides video evidence. If you’re seeing it so often, you should have no problem providing a few example video clips. If we start flooding this forum with cheating examples, maybe that is something that would at least make BHVR start looking at the problem. But like I said, I don’t think it’s as widespread as some people claim.-5 -
Hackers are quite common these days. For example, in this 2v8 game, there are killers and survivors who exploit this vulnerability. This problem has existed for a long time, and the game's owners do nothing about it. If this game had a way to view recently played matches, believe me, I and more than half of the DBD players would be constantly uploading them.

This! I reported to BHVR and I wasnt recording any games but if I could go back you would see…

Look at this poor man being bullied by a Brazilian hacker, but I still don't blame the hacker because this is a problem that's been around for quite some time; the developers don't invest in anti-cheat for the game, and that Brazilian hacker is living proof.

I had one match yesterday where someone was crouching away super fast when killer was coming towards them, the only way I could tell is because I could see her aura as I was on hook and she didn't even have urban evasion so there was no way she could move that fast, killer did not even realize until I mentioned in EGC because she was only speed hacking to hide. (everyone still died)
Just make me think how many people are hacking but are not dumb enough to use it when team mates are on hook and see aura so they never get caught.2 -
Our last 2 2v8 games had a hacker in, funny, but really annoying too

Yep thats the other thing is not everyone is full "rage hacking" but sometimes you see things that just dont add up and its very subtle.

Exactly this. Not been playing killer due to queue times, but so many suspicious things happening in my survivor games last night. Played 5 or 6 games and in two games the killer just knew the exact location of the next survivor to chase after hooking despite not having BBQ or any other perks or add ons that would make this possible. Beelining cross map to the exact rock the last survivor was behind despite no scratch marks or crows startled, everyone thinking the killer has BBQ so pre hide in lockers only for the killer to go to the exact location and open the exact locker with no perk or power to help do that.
Lots of little things that just make no sense at all. There's killers with good game sense and then there's killers that seem to have infornation their builds just don't give them access to. No doubt it's happenung the other way round as well.

I said this before, and i will say it again
Sadly these threads does nothing :
- Cheaters are nothing new.
- Lacking anti-cheat is nothing new.
We keep buying the DLC every 3 months, no matter how bad the cheating gets.
Today's game companies don't care about making good games or keeping cheaters out. They only care about maximizing their profits while spending the bare minimum.

I had hackers advertising their discord link as username and some hackers spamming end game chat to buy their cheats.
The hacking prevalence is only going to get worse as time goes on and bhvr not doing anything about it.
